Is it possible to open/start a slide show using a button on the home page?

Hi all. I want a slideshow on the homepage of my site for graphics, but ideally, I want that it pop up "in place" If a button is pressed (these buttons are for things like 'illustration', 'design impression', 'logo design' etc, with each being a portfolio of images slideshow.) Is this possible to do? So instead of buttons each link to their own page, they link to a slideshow that is displayed on the screen?

Let me know if you need more information.

Yes, you can design it.

Use any composition, trigger can be used as button that would open the container to the click. Into a container, insert slide show with images.

Images used may be related to their specific pages.

Thank you

Sanjit

  • How can I open with an animated gif and then go to the home page?

    I'm sorry for the newbie question, but I would like to have an intro of gif hosted on a web page. Is it possible to have the gif game and then go to the index file? Or I have to insert the gif into an index file and save the homepage like something different? If so, how to go to the home page automatically?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks for the help.

    I agree... I don't necessarily like the animated intro, but he asked the person that I created the site for. I didn't use the flash because of the possibility that people do not have it or have it turned off and I thought this would be an easier option. Thanks again.

  • GIFs on 9gag open in a new tab, do not play on the home page.

    I use Firefox 24 at present. In the previous version, I could browse 9gag and play the gifs in the homepage. Now, whenever I click on a gif image to play, firefox opens as a new site in the same tab. This does not happen in Chrome. Furthermore, I can't expand the parameters or the other. What is going on? Am I missing some plug-ins?

    Try running Firefox in questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode. If it works properly in this configuration, then one of your modules is the culprit.

  • Why Firefox check the compatibility of the additional modules every time I open it? Why am I so directed to the home page of Mozilla? Why not answer you that question the last time that I asked it?

    It's embarrassing. IWant to start using a less troublesome browser, but I like Firefox otherwise.

    Have you tried to Reset Firefox preferences to troubleshoot and solve problems and remove the extensions. <>* (extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, etc) files in the Firefox profile folder as cor - el suggested?

    If you want to try "dynamite", try the steps 7 and 8 of the troubleshoot and diagnose problems of Firefox article: a clean reinstall of Firefox (remove the Firefox.app from the Applications folder and download (with Safari or another browser and install the latest version of Firefox from www.mozilla.com ) and finally create a new Firefox profile .) If a new profile-Firefox fix it, you can transfer your old profile data to the new profile.

    How to open 2 sites on start and 1 Web site when you click the home button?

    You can change your shortcut on the desktop Firefox with two starting URLS. To try:

    • Shortcut on the desktop: right-click on the icon, choose Properties
    • Icon taskbar pinned: clic click right on the icon, right click in Mozilla Firefox, click on properties

    Windows normally selects the shortcut tab. If this is not the case, go ahead and click on the shortcut tab.

    You will see the target highlighted. On 64-bit Windows, which is usually either not less the following:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

    For the specific shortcut launch pages, you can add them to the end, for example:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -url "http://www.dilbert.com/" -url "http://www.gocomics.com/pearlsbeforeswine"

    After OK'ing the Properties dialog box, you can test everything right now to confirm that Firefox is now launching a window with tabs. Either:

    • Double-click the shortcut on the desktop
    • right click on taskbar icon pinned, click Mozilla Firefox

    Is it possible to do a slide show or a presentation without the discoloration (and l horizontal and vertical) so no transition at all?

    (I want my dog to "run" more easily through the Web page in a slide show very fast)

    Hello

    You can set the transition to one of the three options available (bland, vertical and horizontal) and set the speed of transition to "0". This would remove all kinds of your slideshow transition effects.

    Using FF 3.6.6

    Hello.

    I hope that this support article is what you need:

    http://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/session+restore

    If this does not help, it is possible that you have a problem with some Add on Firefox which is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

    Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you must make sure that it is not caused by one (or more) of your installed modules, whether an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do this easily and cleanly, start Firefox in safe mode (remember to select disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem goes away, you know that it's an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode and allow them one by one until you find the source of the problem. See this article for more information on troubleshooting extensions and theme and this one for plugins.

    If you need help with one of your modules, you will need to contact the author.

  • does not open to the home page

    Recently when I opened my firefox browser, whenever it does not open the home page. Instead, it opens to the last page I was on until I closed out of the browser. I tried to reinstall firefox, and that has not changed anything. I use windows 7.

    You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

    You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

    The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

    You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.

  • When you open an external link, a new window opens and displays the home page

    Updated to the latest version (36.0 Linux) and now whenever I open a link from an external application to be steam E-mail IRC or any other source, instead of the page is displayed a new window will open and then load the home page. I tried the default browser to something else (which opened the links correctly) switching and vice versa, safe mode and even a refresh, but the problem persists.

    I found this in the bug tracker.

    Apparently it seems to be a problem with an old hack in XFCE or desktop environments possible on X in general, which is no longer supported in Firefox 36. A solution fast until they solve this problem, is to open a new terminal and enter:

    sudo gedit /usr/share/xfce4/helpers/firefox.desktop
    (replace gedit by any other text editor you use)
    .. .and change the last two lines:
    X-XFCE-orders = %B - distance "openURL (about: Virgin, new window)"; %B;
    X-XFCE-CommandsWithParameter = %B - remote "openURL (%s)"; %B %s;
    to read:
    X-XFCE-orders = %B;
    X-XFCE-CommandsWithParameter = B %%s;
    then save the document, of course.

    This solves the problem for me immediately.

  • After installation or upgrade to Firefox 31, starting Firefox does not display the home page, personalize displays a blank page and the radio button does not work

    I am the admin of Windows for a University Department and install PC with Firefox all the time. This problem does not occur with every PC I would maintain, only a selection bit (model different laptops with Windows and update 1 8.1.) Until today, it has happened with the new user (with admin rights) accounts that I place on laptops for our staff. Today, this happened with the account administrator while setting up a new laptop. In all cases so far, I have install Windows from a registered image that was created by using sysprep.

    I tried many suggestions to reset Firefox, removing the profile of Firefox users, removing the Windows profile users, uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox, uninstall/reinstall of Firefox and the latest Java, but nothing helped. After uninstalling, I run an application to delete the caches and temporary files and even remove manually the keys to register HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mozilla and HKCU\SOFTWARE\Mozilla. I restart and make sure that the installation folder is deleted after uninstalling.

    Results are the same: after installing Firefox 31, the initial settings for migration, IE or Chrome pop up and after having clicked on the button finish, Firefox starts but does not display the home page of the new user, only a blank page. By clicking on the Options (3 bars) button does nothing. Right click in the appropriate box, the shortcut menu appears, so I can choose to customize, but which opens another tab with subject: Customize the URL and the page is blank. In the right click context menu, I can activate the menu bar and get options from that.

    My last attempt helped a little. I uninstalled Firefox 31, cleaned, removed the profile user Firefox, rebooted and then installed Firefox 30. Initial start-up runs and tells me that I'm not up-to-date and the works of button Options. But I can't always customize.

    Then I upgraded to Firefox 31, but then it's back to no start page, no options button and no customization. I can go down to 30 and get customize practically works again.

    Addon only is for McAfee Scriptscan to Firefox 15.1.0, just after installation is disabled.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Problems with the back button doesn't work does not correctly can be caused by the extension of McAfee SiteAdvisor.
