  • Connect the second VGA monitor to Pavilion HPE

    Hello

I have a Pavilion HPE h8-1114 PC, that has a DVI and HDMI monitor port. I have a VGA monitor connected to the DVI port with an adapter. I have a second VGA monitor, I want to connect, but I understand that it cannot be connected to the HDMI port. Are there other options besides buying a HDMI monitor? Can I use one of the covered ports which I think is VGA? (I guess not.) Can I add a second graphics card with a VGA port and use both screens? (I saw on another post that adding another graphics card could disable the existing card). Can I opt for a card that supports two VGA or DVI ports?

    Thank you!

In addition what erico said, there are other options. You can use a video-to-USB adapter of EVGA UV plus + 19 or you can add a x 1 PCIe graphics card. If with a PCIe x 1, using a card Nvidia... results will be the best in this way.

  • Connect DVP8 to VGA monitor

    Hi people,

I know there is a lot of info out there, but most does not apply to my situation.

Is it possible to connect my compressed DVP8 wire to my VGA monitor?

If so, can you please tell me what I need to buy to do this and how I would make the connection to make it work. Sound is not important.

    Thank you!

Plug a microUSB adapter and then the DVP8 connect to the displaylink adapter. Download the displaylink drivers and the monitor then plug the displaylink adapter. If you want to load the DVP8 when you are connected to the monitor get the dongle from dell.

  • HP Pavilion HPE h8-1032 desktop PC NEW... try to connect my w/VGA monitor

and it's not like the previous post, it IS a VGA port, but it is covered and says "do not remove". So we released the cover and the connected monitor, but it does not work. (I know I know it says DO NOT DELETE ) What is the problem? Do I have to just buy a converter plug? Why the VGA doesn't work?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

The case is that the VGA port is disabled by the bios when there's a video card is installed. It's one or the other but not both.  Ports are covered by HP to avoid confusion, where the label DO NOT REMOVE.

If you have the Radeon HD 6670 then to connect a VGA monitor you will need to use an adapter DVI to VGA.  Review the information under graphic Video.

I don't know what monitor you use but if you have a HDMI or DVI connection on the monitor, then use the appropriate digital cable.

  • Help with HDMI port not working not not Vixia HF M30

I have a Canon Vixia HF M30 camcorder I'm currently streams video via HDMI port but nothing appears.  I hooked the HDMI cable to an HDMI TV and a computer with a HDMI connection and no video is displayed.  It seems that HDMI port is damaged, unless we're not doing something right.  The manual seems to indicate that it is plug-and-play.  Any help would be appreciated!  Thank you!

Well, it turns out that the problem was the HDMI cable.  So far, using a 25 ft cable will not it works.  At least the ones I bought.  But a shorter cable works now.  So maybe I need to spend more money on a HDMI cable which is longer.  Thank you!

  • How to control a Mac mini with HDMI ports fries and lightning? (The rest is ok)

Recently, a lightning strike fried video output (HDMI and lightning) ports on my Mac Mini end of 2012. As far as I know, the rest of the machine works fine. It's just blind. I can't have everyone working on this, but I don't want to throw a perfectly (well, almost perfectly) computer works.

If I can get a control over the Mac Mini for a few days, I could set up as a dedicated time Machine or maybe even an iTunes or media Server. How can I achieve this?

Configure the screen sharing on the Mac.

To do this, you must have another recent Mac.

You can start the problem Mac in target disk mode, connect the two Mac by FireWire or Thunderbolt, boot the Mac problem with button down T, boot the first Mac since the Mac HD problem and sharing Setup screen

    http://www.macissues.com/2014/05/07/how-to-set-up-and-use-screen-sharing-in-OS-x /.

    http://www.TechRadar.com/us/news/computing/Apple/how-to-use-screen-sharing-in-Ma c-os-x-1296285

Alternatively, you can take the drive out of the Mac problem and start another Mac that and configure sharing screen.

You can also get a USB video card and put in place by the target disk mode or by removing the similar disk for screen sharing

  • Problems with HDMI Port 3/4 on Toshiba 46xv733

    HY everybody,

When I try to connect a device (PC, Xbox, or PS4) HDMI1 or HDMI2 (where everything is fine) for HDMI3 or HDMI4 I can't make them work properly. Resolution passes something a cable not only 30 Hz. When I try to change the resolution (on PC) the photo does not match the screen (for large or too small).

I searched throu the documentation and the Web but can't find info HDMI3/HDMI4 are different from HDMI1/HDMI2.

    The TV is Toshiba 46xv733.

Any suggestion on how to solve this problem would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

In [User Guide | http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/XV733-32374046-English.pdf] you can find some information that certain HDMI devices at the beginning may not work properly with your latest HDMI TV due to the adaptation of a new standard.

In this case you must unplug your HDMI cable first, and then try the two options settings. INSTAPORT content type and turn off.
You start HDMI source should work with your TV.

The HDMI 3 seems to be a little different from the HDMI 1 and 2.
3 HDMI supports digital and analog sound.
    HDMI 1 / 2 / 4 supports digital audio ONLY.

The HDMI 3 must be used in order to receive sound from a PC connected (via HDMI to DVI cable).

  • Connect two VGA monitors to HP p6774y

I have two old HP screen flat monitors with connections VGA I'm trying to connect to my new HP p6774y.  The office has only a single blue VGA connection in the back. I hooked a monitior to the VGA port and it works very well.  How can I connect the other?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to connect your second vga monitor to the pc. The second video port on this motherboard is a DVI - D port. DVI - D provides only a digital signal which does not work with your analog VGA monitor.

DVI - I to VGA adapters are available because DVI - I includes an analog signal, but also a digital signal.

Apparently, DVI - D to VGA converters are available, but I'm not sure how that they work.

If you want a second vga monitor on your pc, you will need to install a second vga graphics card, if you have an available housing.

Some information about dvi connections are available here.

  • Acer XC-605 does not work with VGA monitor

I just bought it, SNID is *. I may have made a mistake, as I bought it without a new screen, thinking the old man I would have worked.

My monitor is an HP w2007v with a VGA port. There is a VGA port on the back of the Acer tour, I thought that there should not be a problem, but there are. My monitor says that he receives no signal from the computer. What I need to get a new HDMI monitor, or she would work with an adapter HDMI / VGA?

If I have to buy a new monitor, which is better to connect it to the computer? The installation sheet short I said can I use DVI, VGA or HDMI, all the same, but this is not the case. I would say there was a small cap on the the computer's VGA port, but it was not written on the box that I couldn't use it. I thought it was a protection for the transport. So, why is there a VGA port if I can't use it?

[private under the leadership of life]

So, I don't know a lot about the HP monitor, but I hope I can help to explain what you're looking at.

I have attached a picture of the back of an AXC-605, there may be slight differences, but overall, it should look familiar.

Let me start by explaining what is the VGA port on this system. Almost every Office mainboard has a VGA port available. This is because the video is a requirement for the P.O.S.T. process. The reason why it is not used is because the unit has a dedicated video card which is more powerful and the system is configured to use this dedicated card and not to provoke a conflict with the built-in VGA port. Is it possible to use the VGA port? Probably, but you lose a lot of performance with the sytem.

The image options are highlight in slot 13, HDMI and DVI. The best way to connect a VGA monitor would be with DVI to VGA connector. Those who are about $ 3-5 in the States.

    Hope this helps,
    Cory
