  You thought wrong. Suites can only be upgraded to suites. Read the fineprint and contact the sales support on product return policies.

  It must have been the full version that I just talked to Adobe by LiveChat and they very kindly changed serial number to allow me to install the program. I think it has been called an upgrade as it was probably a bit cheaper to take into account the fact that we already have Pagemaker. Excellent customer service from them!

  I just bought the InDesign CS5.5 upgrade to update myself since InDesign CS2 (both for the Mac market and Australian). Installation recognizes my new serial number, but not my previous CS2 serial number should I enter that I don't have InDesign CS2 installed anymore (and won't it won't work in classic mode). What is the solution? Both are legitimate products. Want answers please.

  Manish says. You probably have a wrong upgrade package or your previous serial number requires must be converted to another, work in series. This is sometimes necessary for the OEM versions or edu packages that have been purchased through promotions and have a range of not covered in the standard upgrades special serial numbers...

  I currently have InDesign CS4 Design Premium. I bought and downloaded the InDesign CS5.5 upgrade as I want only to update InDesign and not the whole package of Design Premium, but when I try to activate I tells me I can't. I suspect that this is because the serial number I have for my existing Design Premium package is not recognized as InDesign CS4 only. Can someone please help? Can I make just a part of the Design Premium package, right?

• CS5 Upgrade - guard asking for series

  I'm upgrading to CS3 Design Premium a colleague for an installation of CS5 Design Premium. I bought the upgrade of our Adobe reseller and downloaded CS5. I installed it (put the serial number given on the Web site of licensing for CS5) and this seemed quite happy and kept instlalling for half an hour.

  When he had finished Photoshop cs5, I opened and it is prompting me to say tests 30 days, or enter a serial number, so I get the serial number, once again - he gets a green check mark friendly, cool, no, not cool the same goes up after I accept the terms and conditions. I stupidly think that maybe to do several times because of components in CS5 - I did about 8 times and stll is the same situation!

  So I Googled it and discover Adobe believes I should use the registration number of CS3, I dug on what I am 99% is of course the CS3 serial number and put this-it gives me an orange triangle and telsl me it is invalid. (not a Red Cross).

  Don't know what to do really. If I try to open CS3 to see what is the license key (I think you can see partially?) it says it needs to be reinstalled because of a catastrophic failure.

  Guys any help or advice? -J' have two other CS4 - 5 upgrades to do as well, hoping that they will be a little easier

  So I think I should have corrected it. The problem, seems, was with the original CS3 which was not loading correctly - due to a license error seems.

  I did a blog post which had about 8 different steps to resolve this issue, try them in the order, the only one that worked was rename a database file that seem to trigger to load properly and ask for the serial number. I skipped this and CS3 worked again. Charge of CS5 and entrance to the new series, which seems to have sorted.

  On a side note, ths version and CS4 - CS5 version update colleagues, it seems that updates are disabled? -They are just not grayed out witn no option to run them :/

  OK guys, it's really terrible.  Not only I wish never to store documents in any cloud where I do not hold encryption keys, but all that DC does not work properly.  I had a completely released Acrobat desktop version which now no longer works.  I'm stuck with this DC thing and now it says my trial is up and I have to pay for a subscription, or don't have acrobat more.  It's not cool.  I tried all the stuff you have online on how to activate the software through my CC account, but he asks just a serial number, even if I connect correctly.

  Tarinam96588818 that's right, education serial numbers are not accepted for upgrades.  You have Photoshop CS3 education license registered under your account.  Not accept Photoshop CS5 as a serial number eligible.
