Unfortunately, when you buy a computer that comes with Windows to the computer manufacturer OEM is responsible for providing the installation media.

You can ask your friends to lend you one if they.

original title: HOW I CAN UNINSTALL LINUX OPERATING SYSTEM

If there is absolutely nothing on the disk you want, just format the drive and install Windows XP:

    1. start from the CD. You may need to change the first boot to a CD device in the BIOS. To do this, when you switch on the look for a configuration message indicating what key to start typing, F2 and del are commonly used. The message appears for very long and it you miss, you have to restart the computer. In the BIOS, look for a section that contains the boot sequence, change it to CD, save it and let the computer to restart.

    2. the installation sequence is answering the message press any key to boot from the CD, and then press ENTER to set up Windows, press F8 to accept the EULA, delete the partition, press ENTER, type L to confirm delete, type C to create a partition, choose (Quick) format. Then begins the installation and restart will therefore ignore the subsequent message to press any key to boot from the CD-ROM.

    3. actual installation will begin and takes about 30 minutes. Finally, download all the missing Windows service packs and other updates.

  • ENVY of HP dv7 Notebook PC: install Windows 8 discs HP

I just ny laptop from HP repair center a week ago and I already had to perform a system reset.  I tried to reset my laptop and the message I got was, ' cannot reset no, because no disk partition detected ".  I called HP and they could not help, they told me that I have to reinstall Windows 8 and they post the discs to me.  HP blamed the problem of the partition on the fact that I had Windows 8 is installed and then I downloaded Windows 8.1 store Windows and it screwed in place the parition.  This answer has any sense at all to me.

As I mentioned earier, HP is mailing me new Windows 8 discs. However, the technical support representative HP told me that the discs do not come with a product key.  How can I perform a clean installation without Windows product key?

Yes at the time the upgrade of the OS is corrupt or delete the recovery partition, especially when it formats the disk.  It is always better to create recovery disks when you get the computer.

The key of Windows 8 is embedded in the BIOS and not need to know the key when you reinstall, the installation will recognize the key.  If you want to know what your key, download Belarc Advisor, and it will give you all kinds of information about your computer: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

It is best to upgrade to 8.1 Windows because it is more stable and with the new Windows 10 to come this year you will be eligible to get the free update if you are running 8.1

  • Do I have to do a clean install of Windows 7 upgrade disc?

    Hello

I use a retail version upgrade of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on a desktop PC, I've implemented myself 4 years ago.  I have upgraded to Windows XP then.

I think I would buy a new card mother and CPU in another year and I hope that my current installation of Windows 7 on my hard drive (fairly recent) current will be able to start with the new MB and CPU - and just to require new drivers for chipset.  However, I know that this will not work and I might have to reformat the drive and do a clean install of Windows 7.  I'll be able to do it from my Windows 7 upgrade installation disc?

Unfortunately, I got rid of my old XP drive because I'm moving soon and I threw it without thinking.  Do I need to reinstall Windows 7?  I still have my old XP serial number and product key, and of course, my Windows 7 product key and serial number.  Also, I have an old system repair disc and could make another if this will help.  Thanks for your advice.

  • The clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 without installation disc.

    Hello

I recently bought a Toshiba laptop with a Home Premium Windows 7 x 64 preload version.  It has not come with a Windows installation disc.  I want to reformat the hard drive and put on a clean version of the same operating system.   Right now my only solution is to find someone with a disk or an iso.  Which turns out to be harder than I thought.   Is it possible to make an image of Win 7 Win 7 without having to make a picture?

I also own a copy of Windows 7 pro x 64.  Can I use this disc to install, with the key of Win 7 Home Premium?

    Thank you

    FatherFinch

If you perform a "clean" of Windows 7 Home Premium installation, you will need to buy Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  Someone else using Windows 7 disk is not allowed under the terms of the license Microsoft Softrware.

Q: I also have a copy of Windows 7 pro x 64. Can I use this disc to install with Win 7 Home Premium key?

