• Problem with on Inspiron 1521 1390 mini card

  For the past few weeks, I had trouble maintaining a stable wireless internet connection.  I have intermittently lose connection or the connection strength fluctuates.  I have an Inspiron 1521, with a Dell Wireless 1390 Wlan Mini Card.  Also, I am running Windows 7.

  A few hours ago, I suddenly lost my wireless connection and could not restore.  I ran the diagnostic tool, who reported that there was a hardware or a problem with the driver with my minimap 1390.  Now, when I go into the Device Manager, it has an exclamation mark next to him and he says: "this device cannot start (Code 10)".

  I rebooted my system and downloaded and installed this driver (http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails?driverId=CR6YY&fileid=2731101777).  Now, device manager says "Windows has determined the software driver for your device is up to date," but there is always a Code 10 error.

  It just means that the card needs to be replaced?  I don't know what to do now - any help would be appreciated.

  I received today my wireless card new (Dell Wireless 1395 - that now recommends Dell for my system).  I installed it and as soon as I turned on my laptop, the card was recognised, software driver had already been installed (somehow) and available wireless networks detected card.  I'm now connected wireless using this card.

  I have a Dell Inspiron 1521 and have had problems with the CD/DVd driver. I went through these threads and tried all the suggestions, but in vain. He said this morning when I restarted driver installed successfully. So I played a dvd and a cd that was very well (in the past even the driver icon is gone). Now, I tried again and windows media player does not recognize the discs. I tried the regedit option and am now at a loss. I tried to go through dell where he asked me to go to start - all the programs-set program access... but it's not all access program icon to click on... any help would be greatly appreciated.   I have an Inspiron 1521 on which I have installed XP Pro. There's a webcam which seems to work fine. I just installed the Web Cam Manager software and it is demanding a driver of the webcam, before it will let me play. I looked in the CD that came with the laptop but I can not find them. Is there somewhere on the Dell site where they can be downloaded? Apart from this little glitch, the laptop is great.

  Hi everyone, I have replaced my MBP unibody mid-2010 with a spare battery and the laptop battery lost its battery power very quickly, during normal use and while you sleep. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a different battery, and the same problems continue to occur, so I suspect that something is wrong with my computer at this point.

  Above all, I had a second replacement battery installed when I wiped my computer clean and made a new fresh installation of El Capitan and the problem persists. The drain of the battery during sleep is even worse, it goes 100% to near depletion in a few hours.

  I have read several threads on these issues but can't seem to find the one that matches my computer behavior or specific settings. I'd love some help troubleshooting this! Can someone kindly walk through diagnostics on this for me please? FYI I already have:

  First, not all replacement batteries are at the height for use on portable Macs what OWC at macsales.com has batteries that are. The other thing is in what regards the battery life is what you do.
