• Insert a button on the review Quiz page?

  I am using captivate 7. I want to hide the button submit on the review page and have a custom button that I am able to add advanced actions. Is this possible? Is it also possible to use a function of calendar on the review page. Ideally what I'm trying to do, is to have a message and prevent anyone to click on the button continue until after that that they have read the message. Once they have clicked on the button continue, I would like a message appears on the screen asking if they printed their results. Yes, will be continued on the next page. Don't get back to the review page to give them the ability to print.

  You can not insert the button on the question slide and quiz results slide.

  However, you can insert intelligent use of form and check a box under its properties, and then under Actions > hit > you can set execute advanced action.

  In your scenario, it seems that you must create a conditional action using if - else conditions.

  Hi all

  I'm on Mac CP5. In my module, I Dove immediately the learner in a scenario. If they can do it, fine; If this isn't the case, I want to help to be available. My plan was to have buttons to image on the slide where they could see an example, or watch a working tool. I tried just to insert a button on the question slide so I could navigate to another screen to provide help and now I see that CP5 allows me to add a button (or other standard objects) to a question slide. I also tried to copy and paste a button to another slide and that does not work either.

  How can I insert these additional navigation buttons on a slide in question? I did the quiz on option in the preferences.

  Hello Kevin,

  If you are using the Question slides coming with Captivate, you can not insert interactive objects: buttons, click boxes, text entry boxes. It is also not possible to insert the rollover slidelets or Zoom areas. You can insert other standard objects.

  I think I'm repeating something I already told you: If you want to have total control, especially if there is no declaration required for an LMS, create your own question slides. Do you have the link you asked for more details on creating question slides?

  If you want to stay with the default Question slides, you can maybe try to join an advanced action in pass/fail options.

  Also be careful if you have a "Quiz", which means that if you Question slides: you can not navigate to a slide outside the scope of Quiz, which begins with the first slide where something is orchestrated (usually a Question slide) and ends with the score slide. The setting to 'Optional' for the quiz settings change at all.

  I have a form button with no fill style, no color, no text for all States.

  I have inserted my button in the form (I put size and rounded corners in the same way that the button on the form ).

  The only problem is, that the State of your button does not work / because it's under another layer.

  But that I realize, that I can set for original form button rollover State / with an opacity of 10%, it will be possible to see my button below, just the color changes and it now works together :)

  I know that's not technically correct, but it works... for the design

  Answer was already in my first answer. Insert an interactive object: shape, regular button button or click box. They can to pause the slide, the typical standstill period (see timing properties panel) is 1.5secs for form buttons and other buttons, at the end of his timeline for click boxes that are invisible to the user.  Interactive objects are a success and a failure of the event, when they click on the success event and this event can trigger an action such as «Go ├a next page» You'll find these actions in the properties panel for this object, tab Actions user can read or watch as long as he wants, and only when he clicks on this object, it will move to the next slide.   Because you'll probably want this object to click on it to go to the next slide on each slide, I recommend using a form button. It's the only one who can be put on a master slide (maybe the main model slides), or on the first slide and timed for the rest of the project (synchronization properties panel).   Never extend a slide for the purpose of what you're talking about, because that only increases the size of the file without reason.

  You'll need a conditional action, triggered on enter to the score slide, which will show you this form button if the value of the variable cpQuizInfoPassFail quiz system is equal to 0. You didn't say if you authorize several attempts on the quiz level? And if this is the case, what are the situations demand concerning this form button?

I want a slideshow on the homepage of my site for graphics, but ideally, I want that it pop up "in place" If a button is pressed (these buttons are for things like 'illustration', 'design impression', 'logo design' etc, with each being a portfolio of images slideshow.) Is this possible to do? So instead of buttons each link to their own page, they link to a slideshow that is displayed on the screen?

  Yes, you can design it.

  Use any composition, trigger can be used as button that would open the container to the click. Into a container, insert slide show with images.

• Toggle CC button advances the slide

  Hello

  I have a path with a transparent button that is activating / deactivating the captioning encoded or not. Each slide is a break when it reaches the end so that the learner can click on the next button. However, if the learner reaches the end of the slide and happens to click twice on this toggle CC button, it advances the slide.

  Any ideas on how to stop doing that?

  You must create a tip Action that will run the activation/deactivation process, then link the button to the peak Action.

  Hello - for some reason I'm not able to change the slide duration. The slide is currently 67 seconds. I try to change the duration of the slide in the properties panel - nothing. I try to move the playhead. It is not to every change of 67 seconds. any ideas? (PS - the slide audio features, but the sound is long only 49 seconds - I want to cut the length of the blade if it ends when the audio is complete.)

  What are the objects on the slide? Normally when you can not adjust the duration of the slide is because you have an object on the slide which is timed such that you can not do the shorter blade.

• Captivate 6 randomly lengthening the slide duration

  Hi all!

  I create quiz in Captivate 6.0.1.240.

  I put my slides to be long of 1 second.  However, if I make a change to a slide, other slides - no slides at random - are automatically extended to a random time.  For example, I just do a chain to slide 7.  When I got on slide 17, it is now long 57.6 seconds.

  I didn't know if it went on opening project or modification, so, today, when I opened the project before any changes I was watching each slide to confirm that it takes time to 1 second.  After making a few changes, I now see long periods at random!

  Any thoughts?  It drives me crazy to have to remember to check each slide for length before the publish.

  Ah... now it all makes sense.  I often tell people that one of the first things they should be doing in the global settings in the CP is to disable these options Autosize darning captions, buttons and the timing.  They are more harmful than help in my opinion.

  Double click on the offending button. When the text of the new label is available to change, there should be a negative sign "-" button to the left. Click to remove the button.

  There are two ways to address still Image duration. One is global and applied prior to importation. We could determine the desired approximate time, come on in Edition > Preferences > General > always in time. Then, all imported pictures have that duration (as well as titles and new features, such as video of Black).

  Once this general term has been defined, we can again and on an Image by Image basis, click on + drag on the rest of the Image, tail or head, to adjust the duration. By doing this, I would have the info panel open and visible, to see exactly how long I've changed.

  What do the buttons do? Just delete their point of pause and when they reach the end of the slide, and the exit action is set to continue, or go to the next slide, everything will play.
