input out of range with HDMI to VGA LE1901w

Hello!

Recently, I acquired a LE1901w monitor as a second screen. I'm trying to connect it to my Toshiba u925 using adapters HDMI / VGA (because neither the monitor has an HDMI port, or the laptop has a VGA output).

I get the message "input out of range signal" requesting a change to 1440 x 920 @ 60 Hz and continues to display until the monitor going to sleep even when I change the settings according to demand.

I have an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 and I use the default Windows for Windows 8.1 monitor drivers

Any comments will be useful

Thank you

Hello @fbinim,

I understand that you get the message "Input Signal Out Of Range" and it asks you to change at 1440 x 920 @ 60 Hz. I suspect it's a driver problem and you need to make sure that your drivers are up to date on your computer. Just to be safe, I recommend if you could to move the HP LE1901W monitor to another computer and make sure you do not have the problem. If you have it on a different computer the problem you are experiencing seems to be a physical problem. Please contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html.

I want to thank you for display on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

    Hello

You try to connect to laptop (HDMI) to TV (VGA) using an HDMI cable to VGA?
As far as I know this is possible only if the s for computer laptop HDMI port can be set to analog signal. As much as I know this option is not available in the BIOS or elsewhere.
So if you want to connect VGA HDMI Digital common so I have to say; It won't work buddy.

You will need something like HDMI to VGA Converter that converts the digital signal into analog signal.

  • HP W2207h: Input out of range Signal - course game

Hi, thanks for your response, but I was able to understand the problem with my video card:

I haven't had that one connection port available in my motherboard for my graphics card which was not in fact very close to the motherboard itself, but indirect through my hard drive connection, this means that whenever my computer would be launching a program of high quality like video games, video card would try and use too much power to the connection of the cable and it would not be provided.

I simply made a direct connection between the adapter to the motherboard and put in place an indirect for the HDD connection, this means that the video card would get all of the power required whenever it was necessary and the connection solved alone!

(set up in this order: activate optimus, install intel hd, install nvidia)

Make sure that the drivers are properly installed. Download driver intel hd dells site driver nvidia and the nvidia site.

  • monitor 21.5 Dell ST2220L - no serial number, with random outages with HDMI or VGA cables

The title pretty much everything said.  Monitor was a Christmas gift bought at Staples, which has a wonderfully short 14 days return policy.  I'm supposed to work with Dell, whose Web site detects that I should just enter the serial number of the device as my service tag (there is no service on this device label).  But I can't talk to someone on the phone or via chat because I don't have a valid serial number to enter.  Please help, someone from Dell that monitors these forums!  This monitor must be returned for warranty repair and I can't reach you otherwise.  Very frustrated right now!

    Avisr, ohaider

Only 27 "and 30" monitors received a service number. All other monitors would use the Dell order number to organize an exchange of monitor if still under warranty. But based on the other thread, this is seems to be a problem of driver rather than a hardware problem.

Roll back to the older drivers of 2 440 L seems to help. Avisr, what operating system, you are running with this u2410?

These monitors have DVI connections. It is connected with Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter, and the other with HDMI to DVI adapter (provided with the Mac Mini).

After research, I tried to start safe mode, but the problem persists.

I read that put the computer to sleep and then wake up could solve this problem... it worked a

I tried to reset several times VRAM/LANDAU and SMC.

I doubled checked all the connections.

Under the system of preferences > display (when the image is stable long enough for me to see) everything looks OK. Under the screen of the 'Default display' tab is selected. On the color tab, there are three HP2071d listed (with a selected) in the window display profiles. I've linked by selecting one of the other "HP2071d" listed without noticeable change.

I also reset both monitors to factory settings via the menu screen of the monitors.

I also came across this mini Mac EFI Firmware Update 1.7 for flickering on end of 2012 Mac Minis, but when I tried to run I got "this software don't is not supported on your system. Ugh. It turns out that my Mac Mini is already updated to MM61.0106.B0A (2015-002)

Both monitors isn't good. Which would lead us to think that the Intel HD 4000 is overheating and the problem is not with any of the adapters or cables. Although, if one of the cards was not internally, it could put additional heat stress on the graphics chip.

Personally, I will try a few things.

    1. turn off, unplug everything, open the bottom cover and give it a good cleaning to make sure it cools properly.

    https://www.iFixit.com/device/Mac_Mini_Late_2012

    2. try each monitor individually for awhile configurations see if the problem follows the monitor cable adapter installation.

(I know he'll be a brake after obtaining used monitors to double)

    3. try using > MacFanControl to monitor and help control the temperature of the GPU ITPP.

FWIW, I do not use screensavers, but I do a lot of videos as well as some games of light on both my 2010 and 2012 of the Mini and I really believe that MacFanControl has really helped to extend the life of graphics on these two systems.

  • HP 2509 b monitor guard displaying "Input Signal Out of Range" and then go to sleep.

I went on vacation and shutdown my computer for 2 weeks.  My monitor worked great for a month before.  I came home last night and turned on my system this morning.  Now I get a white message in the middle of the screen with "input out of range Signal. Change the settings for 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz"and then the screen goes to sleep.  I can turn the monitor off, wait a moment and then turn it back on again, but continues to repeat the same thing.  I checked and the screen is already set to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz.  I use VGA and have the default positioned like this.  I followed the guide to troubleshooting online for this error, but it did not help.  Can someone tell me please how to fix this?

Finally, I got this figured out!  Here's what I did.

    Control Panel

    Display

    Parameters

    Advanced

    Intel(r) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver

    Graphics properties

    Display settings

    Expansion of the display

Chosen at this stage full screen (no border) instead of "maintain proportions"

As soon as I put this the error screen disappeared!  Can someone explain to me why this adjustment has been around?  I would like to know.

  • Laptop with HDMI output to a monitor with VGA input?

I have a pretty new 2011-Dell XPS laptop I want to hang on to my quite old-2005-Dell VGA monitor. I bought a cable that connects them together, but my laptop does not recognize my monitor. Anyone know if a decoder is necessary/useful or if I should give up? Thank you very much.

HDMI is digital while VGA is analog. So you will need a converter "active." Something like this:
Conversions technology HDMI to VGA with R/L Audio Converter converter

You're better off just spending only $121. 03 + $78,96 on a new Dell S2240L which has a HDMI port.

  • Error, input signal is out of range on installing Windows 7

Hello again, I install Windows 7 on my computer of mothers, but when installing, restart the computer, the screen does not work it says input signal out of range can be dis is because the video card is not a driver, we have a disk with driver say but. Help thanks for all this

I want to thank you to you all. I solved the problem, I just connect the PC to the TV via a cable VGA windows starts normally and I go to control panel and then to the system and security, then the administrator tools, then the configuration system. When the system configuration window opens I go to the page "boot" and click on "basic video" and then apply the settings and then click on "ok" and I restart the computer. When the computer restarts I unplug the TV and plugged VGA on the monitor cable. I expect windows to load and load successfully when all was fine with the monitor. I change the screen resolution to the highest that my monitor supports. And now everything is fine. Thank you.

  • clean install of windows XP to input signal out of range

Hi I recently took my old pc xp out of the dusty closet.
I discovered that the operating system has been corrupted then decided to do a clean install of windows xp.
However after that it says press any key to boot from the disk and I press a button, then it went to a screen blank and says on the monitor says "Input Signal out of range at 1280 x 1024 60hrz. change."
I also did a reset factory monitor and hooked up the old pc to the tv.
So I would like to know how to solve the problem, any help would be much appreciated.

    Hello

First you using a discrete graphics card or graphics are integrated with the motherboard? Change BIOS battery (or whatever it is in the BIOS change to any method) will not change anything to do with a graphics card discrete and not likley to do much for either integrated graphics card.

What it sounds like to me, is that the key to the race to start from the CD is not recognized and that Windows is actually booting from the hard drive with a resolution taken not supported by your monitor. But, being not there, I can't be sure of this so here are some ideas of diagnostic.

Start the PC without the CD inserted, do you have the same problem?

    The keyboard is correctly connected?

If a PS/2 keyboard is it plugged into the outlet of PS/2 mouse by mistake (keyboard taken are normally purple, green mouse normally Sockets)?

Is the keyboard PS/2 or USB? You can try another keyboard ideally with the other type of interface?

You can get in the setup of the BIOS by the appropriate key combination (usually F2 or DEL but I saw others also, look for the message at startup upwards)? If you can not it would indicate a keyboard problem.

