Inspiron 1525-1526, Touchpad, mouse, or keyboard issues resolved

Hi all. I'm new on the dell forum. I'm here to show you how to repair inspiron 1525-1526 issues touch pad and keyboard. some of you experience the touchpad Act crazy, cursor jumping from one side of the screen to another, etc., some of you have the experience of the keyboard works sometimes, and other keyboard types that it itself, etc. now all back together. or test your touchpad before put you everything back. If you apply duct tape behind the touchpad cable. Please do! you will now also love using your laptop with no problems. Note: your keyboard should work correctly now. Touchpad problem makes the useless keyboard. because now the touchpad is fixed, your keyboard should work fine. If it isn't, please apply the same technique, place the tape at the end of the keyboard cable.

I hope everyone is happy and enjoying their laptops. Well apparently the touchpad cable connection coming loose over time. why many dell customers have their computers laptops repair by factory dell only to work for a few months, and then the problem comes back. in other words, the thickness of the wire shrinks over time or the latch that keeps the cable loses decision-making. but as you see a little little band solves this problem.

I've had my computer for a week and the top and down volume touchpads works but the mute button just turns on and turns off but does nothing when I press on it. I don't know if it's a flaw or something that I might accidentally changed since it worked when I got it.

  • Turn off the tap to click on Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista

Can someone tell me how to disable "tap to click" on the touchpad of my laptop?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, running Windows Vista.  It's the standard touchpad I mind, it has not been upgraded.

Other forums have suggested to go to the control panel > hardware and sound > mouse, but once I'm there, I only "buttons," "Pointers," "Pointer Options" and "hardware".  There is no option to disable "Tap to click" referred to one of them.

I've updated all the drivers - Windows tells me I have the latest version, if this doesn't fix the problem.

My hands are too big to type without hitting the touchpad!  So frustrating.  I accidentally moved my slider three times during the composition of this post.  Someone help me please!  That's four times now.

    I thought about it!

Under computer > C: > drivers > entry > R176423, I ran DPInst.  He installed the Dell Touchpad option in my taskbar to bottom left.  After the reboot, I was able to open a more in-depth version of my touchpad, where I could uncheck "Tap to click".  _ Yes!

Thanks for all your help, man.  I really appreciate it.  It's really a positive manifestation of the human condition when the volunteers their expertise selflessly to help others.  Keep up the good work, and I hope that this thread will stay up to help someone else in the future.

  • Inspiron 1525 records sounds of touchpad

I have a new Dell Inspiron 1525 with Vista with the microphone plug Simtel. If I press the touchpad, or even the body of the laptop, it records sound when recording. It seems not serious if I have a microphone plugged in, if I press the touchpad (for example, double-click an application), the taps are picked up. This makes the function of recording pretty useless for me. Any suggestions?

  • Touchpad mouse does not work on my Satellite L850D - 12 p

    Hello

I had problems with my laptop since the beginning. The hard drive failed and the carpet of mouse and keyboard have had intermittent problems since day 1. Randomly, they stop working and will not work again until you restart.

Recently the mouse pad often stopped to work prompting me to uninstall the Synoptics driver for this device. I removed the device from Device Manager and expected that when I rebooted windows driver would be. This was not the case. I reinstalled from the driver that I got from this site and now is without recognizing the mouse from the Synoptics software. Only the USB mouse that I plugged in worked and even then it often froze.

I tried a soft reset of the laptop wiping my settings and more recently a reset. I think that it is purely a software problem.

The mouse still does not work. Does anyone have ideas on this?

    Laptop is L850D - 12 p.

    Any help is well suitable.

    > I have tried a soft reset of the laptop wiping my settings and more recently a reset. I think that it is purely a software problem.

The point is that, for software problems, the Toshiba Recovery disk should solve your problems of keyboard and touchpad. So, I think that this issue is NOT due to software problem.

You mentioned that you had these problems since the first day buying hmm I m wondering why you did not contact the authorized service provider or a retailer of laptop for a fix.
New devices are covered by warranty and in case of hardware malfunction; the guarantee covers the repair procedure.

My solution: you can try to recover the laptop once more. Use the original Toshiba recovery disc. Also check if the BIOS is updated.
Note: the touchpad should work even if the other Synaptics touchpad driver isn't installed. Why? The touchpad is controlled by the default Microsoft driver and current touchpad as touch and scrolling functions do not exist by default. Synaptics touchpad driver adds a few more features and functionality for the touchpad.

  • Mouse and keyboard no longer work after fixing drive dvd - Satellite A100-147

My DVD Player wasn't working, so I fixed it with the help of some advice from a forum: go to regedit to remove the 'previous' and 'high' or something, I have a catalog specified.

But then the keyboard and the touchpad is dead in Windows. Nor can I use an external keyboard and mouse.

I tried to start it in safe mode and with the last settings that worked. None succeeded. Apart from the fact that the keyboard actually works to make choices, therefore, a question Ms.

    Ideas/fixes would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    1. have you made changes on the computer recently?

It is possible that a third-party application is causing the conflict. We can find the contradictory application using the clean boot.
