InDesign formatting boxes look horrible when exported in Acrobat

I have a document in InDesign CS6 with a bunch of checkboxes, formatted in the Object Styles Panel. The boxes are pretty normal size 0.23 in.. When I export the document in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, they turn into giant squares. If you click on it, they returned to the aspect that I put in InDesign, but only until I select another field, and then they are bombs again. The only way to solve this problem is to manually resize these boxes in Acrobat - but who completely defeated the purpose of build the form in InDesign.

I tried to find a solution online, but I have not encountered this particular problem.

Someone has encountered this problem before? Is there a solution?

Thank you.

A friend of mine took a peek. It turns out it was the shadow on the box that was causing the problem. I removed the shadow: problem solved.

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] Problem of formatting attribute VO MONEY when exports it as an Excel file using apache.poi

    Hallo,

I have a VO with an attribute based on the field of database of MONEY.

In the configuration of the VO for the attribute I put:

    • In the "Details" tab: Type = BigDecimal
    • In the "Indications of the UI" tab: Format type and Type like the image below

    Immagine.png

These settings allow the value of the attribute (in the table, inputText) appears with thousands and decimal separator that according to my language - Italian - are. (point) and, (comma).

For example. Silver number displayed correctly:

    10.123.000,37

When I write the value of the attribute in an Excel cell using apache.poi...

    cell.setCellValue (attr.toString ());

... I see in the cell...

    10123000.3700

... Although I'd like to see what...

10123000,37 (not thousands separator, the comma as separator decimal and only 2 decimal places)

You could you kindly help me to get there?

Federico, this isn't really a question JDev or ADF. This can be solved by setting the cell format to the cell, you write the number. Like oyu would in excel

  • File InDesign CC freezes at 66% when exporting to IDML (Mac and PC)

    Hello

I use InDesign CC (9.1) and trying to export an .indd to idml document. However, it freezes at 66% and never complete.

FWIW, I deleted chunks of text to see how it done successfully export and have found a point in which it works - after the removal of a large amount of text until you hit in the middle of a Word.

I read that there is a possible memory space problem, but I see the same exact behavior in the Mac and the PC of InDesign CC versions.

Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Before you copy paste, simply use the command move the Pages in the Pages panel. Set up a new file of the same size and reanme the master page to something unused in the original file, as zzzz, then select all the pages in the Panel in the first file and move Pages... Choose FRONT page 1 in the new file so the tram swap you sides and remove the last page which should be the old blank page 1.

  • Optimization for internet, when exporting photos

Hello, I am trying optimize my photos on the internet (Web site, Facebook, etc.).  I tried almost all image format settings, space, color, dimensions, pixels per inch, etc and nothing has helped.  My pictures are excellent quality in Lightroom, but when you export sounds horrible.

    Help, please!

It would be good to reduce the normal sharpness setting in Lightroom?

Yes, I would say that the original is oversharpened before export you it.

Is the original raw or jpg? If jpg, it may have been sharpened in the camera and should probably not be sharp at all, or very little in LR.

Always display the image at 1:1 when you apply sharpening. It should seem strong, but not too strong. (when in doubt, sharpen less)

And use the masking function (hold the Alt key when you adjust it) to ensure that even areas as the skin gets little or no sharpening.

When sharpening inside LR is done correctly, the image will look right when exporting for the web with output sharpening set on screen, Standard.

I created show and hide features in InDesign I want to export to interactive PDF format. These functions work when seen in Acrobat on the desktop, but not on iPad/Tablet - why?

Why? Most likely because the PDF Viewer on the Tablet is too stupid to deal with show/hide functionality.

You could try PDF Expert of Readdle on qpdf Notes Pro on Android and iOS devices.

Depending on how the show/hide was created during the export of InDesign, it can work in viewers. Otherwise, you will need to open PDF files in Acrobat and edit features show/hide something more digests of PDF device viewers.

BTW, you will encounter the same issues with the PDF display components in web browsers.

    I hope this can help.

