Inspiron 530 Intel Core2 Media Reader question

I got this new system for about 6 weeks. Today I tried to fend off a Compact Flash card in the

Dell Media Card Reader included in Dell Bluetooth Package

All up to this that pushed back in the case. Is this just a missing screw? I need to disassemble the case anyway to put a 2nd 500G Sata Drive, that I just bought.

How can I get advice?

Thank you

    Hi MButIer,

-How long have you had this problem?
-Was any change in software because the computer before the show?

    Follow the steps mentioned below:

    Step 1:

Temporarily disable the antivirus software (and any other security software) and the firewall on the computer as a test. Once disabled check if you can connect to the internet without any error.

If disabling the antivirus software solves the problem, you may need to configure the settings of the antivirus as a result program. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.

Note: Make sure that you enable the antivirus software, other security and firewall programs.

    Warning

Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

Perform a System Restore to a point before the show and check if this solves the problem.

  • limit of 4 GB of ram in Inspiron 530 s?

Hello. I wanted to upgrade the ram in my inspiron 530 s and I read online that the limit for the 530 s is 4 GB. However, I read that it is possible to have up to 8 GB of ram, if I am running 64-bit and my BIOS version is 1.0.12 or later version. Is this true?

If so, what type of ram you would recommend getting.

Inspiron 530 s ORY007 motherboard supports 4 GB RAM, 8 GB, you need a card mother 0FM586, which is installed in the high-end Inspiron 530 mini tour.

  • Inspiron 530 video upgrade question card

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 has. It has all the pieces of stock right now, but I'll put a core 2 duo E7400 in there when it happens. The next issue is that I need a video card for it. What is the best card that can be put in it without an upgrade to the PSU, yet? The power supply will not be upgraded for awhile. The motherboard is the G33M02, not 03 version version. He seems to have the 1.0.15 installed BIOS version, I will update as soon as I have the chance. It has not always been connected even to install an operating system - came empty (just bought from a wholesaler of machines of companies).

Edit - forgot the bios information.

Forget the 8400 GS.  This card is too old and has little to offer with regard to the performance of the game.  The HD 6450 or 610 GT are the best cards. The minimum requirement to play Mechwarrior online is the HD 6450 and the GT 610 offers similar performance.  If you want something better without too much spending, I'd recommend getting the HD 6570 HERE.  This card would have much better performance of game at the expense of others.

  • Inspiron 530 question

I just got a Dell Inspiron 530. It currently has a Dual Core e2140 with 1 GB of RAM to processor. I tried swapping on the HD with my old HP system that has Windows 7 on it, but as soon as he gets to the Windows startup screen, it restarts and then restarts again and again. I start safe mode, but once it loads CLASSPNP.sys, it restarts. I'm stuck. I put a windows XP HD in it and its fine. I then did a fresh install of Windows 7 on hard drive that worked and everything was fine. I don't really want to not reformat my Window 7 HD, is there something that can be done? It works very well in the other system.

If you try to use a hard drive from an HP computer running W7 in a Dell Inspiron 530, it won't work, the differences between the two systems is too large, you will need to perform a clean reinstallation and load the appropriate drivers.

More you might have some problems with the product key of Microsoft [COA], depending on whether the copy of windows as a commercial version is complete, an OEM version or OEM copy of the manufacturer of the computer that was factory installed.

    Hello

I want to improve my 5130, I now inside the dual core cpu 4400(2.0 ghz).

    with a bios version 1.0.18.

Wath I whant is a new dual core, so no Q-base, because it is the ory007 .

I read that al almost the dual core cpu made, so my whas eye falling on the 7600(3.0 ghz).

now my question > is the Cpu, the only thing I have to buy and just put and go?

The next thing I have to do is to buy a new power supply, it is the subject of 300W.

and I whant to go to 500W ore more, with this one inside I can buy a video card better.

now I hace a gforce 9400gt 512 and I whant to go at least until the gt220 1gig or higher card...

Is there someone with the same setup that I have will and what kind of power supply is it then, and it also works ?

(this al is about 300 euros a new pc much more)

    Thanks in advance

With the Inspiron 530 ORY007 motherboard, you can use one of the following CPU

Intel Celeron 420 processor (1.6 GHz, 800 FSB)
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2140 (1.6 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2160 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 (2.5 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 (1.8 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 (2.0 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 (1.86 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 (2.13 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 (2.33 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2.66 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 (2.80 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (3.0 GHz, 1333 MHz FSB)

Respect to the power supply, with the Inspiron 530 Mini Tower, you can use more generic standard ATX power supplies, with a power connector 24 pin 20 + 4 pin card or mother main, with or without the on/off switch.

You should be able to buy a compatible power supply either a local computer or online store.

Note: You need a diet with four SATA power connectors.

