Inspector of Firefox 45.0.2

I see no references to my userContent.css.  I made a change via css for the h1 tag.  You can see the change worked.  I do not see the change in the display rules.  Any ideas?

Here's the code.

Yet, in the Compu... There are references to the changes.  You can see userContent.css:887.

Why is:

-h1 > struck dashex?

-the number of line of 887 is off?

Problem disappears in Firefox 46.0.1.

  • changes in the Inspector of AutoSave

I work frequently with the Inspector in firefox and I want to save the changes (at least those that I do in directly to code html or css) in my source code. Is this possible with any add-on or some option is integrated into firefox?

I'm afraid to tell Inspector is a tool for web developers to test changes in a web code (for example, to test different combinations of Col / size in a Web site without saving changes - load - save - loading).

Do not change the source code. If you want a Web site and then save them dangels, you will need to get some tools such as KompoZer (http://www.kompozer.net/).

  • Get the complete HTML file of url

    Hello world!

I'm working on a small project recently where I should pick up the announcement of the today's weather on the web.

So I use the HTML screws from the weather.com site.

The idea is that I'd like to know, the trend of the day (sunny, cloudy,...), and I thought I could do it two informations: from the small icons or text they always show on the Web site.

So I used the web Inspector of Firefox to find the information I need, and in Firefox, I find it very easily: it is written in the full text, either the icon is loaded into the html code, it is very easy to know what the weather from the HTML file will be.

Therefore, I thought I could just using VI from Labview analysis to find the information I need the HTML file loaded from the url.

But... I don't know why, Labview gives me the html is not completely identical to the Firefox gives me: some of the lines are missing, and of course, those that I need, because it would not be fun otherwise!

Anyone has an idea why this would happen?

I work with Labview 2014 for Mac.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello world!!

First of all, thanks a lot for your answers!

I finally found the problem, thanks to a King of HTML I work with

The problem is that when checking with the Inspector of Firefox, Javascript is taken into account, while is not in Labview. It is possible to get the HTML with Firefox by disabling javascript in everything: config. The watch inspector then same as Labview HTML gets, which allows you to easily find the part you are interested in.

    I hope that's clear!

Thanks a lot again for your answers everyone!

Try the DOM Inspector in Firefox to see what style rules to apply to which
element and how the calculated final CSS looks like. This allows to track
    the source of these problems.

    Here's the problem:

    > #navcontainer {a}

You declare that the elements of list as 'inline' further, but the links
    themselves are displayed as "block".

  • Rules of CSS in Firefox Inspector - suggestions/advice

I have a problem with the Inspector in the Firefox browser. After some time of use, in the 'Rules' tab, system won't show me suggestions of CSS syntax. After the passage of the Inspector and, everything returns to normal, but... once again... after a few moments, the system stops showing me indications of syntax.

The latest Edition of Firefox developers fixed this bug.

  • The Inspector guard automatic opening and closing. This is what makes it almost impossible to use firefox.

I simply can't the Inspector to stop opening. I tried a few steps listed through other messages of support concerning the deactivation of the Inspector and firebug, but none of these worked. I am writing this upward in chrome at the moment. The only way I can stop doing what he's doing is now Shift, Control or ALT. I checked to see if these keys have been blocked or somehow going out on their own, but they are not. I even restarted my computer and it is always the case. Any help would be appreciated.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
  • Firefox Inspector not to focus on the element by click on inspect.

The new firefox for developers is out, I downloaded and used as your primary browser.
However, I discovered that the Inspector not to focus or show the direct element that I inspected. He just open the inspector window & show the tag of the whole body.
Is this something new to Firefox? or from the Add-ons of mine?

This happens to you all the time or only in specific cases?

This can happen if the elements are no longer present if the focus is removed from the web page that will happen if you try to inspect the item via the context menu.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

  • Inspector on the tools of firefox development is empty

I have trouble with the Developer Tools tab of the Inspector.

At times, the Panel is completely empty. the Panel with the rules, calculated, fonts,... is very good and the path is also active, but the main table with the html structure is empty.

I have to re - open and close the developer tools to reactivated this Panel and after certain times or certain actions (do not know what exactly), the Panel is white, once again.

I use Firefox 26 (but it was the same thing on FF25) on basic OS Luna (based on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit)

    Thank you.
    Julien.

    Hi bibichette,

Please contact our support. It is strange that the Inspector is empty when you inspect an element on the page. What have you tried already?

Please let us know how it goes, we are happy to help you.

  • Watch a rules and model box simultaneously in Firefox 20 Inspector

I've upgraded to Firefox 20 and now my Inspector is confined to the lower part of the display in an iFrame that I can get out.

In previous versions, I could open the rules CSS and visualization of box model at the same time. This was one of the main reasons that I considered the Inspector Firefox superior to those of opera, Chrome and Safari.

I can't seem to find a way to do it now... what I have to click between the box model and the rules or is there a way to get back to the old route of the inspector or one that is better that way?

I'll encode an add-on if I do this thing to work.
Very disappointed that Firefox deleted their old default Inspector view.

Yes, you can open open a tab at the time in the left pane (you will also get a tab fonts).

There will be a lot more tools added to the inspector window in the future versions of Firefox and by opening all the windows could reduce the screen available for the web page for next to nothing.

So that's how it goes, and you will have to pay.

  • How can I get rid of the inspector at the bottom of my Firefox browser?

There is a gray toolbar at the bottom of my Firefox browser, apparently I added it somehow, but I don't know how. There is a red "X" on the far right, but by clicking on the button 'Inspector close', does absolutely nothing. How can I get rid of him? There are several tabs such as; div #_GPLIT & #cont div, etc... It is very annoying, and it does not close. Please help me.

Have you tried to close and restart Firefox?

You can check for problems with the file localstore.rdf.

  • Links within the pdf (preview pdf in Firefox)

    Hello

    I have a problem.

In firefox v.41, when I saw a pdf file, if the pdf file has a links on the inside, there is no problem, but since I updated Firefox to v.42, the links do not work. In fact, when I click in the link, it does nothing.

The problem is, I run a web site with certain standards in Spain and it is a significant problem for our users.

    The document is http://www.codigotecnico.org/images/stories/pdf/seguridadIncendio/DccSI.pdf (Page.32)

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, I disassembled the character with the Inspector, and it works.

I suppose it is a Microsoft Word problem.

I'll try to recreate the document.

    Thank you.

  • I've set up a Web site using the TNG software for genealogists. It seems fine in Chrome and Safari. It is different and not as good as in Firefox.

My new site Web search OK on Safari. On Firefox, the fonts look lighter and smaller. Underscore bars now appear thinner. How can I make Firefox display look more, as it should be and not on Safari?

    Thank you
    Bob

The specified 12px font size seems not to be very large, so maybe this will increase a little in case a small font is used by Firefox.

    font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
    font-size: 12px;

What the police use Firefox on the page?

You just right-click and select "Inspect element" to open the Inspector (Firefox/tools > Web Developer) with the selected item.
You can check the font used for the text selected in the tab fonts in the right pane of the Inspector.

Just so you can check that you are not the page zoom.
Reset the zoom of page on pages that are causing problems.

    • View > Zoom > reset (Command + 0 (zero))
