[INS 20802] Failure of the Oracle Net Configuration Assistant

Hi, I just tried my first installing Oracle 11 g on RHEL 6.3 2 I followed the guide on http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/oracle-db-11gr2-installation-on-oracle-linux-6.php

Progress is 95% and then says: ' [INS 20802] Oracle Net Configuration Assistant failed ' check installActions.log. Here's the tail of this journal, any ideas what I should do? My screen looks like this:

Well, I hope that you have a static IP address on your machine

Add this static IP address to the hosts file.

Also make sure you have the last JDK installed.

[INS 20802] Failure of the database Oracle Configuration Wizard
I am trying to install Oracle 11 g R2 on my windows 7 Professional, computer 64-bit. After 42% of the installation, it began to show that some files are missing. Few of them are:

Installation instructions missing ear and war files because it is not followed. Both zip files must be unzipped in a folder before that setup.exe is called. See the "Directions" section on the download page - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/enterprise-edition/downloads/112010-win64soft-094461.html

The question is, is Windows server 2003 32-bit, and I try to install database 11g 64 bit. I tried to install database 11g 32-bit. Before that, I erased the traces of the virtual machine in my host system and reinstalled and tried. It worked.

Q re: test a Config name except. using Oracle Net Configuration Assistant

I use Oracle Net Configuration Assistant to test connectivity to a service name.

If I specify the username SCOTT and password valid, the test completes successfully, however, if I do the same test with user defined as 'sys as sysdba' name and his password, I get the message "ORA01017: name of user and password invalid; connection refused '.

If I use the same credentials using SQL * Plus, I can connect without any problems.

Question: Why am I not able to test connectivity to ONCA using "sys as sysdba" as well as his password?

I believe that when you give, 'sys as sysdba', this set is treated as a "username" which is not really. This is why the error is generated for you. If you would like to try just give Sys, you'd see he comes back with an error connection sys must use clause "as sysdba. Then fate of a kind of the story chicken egg. The netca text box has the possibility to enter the credentials of the user as user Sys OMI.

Hi, Im installing 11.2.0.3 database independent single without filesystem ASM / RAC. But still im getting the error as subject line.

Operating system is 64-bit Linux.

IM using no PAP/asm.

I'm looking for books about the oracle network configuration details. I tried oracle press, O'Reillys, Amazon and google; However, I only found books specific to oracle net that bear a date entirely. It seems that General database management books have chapters on the configuration of the network, however.

At the configuration of the network under oracle 10 g + arrived at the point where the comprehensive books on the subject are not worth the cost?

NET Configuration assistant failed

I tried to install Oracle 11 g R2 on CentOs 5.4, everything was fine until 'Net Configuration assistant'. I couldn't see the root run script so...
I think that the problem is because I don't to not define the host properly in/etc/hosts. I have corrected this now.

The question is what do I know fully uninstall the Oracle and try the installation again? Or can do something in between like re - run Setup again...

Its best to uninstall and start again

For can uninstall use

$ cd app/oracle/product/11.2.0/deinstall
$. / Uninstall

So, I recently picked up some DB servers. One of the servers (we'll call it TEST), if I have ps-oracle ef | grep pmon, I find 2 process running, GREEN and BLUE.
OK - on my client TNSNAMES. ORA

(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST=IP_FOR_TEST_SERVER) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = RED)))
TEST_BLUE = (DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST=IP_FOR_TEST_SERVER) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = ORANGE)))
Note, that the SID in the tnsnames does not match the PMON process running.
So, I thought, let's look at the listener.ora, as you can see - the SID in the listener matches the SID of the TNSNAMEs. , But my question is - how the listener is forcing a connection related to RED to a process running as a GREEN to BLUE and ORANGE? Help, please! Here's the listener.ora:

The use of "(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = ORANGE)" in tnsnames is discouraged, in favor of '(CONNECT_DATA =(SERVICE_NAME=ORANGE).

Show us the output of "lsnrctl status".

In this output, observe the difference and the relationship between the "service" and "sid"

ins-20802 - assistant configuration net oracle failed during installation - centos 7

Hello I'm trying to follow the Manual for installation of the Oracle 12 c. In fact it was already installed on the machine and then uninstalled.

During installiation, I get the error "[ins 20802] oracle net configuration assistant has failed during installation" window. And the proposed detailed log file, where I can see:
