• need help! How to open a folder via web browser

  Hi all LV'ers.

  as indicated in the subject, I try to find a way to display the shared folder w / in the network of the company via web browser. is this possible? is there an easier way? I never been used FTP vi before any other vi or to deal with this situation, but I tool of web publishing successfully used to access from the front before LV remotely using "web publishing tool. BTW, im using LV 8.5.1.

  My goal for this is to let our boss to have quick access to data from excel files (w / "s" because many excellent report file is generated daily data updates) lay in the remote computer (this computer runs the LV program and we can view its façade remotely via web publishing tool (, but I also need to consult the file on this computer that contains the files). That's why im finding a way to access a specific excel file, but a specific folder. of course, we can access the folder through "my network places > entire network > microsoft windows network" If the folder is shared, but our boss is a lot easier if we LV programmers can create a button to lead automatically to the folder containing the files they need.

  I hope that someone already dealing with that can shared their solutions.

  problem solved...

  just to share with others who may encounter the same problem. the conflict is when opening a file from the remote computer (Chinese OS) w / Chinese characters in its file name with the computer that cannot recognize a Chinese police (English OS). I tried my VI (joint in the 5th msg) into the computer using the Chinese version of the OS (w / installed in LV) and it can open the Excel in remote areas with success.

  So I can change the OS version of the remote computer in English version to avoid conflicts in the future... in any case, here is the picture of the conflict. the attached VI before is OK...

  Step 1: Use disable automatic restart on system failure option and check if you can find any error message. Previous post the error message complete and accurate which could help us help you better.

  Steps to select Disable automatic restart on system failure option:

  1. reboot the computer
  2 start typing the F8 key

  Hello. I worked hard to make 8 usable and more like Win 7. I have disabled the lock screen, bought Stardock Start8 software so I can use my PC, turned off all hot corners and charming bars, or whatever they are called. I removed almost all of the pre-installed apps and app Store of Windows.

  I'm trying to figure out how to make Google Chrome open when clicking on an e-mail link? Or at least make Windows Mail using my gmail account. I have an Outlook account but I did not intend to actually use it (I use gmail for years and do not intend ever to switch).

  OK, the DNS problem is that lexydesign.com is not solving anything.

  www.lexydesign.com resolves to IP

  But lexydesign.com needs to forward/redirect to www.lexydesign.com.

  I simply added a names for lexydesign.com and lexydesign.ca to redirect to the home page.

  It's a rookie probably something you guys do by default when you browse setup in British Colombia.

  What I find weird is that it worked in IE, safari and Firefox.

• Recently, when I open a Google Doc spreadsheet (that I created), I can see the data but cannot type any changes.

  Firefox is my main browser. I have often to create and share spreadsheets Google Doc. All of a sudden, when I run one of my Google Docs, I can see the data but cannot make changes. Even an attempt to click a cell and type something (or change a format) receives no response.

  I tried to use Safari and IE, and the problem is is NOT manifested in these browsers.

  Wow! Starting Firefox in SafeMode circumvented the problem. I was able to edit the worksheet.

  I think it's some kind of problem to refresh screen for Thunderbird window. I have no flicker except windows Thunderbird is exposed, the problem disappears when Thunderbird is closed.

After having made a clean OS reinstall and switch to Chrome, I again met the problem today. I wonder if it could be a hardware problem or software someway...  Please help me solve the problem.