  • disc instalation for windows 7 ends

I got my windows 7 stolen instalation disc and the stolen desktop drive, so regarding the upgrade to windows 8 will I have a problem

Windows 7 and Office are still installed, could you simply retrieve the product keys:

Here are four utilities, which can display your product keys if they are still there:
    Belarc Advisor: http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
(He did a good job of providing a wealth of information.)

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/24/how-to-backup-your-installation-of-Windows-7/

In order to install Windows 8 Pro upgrade, you must first reinstall your original version of Windows that has been run on your computer before installing the Windows 8 Preview version. If it's (Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7). After installing it, you can then do a upgrade to Windows 8 Pro. The output preview Windows 8 does not support upgrades to Windows 8 Pro. Windows 8 Pro will be available October 26, 2012.

  • My hard drive crashed and the only disk operating system that I can find is my Windows 7 upgrade disk. Can I do a full install on a blank disc of this?

My title pretty much sums up my problem.

I need to buy a new hard drive.  All I have is the Windows 7 upgrade disk I bought for some time.  I can the Windows 7 installed on this drive, or I have to buy a copy of Vista/XP to install and upgrade?

If your computer comes with a qualifying previous license such as Windows Vista or Windows XP and the certificate of authenticity is still attached to the machine in good condition, then the COST is reason enough to represent the compliance to the software license agreement. No previous required software installation, which means you can do a clean install with Windows 7 Upgrade disk.

  • Question seeks to clean install 10 Windows on the drive of the merger. El Capitan.

Problem: try a clean install of Windows 10 via the Boot Camp Assistant on an iMac 27 inches (Late2013) with 10.11.4 installs hours (more than 8 hours) and then failed to install Boot Camp updates. Essentially installation take much long than normal and cannot install updates of the Apple software or create normally start Windows Boot Camp 10.

Background: After problems of slowing down after upgrading to 10.11.4 (with improved Bootcamp Windows 10) who had previously worked fine for 10 months, to the point of a start of OS X time, I decided to do a clean install of my iMac with Fusion 3 to disk.

As I was unable to remove the partition from Boot Camp through BCA because of his holding always at the same load, I used Internet recovery and reset the Fusion drive. This then required me to repair the partition of Fusion by car through THE "fix" option which seems to work very well. And reinstalled OS X 10.11.4 which works fine now (delays etc..)

Try using BCA to create a new partition Boot Camp and a clean Windows 10 install after downloading an image of disk W10 directly from Microsoft (Win10_1511_1_English_x64), BCA by downloading software updates and by selecting the desired partition, it began to restart and initialize the installation. However the whole process has been very slow, each step takes much longer than usual, to progress. Leave for hours rest a blank screen or with a circle of rotation.

I tried with another stick USB 3 and also a USB 2 stick, but none has made a difference.

In the last attempt, I left running overnight and after 8-9 hours, he finally reaches the top of desktop Windows 10 and the update of Apple Bootcamp starts to load updates. However, he just hung and even after 2 hours, nothing was. Reboot and try once again has been the same.

After that I tried to create a Windows Installer via BCA 8.0 however it gives just a TPG error when you try to select the drive (due to el Capitan I guess?)

After four days of efforts, I'm a loser on how to get the Windows 10 on the Boot Camp partition. I can't even install W8 and upgrade due to the error of TPG.

Any help or suggestions how to proceed with the diagnostic / resolution of the problem would be appreciated.

    Details:

    System: iMac (27 inch, end of 2013), 3.4 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 M 4096 MB, OS X 10.11.4

    • Nothing other than the keyboard and mouse attached via the USB ports, as well as the key USB of BCA. No other attached devices.
    • Reset memory NVRAM, SMC and ran more than once disk utility. No problem not reported.  Ran NVRAM reset before each attempt.
    • At ran EtreCheck report which seemed OK.
    • Verification of diagnosis ran who is childless.

A detail I noticed after the merger by car there are now two Macintosh HD images when you use boot option. One previously. Are named "Macintosh HD" and "Macintosh HD2". I remember being Yosemite simultaneously in three, but which has been fixed in an update.