If you can remove the keyboard as a problem, I would return to my original question on a discrete graphics card. If there is a discreet graphics card, the motherboard is also a graphic? If this is the case, remove the discrete card and try windows set up again. Or even try installing windows with a spare graphics card if you can get your hands on one. Turn off the computer and unplug it from the socket before to remove/replace all internal components.

Finally, what of the installation CD? Is this the one supplied with the PC? It is the recovery of the real manufacturer CD or CD from Microsoft genuine?

  • Problems of range with DVI to HDMI Windows 7 64 bit

I have a problem that becomes really annoying due to the fact after searching the Internet for two days, I found many people with the problem, but no solution.

    Here's what I have:
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    NVIDIA 450 graphics card
    Westinghouse 26 "L2610NW
I used this system for about 6 months with a dvi connector vga for monitor without any problem whatsoever. A month ago I bought a blueray player so I could watch DVD blueray on my HDTV. Finally got the software that I needed to show the blueray discs and when I loaded one up the program told me I need pass port dvi or hdmi to my graphics card I monitor to view these movies protected against copying.
I got out my dvi to hdmi cord supplied with the monitor and who has worked on an old system of Vista of mine and plugged. When I rebooted my system the only thing I get on my monitor is an error output. I know what means an error output, and I don't understand why windows trying to push my monitor beyond what it is set to go.
I have my video card and windows set to operate at 60 Hz, which is pretty much my only option other than 59 hz. I tried both and always out of the error no matter what.
I have the latest Nvidia drivers for my video card and called Westinghouse and they claim that it is a problem with Windows.
What gives? I spent a lot of money to watch the bluerays on my PC, and while my system seems to work great, I really need to solve this problem. At this point, I'm willing to sell the thing whole dang and start over with pieces of work verified even if they are smaller than what I'm running now.

I ended up buying a new monitor and now everything is working properly, and so I have to assume that the problem was in the monitor and probably not windows itself.

The monitor I bought had no cable so I use cables I used on the old monitor and everything works fine. I can even watch commercial blurays on this system now.

  • Satellite A300-1OM - no sound on TV with HDMI

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 1OM and also a HD in Toshiba TV with HDMI input ports.

I recently bought a HDMI cable to HDMI and attached the laptop to the tv and turned the TV to HDMI channel, and the cell phone confirmed making the sound "new device attached".

However, when I try to use the Fn + F5 and output to the tv, nothing happens. When I choose to use the TV as an external monitor to the tv shows the external display, but only covers the center of the TV, just a little larger than my screen laptop, instead of the full screen, as I had hoped. The sound also remained on the laptop instead of my tv speakers.

Then I tried the "HDMI output" software that came with the laptop computer, and only got the message "it is only effective when the PC is connected to a TV set that supports HDMI control via the HDMI cable.

Finally, I tried the graphics options to click with the right button on the desktop and choosing to watch out, and then using the graphic properties that I managed to increase the resolution on TV, until he was almost the entire screen, but not entirely and again the sound only came out of the laptop.

I'm hoping to be able to watch video files from my laptop HD, but it seems that the video output on my TV is always one notebook quality rather than the HD as I had hoped... I tried to watch "Lost.S05E11.720p.HDTV.x 264 - CTU.mkv" once I have wouldn't finally gone out my laptop to HD TV to a nearly full screen size, but does not recognize the difference between the video on TV and laptop.

Can anyone help? I have read several other similar posts, I checked the BIOS and is enabled in the HDMI display section, but still could not resolve my problem.

    Thank you!

    Hello

    > I hope to be able to watch my laptop HD video files, but it seems that the video output on my TV is always only quality rather than HD specification
    > does not recognize the difference between the video on TV and laptop.

Do you know what that means HD quality?
HD TV supports a maximum resolution of 1280 × 720 px and full HD means that the TV would be able to show HD movies using the resolution of 1920 × 1080.
    A simple old TV supports a resolution of 768 x 576.

Each screen of the laptop is able to show HD videos in HD quality because the screen supports the same or greater resolution!
So you will not notice any difference on laptop or HD TV HD quality video game!

In addition the sound does not come through the speakers of the TV because you didn t, choose the HDMI port as the default audio output (device).

Check this step by step instruction:
    Click Start
    Parameters
    Control Panel
    Material and audio
    Audio/digital output device (HDMI)
    Click the set as default
