  If I remember right you can set the brightness of the display by saving settings. Please start Toshiba Power saver. Check the part runs on batteries. There must be some NORMAL called marker profile. Click details, and then click standby power mode tab.

  Hi everyone, I have replaced my MBP unibody mid-2010 with a spare battery and the laptop battery lost its battery power very quickly, during normal use and while you sleep. I contacted the manufacturer and they sent me a different battery, and the same problems continue to occur, so I suspect that something is wrong with my computer at this point.

  First, not all replacement batteries are at the height for use on portable Macs what OWC at macsales.com has batteries that are. The other thing is in what regards the battery life is what you do.   I have windows xp edition sp3 family. I hit the power button to hibernate the pc but I think an automatice update was running.  Pc crashes when windows resumes after hibernation. I forced a re-boot, but now the svchost.exe to netsvcs process uses a lot of RAM and CPU. I have a Dell Dimension 8250 with 1 GB of RAM. Svchost uses > 600 MB of memory and 100% of the CPU unless I have stop the DHCP service. When I stop DHCP the svchost stops using CPU and memory affected slowly decreases to about 150 MB and remains at this level. But without DHCP I do have access to the network.

  After installing SP3 recently I started having some weird problems, as I lost my printer and had to re - install the software. Also noticed that after re-booting and desktop appears completely empty, the screen turns white and the taskbar at the bottom will appear empty for about 30 seconds, then reappears. PC seems to be more slow tha before installing SP3.

  I've tried everything. Nothing stopped the svchost to chew all the memory, virtual memory and time processor. Had to re - install windows xp.
