  Hi all

  I played around the Adobe DPS read API (Adobe DPS - reading SDK 2.30: class Index: JsDoc reference).

  What I try to achieve is to create an overlay WebContent Folio HTML to display the current article and the current page in a folio.

  I based my example in the tutorial on the use of the api reading (new APIs and features r30, including folio, metadata section and events calendar navigation |) Developer of Adobe Connect...)

  So what I have published a single folio with the following structure:

  Section 1, page 1

  Article 2, 2 Pages

  Article 3, Pages 3

  The HTML / WebContent Folio overlays, however, display the incorrect content.

  I'm loading HTML locally.

  So if I'm loading the folio on my iPap on Adobe Content Viewer when I opened the publication I get code HTML / overlays WebContent Folio, which displays THIS:

  Article 1: currentArticleIndexInFolio: 0, PageCount: 1 (-this is the first article)

  Article 2: currentArticleIndexInFolio: 0, PageCount: 1 (-where I drag from left moving to the following artivle)

  Article 3: currentArticleIndexInFolio: 1, PageCount: 2 (-where I drag from left moving to the following artivle)

  There seems to be a caching or persistence that I wasn't able to track down.

  I use all of the recommendations of the API to use, in order to way for the api to the property in service.

  adobeDPS.folioDataService.reasyState.addOnce)

  Any ideas would be very useful...

  Found the solution...

  the FolioOverlay had a 'AutoPlay' specified as 0 seconds.

  If I change this value to 1 second indexes are displayed correctly.

  I suppose it could be a bug in the api somewhere, since I'm already calling methods to verify that the folioDataService is ready to be used.

  (Company) If you wish to continue using an older store that you created, you can select use Legacy store API in DPS App Builder. However, if you select this option, you cannot specify a custom library.

• Custom toolbar library/store DPS

  Hello.

  In the section "Navigation Toolbar" from the Builder App DPS, I see an option to hide the navigation toolbar, but then I can't have custom library/windows...

  Is there a way to hide the toolbar of navigation (bottom) at the launch of a library custom / store?

  I know that I can return to the application library by default via DPS JS API (adobeDPS.configurationService.gotoState ("library")), if a way to hide the toolbar would be great...

  There is a way, it's really really stupid UI.

  1. enable the custom toolbar

  2 customize the Library button to have your store/library custom HTML

  3 disable the custom toolbar

  When you build your application we will actually remember the settings of the custom library and use them even if the toolbar is disabled. Whoever designed it this way is a fool...

• Payment through custom authentication not based on a scheme simple name of user and password

  We are looking at Adobe DPS to publish our digital magazines.  Like many other publishing companies, we also have existing customers 'print '.

  In the new DPS (2015), the only way that a user can connect is via the dialog box native SignIn using the credentials of the user/password. Details: The native connection method will result in a call to the serviceAuthURL specified parameters of the Integrator for Direct payment. DPS will make an Http POST request to the URL SignInWithCredentials passing the username and password. DPS expects an authentication token to be returned to the viewer stores in native mode. This authentication token is what identifies the user for direct payment calls

  In the earlier version of DPS (classic), connection differs in two ways:

  1. DPS allows HTML to open a speed of connection of the freeform and similarly out of the application to get an authentication token
  2. DPS had a SDK API library whose application could explicitly define an authentication token after the opening of the flow of custom connection

  There is no equivalent for classical DPS SDK API in 2015 of DPS at this time. Although we plan in the future for additional capacity of connecting OAuth/Social.

• Allow access to the right Information

  We have a business account and we created a folio with overlay Web Content when the option "Allow access to right Information" has been selected. The HTML code provided has a custom JavaScript API based on the Adobe DPS - library and store SDK 2.29.

  We have an iPad with direct payment application, which also uses the Adobe DPS - library and store SDK. When I connect to this application, I can download folios.

  If I open the folio I can't access right information through the library and SDK store in the Web content overlay.

  For example, the adobeDPS.version variable returns the correct version of the LibraryAPI Interface, which means that the API has already been initialized, but the adobeDPS - AuthenticationService.isUserAuthenticated variable is still false, if the variable adobeDPS.deviceService.isOnline.

