  I searched on the adobe site to check if I can get an upgrade to Indesign CS3 to Indesign CS5 server. I have Indesign CS3 license, but must migrate to Indesign CS5 Server. • How to restore good export PDF from InDesign CS3 or CS5 in Snow Leopard?

  I had no problem to export to PDF from InDesign CS3 files (on a Mac Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.4) until last weekend, when all the fonts appear bitmap or thin and rough, and the images lost color depth and contrast. When I copied the InDesign document to my MacBook Pro laptop, also running 10.6.4 the PDF has emerged with its original quality. Support calls Adobe referred me to the incompatibilities between Snow Leopard and InDesign documents. One of these documents was several pages long, but I could not print from the Adobe to my HP website all-in-one Officejet, because one-third of the document was hidden under a white board. This makes it impractical for the troubleshooting document, because I don't have enough screen real estate (even on a 23-inch screen) to let the open document and all the pages and dialogue boxes needed for reference. Back to the phone and chat support, I was told to upgrade my Creative Suite Premium CS3 to CS5 ($ 800!) and buy the updated Acrobat Pro ($200), with no guarantee that this cost of $1,000 would actually solve the problem. I downloaded the trial version of InDesign CS5, and it has NOT solved the problem. I am also afraid that the problem did not exist before last weekend. Before that, my CS3 and Snow Leopard combination worked very well. Then I checked the forums and was appalled by the variety of issues related to PDF files, for which there seems to be no general solution. Meanwhile, I have hundreds of ads, I'm supposed to be prepare and e-mailing as evidence PDF to businesses nationwide. I have two books of 120 with 256 pages to be submitted to printers in PDF format with all kinds of fonts and files image belonging to my clients. The last time I presented a paper on a printer by electronic mail, the work went perfectly. This time and the next, it is obvious, that I won't be able to send a PDF file to all! If this is the case, my activities related to the directories of 27 will be unable to absorb the expenditures necessary to start all over again with software and new computers, and I'll be out of business. • missing fonts in Indesign CS3

  I have a weird problem with missing fonts in InDesign CS3 and Photoshop CS3 under Windows 7 64-bit. PostScript fonts are not on their menu, but are listed as being installed in the menu \windows\fonts. Fonts are also available in Microsoft products and in Framemaker. The strange thing is that the old saved files that use PS fonts have always listed fonts (but not other fonts PS). If I open a file inherited with the particular font to PS, I can create a new InDesign file that will have this font available. If the legacy file is not open, the new file will not police as an option. I know that the CS3 products are pre-Win 7 64 bit, but Framemaker, for all its ancient code, works like a charm.

  By fonts PostScript , we assume you mean fonts Type 1.

  There was a problem in CS3 as you describe. The problem is solved with the CS4.

  The solution is to copy the Type 1 fonts (both the.) PFB and. PFM for each font file) in the InDesign and Creative Suite-specific fonts directory. They will be seen by the CS3 applications.

• Fonts missing after migration to InDesign CS3

  After migration to InDesign CS to a new PC, a font is missing: Arial Narrow family. I've used this for large number of tables in a book, I need to find a method to retrieve this font. Arial Narrow police is listed in the installation of Windows fonts (Vista). The police is also listed in the font list of InDesigne CS3 on my old PC.

  Is there a way to fix this?

  If this does not work, you will need to copy the old policies of the other system and reinstall new versions.

  I read everything I could find on the mssing fonts, but continue to have problems with opening the InDesign files and receive a message on a police missing (Arial Narrow).

• Import and run several text documents in InDesign CS3

  I have several files to plain text, where each runs several pages long I want to import into a single document in ID CS3. I want to import them and to make them sink in a framework unique block of text one after the other on several pages. With a single text of several doc page all what I have to do is select the place and hold down the SHIFT key and InDesign adds the necessary pages and run the copy until the end of the doc. However, if I move select the docs and import to try in a text frame by holding down the SHIFT key, it will just flow the first doc in the group without any indication of overset text. I tried to place several docs of text, hold down the shift and command and brings all my docs on the first page, but in the text boxes separated with text in excess for each doc. Is it possible to do this in InDesign or maybe a plugin that can do this?

  Copy and paste everything between the lines of hyphen (excluding dash lines) in a text editor and save it with the extension .js and put it in your scripts folder. Should be something like:

  D:\Program Files\Adobe\InDesign CS3\Adobe InDesign CS3\Scripts\Scripts Panel

  After the alphabetical order of your files and put them in their own folder, copy the path and run the script. It will make a new folder and place all of your files in a continuous narrative. I don't know how it will work with .txt files.

  If you need only cs3 for a 'small' job, use the 30 day trial to finish your work.

  If you need longer than that, you will need to purchase a license of cs3 (which adobe is no longer sold, but can be purchased in a 3rd party).

  There has never been a version FREE of Creative Suite 2. What is displayed on the website of Adobe, it's an activation-free setup and a serial number for CS2 to Adobe CS2 license customers but need to reinstall the software after our CS2 activation servers have been decommissioned. This isn't a software which can legally be installed and used by someone else to Adobe customers who previously CS2 license.

  As others in this thread have advised, there is no way to upgrade reduced CS2, even for CS2 customers paid. CS2 was released, it more than ten years. In general, Adobe had only reduced paths to upgrade to a version or two behind the current. CS2 is eight versions behind the current version of Creative Cloud 2015 of Adobe creative applications.

  Hi all.  I am a Subscriber CC, but also keep InDesign CS3 installed so I can open old PageMaker. Documents p65.  Today, I had to run the Adobe Cleaner application and reinstall all my CC and other apps, but InDesign CS3 will not take my serial number of PageMaker 6.5.  I tried to remove the hyphens and all that, but he does not accept the serial number.  Help?