In addition, it seems that no recovery partition. Cmd + R lance Internet recovery.

In the meantime, auto update of the W10 appears a message saying that the updated graphics drivers as one of the few messages or actions during this period. Looks like Nvidia install with the entire package of experience (unwanted) etc. and very probably not the correct gpu driver.

Finally deciding to cancel the installation of BC by killing the Setup.exe process. Then copy Boot camp install files on the desktop. Lasts 30 minutes to copy. Run again and this time, although taking 15-20 minutes to download and install later with the success message.

Check the graphic driver it shows a yellow exclamation mark, so the following Microsoft instructions I use the uninstall option via the device and then Manager (slowly) come on board to load and download the latest Nvidia driver on their site for the GTX 780 M for 64-bit W10 etc. The same thing that I had used previously. Slow with running the Nvidia Setup program again, but eventually it works only to say that he could not install as unrecognized graphics device...

He ends up with Microsoft PnP driver so it's at least sufficient start and run it again BC of the figure updates as all other drivers have been installed. To restart, but I get an error of K-Mode that is most likely related to this driver graphic and not possible to start in the new W10 Boot Camp partition after 7 hours.

I have a picture of W10 backup recovery (WindowsImageBackup) I've had in a few weeks, but it will not install bet for the installed W10. I try with the ACO created the USB windows but can't seem to get a way to get into recovery mode and to get the menu to install it. I don't have a way to create a USB W10 recovery key now because my other Mac has just installed W7.

Finally I tried to count a reset of the Recovery boot up option but it seems that it will take longer to start.

I also went to the recovery and selected Boot Mode safe, but it opens on an empty black window and he's here doing nothing.

Looks like I'll have to restart on via BCA and reinstall and try and solve the problem of graphics in order to install driver updates from BC and restart to W10 and hope that with the drivers, it returns to the operation and the normal starting time. Then update the gpu driver.

I used and installed Boot Camp several times with over the years including previously an upgrade of W8.1 > W10 I used for over 6 months without problem. I've never known these installation very long or ice once in Windows even for the initial start upward.

For any help or suggestion would be appreciated, and this seemingly simple process has now expanded to five days.

  • Install the Windows own 8.1 to want Phoenix 810-230qe?

I just bought a HP Envy Phoenix 810-230qe with Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.  It's my first HP system and so far I was impressed by the HP control process, fast delivery and the computer itself from what I can tell so far.   However, I have a question.  How must we do to do a clean install of Windows 8.1, without all the additional software that comes standard with the system?

With my previous Dell systems, I have always asked for a Windows DVD and I downloaded the necessary additional drivers from Dell.  I bought a set of HP System Recovery install discs are expected to be able to do a cleanup, but unless I'm missing something, I don't see any options for loading just the Windows operating system and the related system drivers.  I see there are a few available through HP suspport drivers, but not all that are necessary and I see still no way to do just installing the OS.

How is that possible?  Thank you...

    Hello

You have the Win 8.1 drivers on your PC now located in the folder in C:\SWSETUP.

Copy this folder to an external drive for use later when necessary.

I don't know if you can download the 8.1 Win. ISO from Microsoft with an OEM product key. You couldn't do that when downloading win 8. You need a detail or, I think, a upgrade product key.

If you have a retail key to win 8 you can Win 8.1 free download here.

I would like to delete the stuff you want via programs and features and then create acustom Refresh Image. Then, if you need to recover, use the IRC with no expansion of the seller. Create an image of Microsoft System or use third-party imaging software.

  • Clean install of Windows 7 on Satellite L655

I have a Satellite L655 and replace the HDD with a SSD (2 sheets) system (more small capacity, 1 partition). I also want to do a clean install of Windows 7.

I'll be able to use the recovery disc for this? If so, will I have to reactivate? Thank you.

What exactly do you want: clean windows installation or by using the disk Toshiba recover?

I mean own installation only the Windows operating system using the Microsoft Win 7 disc.
This installation requires a valid serial key.

But using the Toshiba recovery disc requires no any key since the BONES of the window is already enabled on this drive.