Two invites on 1 page in Indesign that when exporting to adobe reader in pdf format, I can simply add new names that populate both copies and then be printable. Any help out there is how to make an invitation in Indesign, but now how to make 2 copies on a single page that someone else ie the customer can add their own names. So each field name must complete on both guest. Sounds simple, but is not really there to help. I think he called an interactive pdf. Thanks in advance.

AutoFill is the easiest part, he lies. If both fields have the same name, they will have the same content: type in one and it appears in the other.

  • InDesign CC - hyperlinks broken when exported to PDF (Acrobat) format

    Hi all

I created a PDF from Indesign CC (9.2.1 x 64), but when I have a PDF of the document, a number of hyperlinks (not all) appear broken when opened in Acrobat Pro XI. These hyperlinks direct the browser to the general site (i.e. a "this page cannot be found" page on www.nytimes.com) but not to the specific article that the hyperlink points to. This problem occurs if I use another PDF reader, but unfortunately this PDF file will be sent to a wide audience, which mostly uses Acrobat.

Does anyone know a solution to this problem? I've read up and looks like it was supposed to be resolved in this version of InDesign, but it obviously isn't.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello world

If, by some stroke of luck, I managed to get by myself.

I noticed that as the link was opening Acrobat, the browser was temporarily (for about half a second) adding a %20 at the end of the broken links. After a Google search, I realized that it is because my broken links had a space at the end. While this space normally wouldn't (and don't have any importance when I was manually copying the link from indesign in the browser), Acrobat, seeing the space, he added the %20 and so evil re-routed address (there is a little info about it here Acrobat adding %20 to the pdf in iOS links). Anyway, I went through my paper and remove the space at the end of the any broken links and now everything works perfectly and I sent my document. Problem solved!

Thanks a lot for all your help! I really appreciate it!

  • Lines on images when exporting Indesign to JPEG

    Hey Willi,

Sorry I'm new to this. Here are the answers to your questions and I hope you can give some tips.

    1 OSX 10.9.2

2 indesign CC2014 (I just started to use during the last two weeks)

3 illustrator CS3 (files that have been given to me, have been created to CS6), I made a few changes to fonts that in CS3 before I had CC bought, but I tried one of the files transferred directly into CC instead of CS3 back and he still has the same problem.

    4. the file I linked IS an eps, I always do an eps because with all my files I leave the fonts in the file have and save a second file, the eps where I saw all the fonts to save all of the possible problems of fonts. But you think that I shouldn't do this?

    5. you can see the lines in Indesign only when high-quality screen, they do not seem to remain in the same position, but at 100% and 200%, they are quite noticeable while 600% zoom, they become less bright. These are dotted lines, they appear differently in each different photograph. I'm not export in PDF, a jpeg file because its for on a Web site. If the lines are perceptible in the jpeg format. I just tried a pdf and they are also in the pdf file. We did not think that what was happening only to images, but in a single file where there is a shadow on the text, he did boxing odd sam-lines around the text.

6.I exports the JPEG from Indesign CC

    7. I open the jpeg in Photoshop.

9 seem to stay the same size. You don't see them at all in illustrator eps files.

    10. I can't talk about it. How would know that? Where is that located setting? Thank you

    11. I don't know how to look for color mode - modes are that indesign CC is in CMYK mode. Illustrator CMYK. But when I export as a jpeg I change into RGB in the export process. How can I find the color space? I'm not very technical minded. I'm sorry. That's why I freak out when I get questions like this. I thank very you much for trying to help me.

  • InDesign - How can I change PDF export options when PACKING

Hey everyone, I have an InDesign issue that was so irritating, but I don't know that I can describe it adequately.

I'll try, I hope that makes sense, and it would be great if someone could help me.

When you package an InDesign document a PDF is generated automatically.

I can't figure out where to change the parameters of this PDF file that is created.

For example: when packing, I would choose between pages vs spreads, or change settings of guides and funds lost for the PDF that will be created.