  • adobeDPS.version is 1.3
  • adobeDPS.deviceService.deviceId has the value null
  • adobeDPS.deviceService.deviceName has the value null

  You must use the read API, http://www.adobe.com/go/dps-reading-api, leave in a folio. AuthenticationService unfortunately isn't available from the read API. You can test again with the read API?

• Is this possible in Captivate 3?...

  I have Macromedia Captivate 1.0, and it does not have what it takes. I was wondering if upgrading to Captivate 3 would solve the problem. Here's what I would do...
  
  I need to have a screen of 'menu' which would have, say, three "tasks" to complete. The user would choose a 'task' and while they could watch a demo on this subject, or they could try in "test mode". If they pass it in "test" mode (by clicking in all the correct places), then Captivate will somehow it tick (or put a check mark next to it) or something on the main menu with the three tasks. Once all three tasks have been "marked" in Test Mode, then Captivate will pass a variable 'complete' the LMS via SCORM compliance...
  
  Is this possible with the last Captivate? Or other tools would be needed to achieve this? If Captivate 3 alone can handle this, it is a relatively painless process? Thank you!!!
  

  As long as initialize you the SCORM API and the report by using the correct calls, I think not that SCORM care about what was going on within the SCO, once it is launched.

  If you are not interested in the follow-up to the notes of the user and I just want simple, at least you should try scoring mechanism internal to debone Captivate. This assumes that you have correctly configured the LMS to only expect a notification of the completion of each SCO.

  The only way to add custom in Captivate features is to insert as a standalone Flash movie, so you can easily insert a Flash movie on the last slide that will solve your global flag 'complete' for the checkmarks. Identifying uniquely each file to know what box to show could be a stumbling block, but a global variable in your menu would probably take care of that.

  By the way the finished flag back to the LMS seems to be the hardest part. Either you have to build your own full SCORM wrapper or patch in which Captivate provides when you publish on SCORM.

  If you choose to piggyback on the feature of Captivate, pore through Captivate scorm_support.js file and I hope to be able to determine Javascript variables/functions to change.

  In A2, the file is located in:

  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 2\Templates\Publish\SCORM_support\scorm_support.js

  I've been playing with the gesture of new API for items in html for the last days, and I was wondering if there is a way to lock the screen vertically. Even when calling disableNavigation(), the screen bouncing off slippery up - down (I'm incorporating striking up-down on any fly using hammer.js). Would be really useful for the implementation of some of the custom animations. Is there a way to get this behavior?

  Neil, I tried to rebuild the app (Yes, that's iOS) and in fact, there is no more bounce when disableNavigation is enabled. Not sure where the problem was. Marking as resolved.

• Veristand Simulink model initialization

  VeriStand 2013 has now the ability to initialize the settings of the Simulink model (reference: signals and initial Conditions in a Simulink model mapping).

  The question is: is it possible via API in LabVIEW calls?  I would like the user to be able to select the name of the initialization file in my host code.

  I have a temporary workaround to have the file name selected by the user copied to a temporary location / name defined in VeriStand System Explorer, but it is certainly not an elegant solution.

  Currently, the only way to change the parameter values by default for a system definition is:

  1. update the system definition to point to a different file.

  2. switch to update the contents of the file that is already stated in the system definition.

  #2 looks like the simpler approach recommended for your use case.

  One thing that might make your solution a little easier would be to use the index function in the template parameter initialization file. What you can do is the following:

  1. (optional) create. that various pattern files of calibration in advance you want to test. Name them sub1.txt, sub2.txt, etc. (or name them as you wish).

  2 configure your system definition to point to a calibration of empty template file named Main.txt.

  3. prior to deploying your system definition, change the main.txt file to add the following line (assuming that commas here because it's hard to type tabs in a web browser):

  Subscript,c:\whatever\sub1.txt

  You can also have multiple index files if you want to mix and match. Simply add extra lines.

  The advantages of this approach are:

  (a) you can easily use the pre-established model calibration files.

  (b) you don't have to copy the files autour

  (c) the write file you need to do before you deploy is very very simple.
