Rules of CSS in Firefox Inspector - suggestions/advice
I have a problem with the Inspector in the Firefox browser. After some time of use, in the 'Rules' tab, system won't show me suggestions of CSS syntax. After the passage of the Inspector and, everything returns to normal, but... once again... after a few moments, the system stops showing me indications of syntax.
The latest Edition of Firefox developers fixed this bug.

How can you rule new ad in the css property inspector?
If you mean create a new rule, you can do that in the properties panel.
You would add totally new rules since the CSS designer. Go to window > CSS Designer (or SHIFT + F11 if it is not open)
Some information about the designer of CSS: CSS Designer : a Dreamweaver CM³ in Visual design tool | Adobe inspire Magazine
If you just mean adding a class that you already have in your css to an element, you must...
1. turn highlight the item that you want to assign
2. make sure that the HTML button is selected on the left side of the properties panel
3. click the class or ID field and select a class or Id to add to your item

CSS in Firefox with menu/header...driving drives me crazy.

in any other browser the menu and header remain the same. However, when I opened my site in FireFox the menu with headers/do not follow my css. It is much lower there and it causes great add-on product to disappear. I looked in the express reference to a rule just for firefox on the menu, and although css which does not move to where it should be he did not back the large module.

Looks like if you give - .header .logo - on line 46 of default.css about 105px height - and give - .header, .main, .footer - overflow: hidden on line 31 to default.css - after all the product back on the page and header is it the same with chrome and ie.
Hope this helps,

Firefox Inspector not to focus on the element by click on inspect.
The new firefox for developers is out, I downloaded and used as your primary browser.
However, I discovered that the Inspector not to focus or show the direct element that I inspected. He just open the inspector window & show the tag of the whole body.
Is this something new to Firefox? or from the Add-ons of mine?This happens to you all the time or only in specific cases?
This can happen if the elements are no longer present if the focus is removed from the web page that will happen if you try to inspect the item via the context menu.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Rule of CSS style for the background image
I'm doing a tutorial "Create your first website" and set up a CSS rule to add a background image. The rule indicates in the CSS styles, but it does not appear in Design view. I re-read the instructions 100 times. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Here's my DSS rule for the main image:
#main image {}
background-image: url (.. / images/main.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
position: relative;
height: 376px;
Width: 968px;
}
Thank you! This is a duh moment where you finally see what is obvious. I should have taken him.
I appreciate your help

What it looks like in IE IE
and in Firefox
I finally got the chance to do a little reading on CSS and decided to implement in a new site, that I am. I am fairly new to this, but I think I get the general call of the coding. The only real problem I have at the moment is the compatibility with Firefox vs IE with the code below (see image above). It's just at the top of my site, and as you can see, he throws the divs below it. If someone could point me in the right direction, please do.rtcpenguin wrote:

FireFox is an add-on brilliant called Firebug - one of its many features
allows you to 'Edit' styles of individual elements 'on the fly' - you can
statements of CSS Disable/enable/add/change instantly and see the results on
your page - all this without re-record the CSS files and reloading the pageHTH

website centering in css in firefox
Hello
my site looks good in that is to say, well centered, however in firefox everyting is varied to the left. any ideas would be appreciated
Kind regards
IanFirst fix your coding errors. Then you can worry about your layout
problems.And by the way, your CSS below will not work at all. A margin of auto
cannot work unless the element also has an assigned width. But we will make of the
first valid thing.--

I can't connect my wifi Ipad. I tried to off suggestions for Apple. Now I'm stuck in the IPad introduction after my hard stop and when I get to choose a network, it is not mine. All other devices in the House are connected. I can't get out of the set up mode to go into the settings and try to activate the wifi. Suggestions?
Because you cannot find your network, the SSID is hidden by the router? If so, you need to select other, and then enter the SSID and password yourself.

I have problem with hotspot because its position cannot be fixed to follow the proportion of the fixed background in different resoulutions.
You cannot assign hotspots with css. Here are some options different however, you have...
You can try to use several images that can evolve, linking each image, instead of hot spots.
You can also look into "sensitive image maps" to get examples of jquery/javascript run interactive images that can be resized.
According to your image (for example, if you are linking States on a map) you would be able to use the SVG paths and link paths with javascript.

How can I set up my work space?
How can I create to-DOS? (just like previous versions of the PS?)
I assume that you want to place some signs along the right edge. If this is the case choose window and check the panels you want to display. You can adjust their width and position. Most useful: when you are satisfied with the arrangement of the Panel, choose window > workspace > new workspace and save it. If, at any time, things move around you can set things right by choosing window > workspace > Reset [workspace name]

The cross-platform browser compatibility CSS rule help
I am an advanced beginner Web Designer.
The site that I need help is www.sprungtheatre.com
I designed this site on a PC computer. Each page has a different Background Image CSS rule. The only rule I put is the image and the 'no - repeat'. I did put the terms of its offering.
Each of these images had an effect feather applied in Illustrator so that the image would have melted in the background black. This works fine on Windows machines in IE and Firefox.
However, on Macs, the left side of the image is cut off. Who wants to say, it seems if the feathered edge was cut and the picture ends abruptly.
Is there a way to fix this?
I just think that is this my occur:
The rule of CSS Background Image is applied to a nested table that is editable in a model. I think the Mac browswers to move the image to the top-left of the table of "Grandpa" in the set, in which the editable region is nested, cut this part of the image that appears in the region uneditable 'Grandpa' table and showing the part of it that appears in the editable nested table. I hope that makes sense. Application of investment rules would it? Otherwise, what could?
Thank you very much
Jon