The packaging process seems to just go with all this last use.

So a solution that seems to do the trick is to go: file / export... to change the settings later dialog and then actually export the PDF file.

When you return to package your file, the conditioning process then creates another PDF using settings you chose when exporting one.

It's cool, I guess, it works, but this seems to be a waste of time.

Is there a setting somewhere that you can change before you compress the file WITHOUT exporting a dummy PDF?

    Thanks for reading!

    -Scott

Go to file > Adobe PDF presets > define

In the Adobe PDF presets, click New

Here, in the new preset dialog box, you can give a marks and bleeds and your desirable set up, and then click OK and fact

Now go to file new and choose Package

Package dialog box appears, click the button of the packages

In the package publication dialog box, now you can choose the predefined PDF that you have created and click the packages

    Enjoy!

    Thank you

  • InDesign CS4 works every time when you export to PDF

I have CS4 for several years with absolutely no problem. I create the occasional newsletter - lengths ranging from 3 to 12 pages. I created one in September without problem. Last month, when exporting to PDF, I kept getting a message "Adobe InDesign CS4 has stopped working." and something about Windows 7 looking for a solution (which of course didn't). My only modification in Adobe between when it worked and where he didn't was 1) I upgraded to Adobe PS and LR CC.  (2) I also did an upgrade to Adobe Acrobat (I think she was using now... sort of a core component to acrobat.com saw a message indicating an update was available and did not know he would start using some cloud services).

-temporarily work around the problem of the last month, I sent my InDesign document (small - page 3) and images to a friend who created the PDF file for me with no problems.

Now, I'm working on another ballot (which does exactly the same way) so seriously try to correct the problem. I took my search suggestions and forum-based measures:

    -J' uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign

-I got rid of the implementation level Acrobat and uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat 9 of my suite CS4

-J' deleted my preferences files so that they would be replaced by the default system (by a suggestion of the forum)

-J' tried to export a page at a time to see if there is a problem with a specific element on a page - nothing exported successfully, not one page in my 12 page document

-To meet my deadline of my last newsletter (12 page), I decided to package it for someone else to export to PDF. The package failed with the error message

-J' read that there are sometimes mistakes with lack of enough temporary storage to create PDF files. The AdobeTemp file is located on a drive with several GB of free space. However, since the package have also failed, I wonder if the problem is in this area.

Would appreciate any assistance to resolve it. I just don't know what else to try. Thank you

It isn't a certainty with Windows error reports, but it seems to be of type text/partner, and a secondary-pair or damaged police could be the problem. Fonts free fonts sites are often below standards.

I'll sign off the coast for today.

  • Only black color on the linked indesign files conversion 4 black color process when exporting to PDF?

I have a paged presentation that contains multiple indesign files linked. They have two colors: black to 100% and a spot color. If I export the files related, using the same PDF preset, the colors are kept, but when exporting from layout with them tied it converts black in 4 colors. I checked the separations on the layout file but they are all very good. It's just a bug or am I doing something stupid?

What happens when you color manage CMYK to another space CMYK, try using PDF X / 1 setting first and make sure that preserve numbers is set for the release, let us know how it goes.

It might have to do with an image that I created in InDesign and exported an earnings per share, then created a PNG out of it. I hope that's it, it's, it's scare me... Thanks for the ideas.

Why my Muse formatting does not disappear when I open the site in DW CS6? I need to change the PayPal shopping cart code to account for my shipping options. I exported the Muse test in a folder and then created a new Site in DW with the help of this file, so all CSS should be there, but I don't see on the page about the elements without formatting, any stop to the left. Thank you!

PS: Muse will be the most impressive program ever when they fix these bugs or drop because not every user will be paying through the nose for Business Catalyst. Grrrrrrrrr.

Best approach would be not to use the PayPal widget and instead copy and paste the PayPal code embedded in an object > object to insert the HTML in Muse. This way you can edit the HTML code to embed PayPal code from Muse and without having to modify the exported code.