  • Issue on Inspiron 530 MOBO replacement

First I want to apologize because I bet that a lot of people before me came before ask exactly the same question, but I need to hear it straight from the mouth of the horse to clear doubts I may, besides I did search for similar topics on the dell forum and cela and nothing conclusive why after pondering for months I should do yet another topic related to dell inspiron 530 or not , but I have finally decided to bite the bullet and we are here. As the title suggests I have questions about the replacement of my dell inspiron 530 mobo broke, it's the G33m02 who, what little research, I can only take up to 4gbs of ram, or 8 gb according to the interviewee (and where is my star doubts) and cannot stand other processors core 2 duo like the one he had, however I have read somewhere in the dell forum that case made for dell computers may have other mobos dell for the same model computer, for example a 530's (which apparently have been sold only in China) motherboard can be replaced by a 530 ordinary because of the PIN and connectors and a few other tech mumbo jumbo that goes completely over my head and I was wondering if I could replace my dell inspiron for a G33M03 or DG33M03 so G33m02 I can also upgrade the processor now that I have access to the core 2 quad processors and 8gbs of ram for some, again, I am sorry I have to do yet another of them because what I saw thousands of people had doubts about this but none appeared to be conclusive enough for me
Edit: Also, I forgot to ask, can I just buy a. G33M03 or DG33M03 MOBOs or not be a manufactured by Dell, also, these two are my only two choice in addition to become another G33M02? Again, I am really sorry and thank you for taking the time to read this

    SETH VALENTINET

The G33m02 is a [cheaper] depopulated version of the motherboard that has only a voltage regulator IC 6, rather than regulators 11 voltage on the motherboard G33m03, that supports the processors Core 2 Duo and Quad Core.

The card mother G33m02 can be replaced by the motherboard G33m03, but food must also be replaced by a unit 350w +, instead of the default 300w unit installed with the card mother G33m02.

Inspiron motherboards are built by Foxconn for exclusive specifications of Dell.

With regard to the installation of a non Dell motherboard, probably best to use a motherboard specs Dell, as the BIOS accept software OEM Dell, for example operating systems, more it will match the cabling of the Panel Connectors front chassis Dell.

PS, I still have an old Inspiron 530 MT of 9 years, with a G33m02 motherboard was updated with hybrid hard drives, Windows 10 and an e8600 LGA 775 processor

  • Inspiron 530 s CPU Upgrade - why some Dual Core and not others?

    Hi all

Inspiron 530 s been chugging along fine (although strong), but has now been replaced, so decided to take a look inside, radiator & fan felt loose so unscrewed it and he lifted directly out absolutely no resistance, so I think that the cpu and the radiator cleaning and put thermal paste on would be a good idea.

When I opened it, I thought that I might as well upgrade the processor as older bicoeur are going for about $10-15 here, (he currently has a 1.87? double heart in it), so I got a reading of the forum to find what was possible

    from the bottom of post

    quote - shesageordie

Inspiron 530 s has a mother FoxConn G33m02 meets the specifications of Dell and will support the following Socket LGA 775 processors:

    Processor Intel Celeron 430
Intel Celeron 420 processor (1.6 GHz, 800 FSB)
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2140 (1.6 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

    Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 (2.5 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 (2.80 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)
    Wolfdale Core 2 Duo E8400, 3.0 GHz, 6 MB, 1333 MHz FSB, 65W, E0

    Wolfdale Dual-Core Kit, E8600 3.33 GHz, 6 MB, 1333 MHz FSB, 65W, E0

Also, Intel Pentium E6500 2.93 GHz processor dual core.

Before installing the processor, that you should check that you have BIOS Version 1.0.15 or above, when support for the new Intel processor has been added.

Note: The Quad Core 2 processors are not supported by the Inspiron 530 s [Slimline]

    Bev.

    Theres now my problem

Seem some of the processors used cheap available locally does not not at these figures (and they seem to be somewhat of Eug than those that match)

for example the E8200 E6850, E7200, what of these processors prevents them from working?

And as a note aside will upgrade the radiator and the fan, if I get a different processor?

    Nigelt74

The E7200 and E8200 are 65w/45nm Wolfdale processors and should work.

The E6850 is a 65w/65nm Conroe and will not work

There should be no need to replace the entire radiator/fan of the 530 Inspiron s, but remember to check the version of the BIOS before installing the processor.

As you already have a Yorkfield Quad Core Q8200 2.33 GHz, 4 MB, 1333FSB installed, then the card mother must be the version 0FM586 of FoxConn G33m03/Dell P/N and the Yorkfield Quad Core Q9650 3.00 GHz, 12 MB, 1333 MHz FSB, should work fine.

You should check what version of motherboard.

The Inspiron 530 has two variants of motherboards, made by Foxconn and based on the G33M series.

