  Hello

  I have an Inspiron 1521 on which I have installed XP Pro. There's a webcam which seems to work fine. I just installed the Web Cam Manager software and it is demanding a driver of the webcam, before it will let me play. I looked in the CD that came with the laptop but I can not find them. Is there somewhere on the Dell site where they can be downloaded? Apart from this little glitch, the laptop is great.

  My network card on my Inspiron 1750 has stopped working suddenly. I left the computer, while I was working online, went for about 2 hours, and when I came back, I wasn't online more. I can't reconnect to the internet. I was on the phone with the cable operator for two hours Tuesday night, and they said that I probably need an updated adapter. My computer tells me it is good, but then again, I can't connect to the internet to check. I tried an ethernet connection, but it is not recogniziing either. What should I do?

• Problem with on Inspiron 1521 1390 mini card

  For the past few weeks, I had trouble maintaining a stable wireless internet connection.  I have intermittently lose connection or the connection strength fluctuates.  I have an Inspiron 1521, with a Dell Wireless 1390 Wlan Mini Card.  Also, I am running Windows 7.

  A few hours ago, I suddenly lost my wireless connection and could not restore.  I ran the diagnostic tool, who reported that there was a hardware or a problem with the driver with my minimap 1390.  Now, when I go into the Device Manager, it has an exclamation mark next to him and he says: "this device cannot start (Code 10)".

  I rebooted my system and downloaded and installed this driver (http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails?driverId=CR6YY&fileid=2731101777).  Now, device manager says "Windows has determined the software driver for your device is up to date," but there is always a Code 10 error.

  It just means that the card needs to be replaced?  I don't know what to do now - any help would be appreciated.

  I received today my wireless card new (Dell Wireless 1395 - that now recommends Dell for my system).  I installed it and as soon as I turned on my laptop, the card was recognised, software driver had already been installed (somehow) and available wireless networks detected card.  I'm now connected wireless using this card.

  I have a Dell Inspiron 1521 and have had problems with the CD/DVd driver. I went through these threads and tried all the suggestions, but in vain. He said this morning when I restarted driver installed successfully. So I played a dvd and a cd that was very well (in the past even the driver icon is gone). Now, I tried again and windows media player does not recognize the discs. I tried the regedit option and am now at a loss. I tried to go through dell where he asked me to go to start - all the programs-set program access... but it's not all access program icon to click on... any help would be greatly appreciated. Whenever I start Dell Webcam Manager or Webcam Center, I see the blue light but no picture on the screen. It does not work in Yahoo Messenger.   It is possible that a third-party application is causing the conflict. We can find the contradictory application using the clean boot.

  Dell Inspiron N 5010 with 8 beeps indicates the LCD or the failure of the LCD screen cable. However, ask you to try following the below steps that might help:

  (1) turn off your computer.

  (2) remove all external devices such as adapter, USB key, battery, etc.

  (3) press and hold the power for 30 seconds button, freeing up of static electricity on the computer (if any).

  (4) now replace the battery and plug the charger.

  (5) let the load on the computer for awhile.

  (6) now try to turn on the computer if the same problem occur, then you can use an external monitor and check to see if the same problem happens.

  So I recently got a new laptop Inspiron 7548, earning 8.1, i7 5500U, 16 GB of RAM... and the offset nor buttons Ctrl worked-, I have run the dell diagnostic after noticing my Ctrl-C, etc functions, were not working. They sent me a new keyboard that I installed it but it still does not work. I tried to reset the system, uninstall/reinstall drivers... nothing worked.

  Please help, I work a lot with Adobe products and not being able to use the shortcuts is really slow down my work.

• Screen touch Inspiron 2350 has stopped working

  A few days ago I started my Inspiron 2350 and the touch screen does not work.

  It doesn't seem to be a clear answer as to why it stopped working or a general framework that will allow me to fix it.

  In addition, under my current computer information / drivers, the computer does not recognize a touchscreen... that laugh because the monitor is attached to the base of the computer.

  If I had to guess, based on the horrible criticism from Windows, I'm sure something is automatically updated to Windows and launched. I am currently operating on 8.1 - and since I out took it of the box three months ago. This problem started last week.

  I'm having exactly the same issues over the past months... In my opinion, to do with automatic shutter windows 8.1 update as well. I have re-installed to make the adjustment and then touch screen reworked. Then windows update automatic, touch has stopped working again. Repetitive cycles, it seems that Dell could not have intended to solve this problem at all. The last pilot patch file was last year... they never update it... I remember my first PC of Intel4 Dell, purchased at the College; She was flawed with driver problems through my 4 years in College; completely lost my parent$ 1700, ten years ago... I do not understand how my wife of Mac user to make me buy another dell again (because I told him I'm a PC person?) ... my final solution can be... support of stop 1.) calling Dell technology, these people have probably even high school, 2) switch to Mac and never re-use a PC... 3.) oh, I sell my stock Dell too... Stop wasting our lives to find a solution for this... how long did you spend YOU on this problems so far?

  Read the message below. It has been copied from another thread and the poster has been informed to start a new thread with his question. What is ironic, is that I have exactly the same problem on my Dell.

  After downloading some updates to Vista my Dell desktop computer restarted and tried to load step 3 updates, it moves very quickly from 0% to 100% and then restarts, only to go back into the same loop of trying to set up step 3 and restart.

  I tried the following, starting in safe mode, same results updates are trying to configure.

  Auto repair, I am told by a message, it cannot be repaired.

  System Restore, I have only 2 system shown to restore points and they are at the time of the upgrade, if I try these points to restore I get an error message.

  I tried to reboot from the original installation provided CD but all I get is 'windows is copying files', then a black screen.

  I tried the boot iso but neosoft option again to the message windows is to copy the files, and then the black screen.

  I'm in thr stage where I can not think of anything else other that to go to a data recovery specialist, to recover the files most important (have over 200 GB of various things on the hard disk) and then reset to factory settings and load data and try and find the sources of all the programs that I had. It looks like an enormous task and it is the main computer for my business. If a kind soul has suggestions as to how I can get this situation somehow, I would be eternally grateful.

  If both systems are running Windows 7, then it is very likely hard drives are both drives 2.5 "SATA. However, you need to reinstall Windows. Your Toshiba drive will not work as is in your Dell laptop.

  My webcam is blocking my computer as soon as access you it via Skype or open the Dell Webcam Central software. Windows 8 pro is the operating system. The webcam shows fine on the device, the said driver update manager that it is all of this to date. Driver is 6.2.9200.16420 (dated the 21.6.2006).

  Vikram Hi, I uninstalled the Dell Webcam software, then uninstalled Skype. Reinstalled Skype for Windows8 version and everything works fine. Thank you very much.
