Initialization of 34970A reproduction

I'm trying to reproduce the Figure. http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4644 3

My problem:

After you create the Cluster of Serial Port (Timeout, baud rate, flow control) and try to connect it to the connection on the HP34970 initialize block I get a message that says: 'you have two or more types of enumeration data.
wired together, but the enumerations are different. The list of questions
enumerations must be exactly the same. »

I think my problem is with the enumeration of the input stream control, a last of the Configuration of the Port cluster series in Fig. 3.  I double checked all the entries in the cluster properties and has compared to the example, they match.  But did not work.  However when I dragged the stream of the example input control and it fell in my cluster, the connection has been made without errors.  I don't understand what the difference between the input stream control example and my control of input stream is.

What I am doing wrong?

or maybe an easier question, step by step, what is the correct method to create the control Cluster series?

As you did not post your code, it is impossible to say exactly what could be the difference. Of course, you have created a different enum.

To create the cluster, the easiest method is to simply right click on the entry of the VI and select 'create a control '. You would have automatically created a cluster of correct type.

  • Initialization with 34970A on GPIB problems

I have a built in LabVIEW 7.1 that takes data from a pair of 34970A executable and 34401, using comms NOR-488.  I have no problem at all to get data. My problem - an intermittent one - occurs during the initialization of the 34970A.  The problem has persisted for a few years.  I use 3.1 NI-VISA.

The problem is that the 34970A puts in error during initialization, with an error-113 (undefined header).  When single-browsing the Initialize.vi HP34970A I can see that the error occurs as soon as the * IDN? request is sent to the 34970A via the function Write VISA.

I tried many things: 1. concatenated in a line of constant power to the * IDN? query.  2 tried a 34970 driver later.  3 replace the 34970 A.  4. replace the cable release between 34970 and 34401 (although, as far as I can see, it is unimportant).  The only solution I found is to reset the 34970A.  Sometimes, it works.  In the attached picture you can see where the * IDN? request is sent to the instrument.

    Johnboy:

I think the problem is with the command sent before this one.  Maybe something flying in the transmission of the buffer that the * IDN? query command gets added, causing the equipment to get confused.  Time out NI SPY max to check what is happening.

  • Disk utility to initialize disk 4TB TB 1.8

I bought a new 4 to hard drive (no SSD or Fusion), I put in a box external firewire (replaced the 1 TB drive in my Maxtor OneTouch III).  I powered up the Maxtor, disk not recognized (obviously), and OSX wonder to initialize the disc and sent it to me in disk utility.

Problem is the only utility disk only sees it as a hard drive on '1.8 to' before the entry into force.  Therefore, any initialization, put in shape or partitioning happen in 1.8 TB.

I'd like to partition the drive into partitions 4 x 1 TB.  Is it possible to do this?  What is a limitation with the box of Maxtor?  What I have to remove the disk and partition first in a dock HARD drive then back to Maxtor, where limiting with El Capitan or disk utility itself?

I'm happy to dive into the terminal, if necessary.

    List of $ diskutil

    / dev/disk5 (external, physical):

    #: NAME SIZE TYPE IDENTIFIER

    0: GUID_partition_scheme * 1.8 to disk5

    1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk5s1

    2: Apple_HFS 1.8 Untitled TB disk5s2

    Thanks for any help.

If it finds that the disc is less than 2.2 to in an external enclosure, the envelope is too old, or has failed.

Macs have supported the drive well beyond this size since 10.4.4.

  • / System/Library of the El Capitan initialization process

    Hello

When I list all processes that are running on my mac os session, it shows me tons and tons of process/System/Library, associated with "Image Capture", "AOSKit", etc. Is this normal? I did not remember to initialize?

I only Chrome, BetterTouch, promotion, F.lux and Terminal programs open and my consumption of memory is almost 4 GB!

Where do I can disable these processes to automatically initialize or are they part of the execution of the El Capitan?

    Thanks in advance,

    Guilherme

You don't have to initialize a process to make it appear. The operating system initializes dozens of processes related to the computer running and providing all the necessary services.

Consumption memory is not directly related to how much apps that you launch. The reserve system of large chunks of memory to improve performance and have the available memory as needed. OS X will try to predict what future memory needs will be.

Do not attempt to disable any process, if you don't know what they are for, or if they are needed. It's a sure way to crash the operating system. What you see in the activity monitor, is to help developers, technicians and others to know what works and if it's causing a problem.

Simple rules: if it works then leave it alone; and, if you don't know what's going to happen and how to fix it, then let it be. If you want to learn more about these different processes, then try searching with Google for this information. However, if you are not a programmer you will find difficult to understand information.

  • Slow to initialize at startup Ethernet

Lately, at the start, my mac connects to the network. It is wired for good than ethernet, but for some reason it takes a long time for the internet initialize; Sometimes the minutes. No problems one after the connection is established and AHT has not revealed internal hardware problems. Below are the specs for my machine. I use a modem arris and an Airport Extreme. Don't know if the problem is in the router and do not know how to test that. The delay seems to increase over time. Advice?

Network Utility.app (included on your Mac) can show you the speed and meter real connection to any network connection error.

If this is not present in

    / Applications/utilities

    It is located in:

    / System/Library/CoreServices/Applications

Your connection should be at the expected speed and there should be no more than a handful of initial errors and no reason continues to errors.

  • get the message "could not initialize the browser security component" offers solutions does not

I get a message "could not initialize the browser security component" more a screen empty. 5 solutions offered in aid, only to create a new profile help, but this helps only for this session! So, I'll have to create a new profile each time I start Firefox. This means not favourites, without Add-ons (they require a reboot), etc. I even tried to delete the profile by default, but it does not help. The new profile is deleted whenever I start. What should I do?

I've done this several times. The new profile would work for a single session. Each time, Firefox (or something) would remove the new profile, so he did not; I'm done with the default profile, which was obviously altered. Here's what finally worked. Of after your 1st answer, I saw that the other profiles exist as subfolders in the profiles folder, even if they were not listed when I did firefox.exe - p. So, I got the idea to uninstall Firefox and see if these files were still there. And they were! In fact, records of Mozilla, Firefox and profiles had not deleted with uninstall. I deleted the files, re-installed and now I'm fine and write for Firefox. So, if someone continues to have problems with a corrupted profile, suggest to uninstall and then deleting all records related to Firefox that are left behind.

  • Satellite Pro P70 - Has: 2nd invisible HARD drive - how to initialize the 2nd HARD drive

    I have a P70 - A. Satellite Pro
'Primary' hard disk failed, and has been replaced by the service centre.

Now, only the main hard drive is shown and the Service Center said that I had to 'initialize' the second hard drive to make it visible. They assure me that the hard drive is there, just hidden.

    How can I make visible?
    How do I initialize it?

Usually, you can initialize the disk by DiskManagement.

In disk management, right-click the disk you want to initialize and then click on initialize disk.
In the dialog box initialize the disk, select the disk to initialize.
You can choose to use the master boot record (MBR) or the style of partition GUID partition table (GPT).

Once a disk is initialized, you can create partitions on it.
After you create a partition, you can format the partition to create a filesystem (NTFS).