The G33M02 supports up to processors Core 2 Duo and the DG33M03 that supports the processors Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Quad.

Inspiron 530 systems sold with Pentium Dual-Core or Core 2 Duo processors cannot be upgraded to Core 2 Quad processors without adding at least a 350W power supply and swap the motherboards to the DG33M03 version.

The G33M02 does not support processors Core 2 Quad is because he has 6 ICs, the DG33M03 voltage regulator has 11.

Note: Before upgrading the processor, make sure you have BIOS Version 1.0.15 or a more recent version, when support for the new Intel processor has been added.

The Foxconn G33m02 [Dell P/N ORY007] motherboard, supports a maximum of 4 GB of RAM DDR2, 530 Mini Tower with a Foxconn G33m03 motherboard systems can support 8 gb (4 x 2 GB modules).

530 s Dell 'Slimline' systems have a Foxconn G33m02 motherboard which only supports a maximum of 4 GB [either4 x modules of 1 GB or 2 x 2 GB modules].

Note also for Windows to recognize 4 GB more memory, you must have a 64-bit operating system installed.

  • Inspiron 530 Win XP Home does not start with the TrendNet wireless card

I just received 5/1 a refurbished Inspiron 530 530 Mini-Tower desktop: Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q6600 (8 MB L2 cache, 2.4 GHz, 1066FSB) Genuine Windows XP Home Edition. The PC didn't have any LAN card and I intend to use a working adapter TrendNet (COMPUSA) 54 Mbps Wireless G PCI I used very well with my old 4300 Dim run also Win XP Home. However, after that I booted up the new PC with the first series, I stopped him. I then opened and installed the card wireless in one of the 2 empty PCI slots. When I turned on the PC, surprise! The PC wouldn't start - it kept beeping with the glowing orange of front power button and turn off every two seconds, I then read the Inspiron 530 manual means that the motherboard has detected an error. Hello. I checked.

I searched other posts in this forum and I've seen a few references to the boot configuration verification. However, installation of starting my PC doesn't have an option related to the wireless adapter.

Someone help me please fix this error. I intend to reconnect the card on my old PC wireless again and start just to prove that the card is always good. I only removed a card video of him and the rest of the asis. (I've not carpet in my house is that reduces my chances to have fried the card when you remove or install.) I also touch the chassis of the PC before doing anything.)

  • Game: Inspiron 530 or 530 s?

    Hello
I decided to buy a new computer mainly for playing PC games. The only problem is there are two computer and I do not know what you choose.
    Here are the two:
    INSPIRON 530 (£399)
Processor Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (3.00 GHz, 1333 MHz, 6 MB cache)
Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 32-bit - English
    Display not included
256 MB ATI® Radeon HD 2400 XT graphics card
    3072 MB 800 MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM (2 x 1024 + 2 x 512)
640 GB (7200 RPM) SATA hard drive
    DVD +/-RW drive (read/write CD & DVD)

    INSPIRON 530 S (£429)
Processor Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (3.00 GHz, 1333 MHz, 6 MB cache)
Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 32-bit - English

I don't know which because all that I know is the £399 we have a better processor, but told me what's important is the graphics card and I is not sure which is the best.

  • Inspiron 530 - (11) - after machine was a rumour - exact same noise and it repeats-Possibly the fan?

    Greetings,

I'd appreciate any help with the following: despite the age of the machine, it is always hanging there pretty well, except that recently, it makes a noise very characteristic and very regular repeating itself over and over again, when the unit is turned on for a while, and when a program or a bigger game is used.

When the device is just on, or when simple programs or functions are like surfing the internet I don't hear the noise.

I don't think that this very characteristic sound, there is really no real significant problem. -J' did some DELL online diagnostics, and shows nothing until now I ran a problem.

2 questions: (1) do you think that maybe it's the fan and if so, there is no test on the machine, I can run, specifically for the fan? I was not able to find when I looked through the various components, you can test (when you press F12 at restart and go to utilities/partitions. I saw a list of just about everything you can test, except for the fan. (read something about "net to be able to test the fan it") have not yet used the DELL diagnostic cd

    (2) alternative source of noise or other tests?

(unit is no longer in warranty)

Thanks a lot for your help!

I think that the Dell Diagnostics has a test for the case fans and radiator.

What version of BIOS you have installed?

Without knowing the source of the noise, it really not advice that can be given.

Better to remove the cover, start the system and see if you can trace the source of the noise, the Inspiron 530 MT has many fans, radiator, power and possibly one on the graphics card, if installed.

Usually, I check out fans, using a wooden pencil to turn the fan to turn for a few seconds to see if the noise stops.

Check also any accumulation of dust inside the box/fans/radiator fins and cooling air inlets located inside the bezel/cover.
