Install from CD
I have an old CD I used successfully to install a program on a computer, WIN7 PRO. I then tried to install the same program in another WIN 7 Pro upgraded to WIN 10. The computer told me that the CD had a bad sector or had a virus.
Can someone explain what is happening?
Thank you
Problem is solved somehow. The Win 7 system is authentic. The office Pro 2003 is genuine. I tried to load the software on another WIN 10 update win 7. Upgrade win 10 system showed the error. I tried to recharge on my Win 7 without problem. It was a test to see if I can load programs on a 10 upgrade victory. The question is still open.

My laptop with Windows XP home (2002, upgraded to SP3), crashed after almost 10 years of perfect service. Then I reinstalled my OS (not OEM, bought and paid for a full installation of Windows XP Home, 2002), and after 3 hands hours hardware controllers and drivers, installation was finally able to connect to internet to make updates on Windows XP and hardware. Arriving at Windows Update of the site, I realized that I couldn't do web updates up-to-date, because my old version of Windows. It will not be updated to SP3, because I need SP1 or higher. So, I tried to download and install SP1a. Error says that I can not reach the server. So, I download SP1a on my other computer, burn a CD and try to install SP1a directly from CD. Now, I get an error message stating "error installing SP1a, unable to reach the server. Try again when you have access to the web... Hello! I'm not trying to install from the web... why this message? I even made my computer has been getting a good connection ethernet, just in case my computer needed to communicate with? While my computer has been updated by CD.
It's probably something simple, but I'm frustrated. Help when the first thing I see on the Microsoft Update site is a special page, telling me that I am not able to update Windows. Help, please!
You must use this upgrade path:Gold XP to XP SP2 to XP SP3.Note that installing SP1a is TOTALLY USELESS! (Not only that, the file available these days is EVIL, because you knew.)Here are the detailed instructions:1. download the installation files from SP2, SP3, IE8 and Microsoft Security Essentials, which is an effective antivirus/antimalware program. I prefer to keep these on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:
http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=28 (for SP2)
http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)
(You can TOTALLY ignore the message "intended for it professionals"!)
http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/products/security-essentials (for MMS)
2. disconnect Internet.
3. temporarily disable the automatic updates.
4. install SP2. Restart twice.
5 install the SP3. Restart twice.
6 switch to IE8. Restart twice.
7 install an Antivirus software.
(What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).
8 make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should be).
(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet.)
9 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates.
10 re - enable automatic updates.

Clean install from the recovery partition
Hi all
I had a lot of problems with Vista. In a different thread, it was recommended that I have do a CLEAN install, but not from the disc, but rather from the recovery partition. I have a Dell Studio XPS 435mt. I see the possibility to do a factory reset, but I don't know how to do the clean install from the recovery partition.Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!Hello
The Dell recovery partition resettlement process will reinstall Vista configuration; in other words, the way in which you bought it new.
Here is the information from Dell on how to use the recovery partition.
And here's how to use the Dell recovery disk.
See you soon.

Can I install from a Windows Vista Ultimate Edition retail disc?
My laptop hard drive has failed, I can install from a disk of Vista Ultimate retail and then save it with my OEM product key that came with the laptop, as the recovery DVD does not recognize the new hard drive?
Yes, but more than likely you will have "activate by phone".

Solution Center cannot be found. Install from a valid copy of the installation package
Original title: "Solution Center"
I'm having a problem with the Solution Center, and this window pop up on the screen says it is impossible to find and install from a valid copy of the installion package. I have not all copies of the operating system. The computer came loaded with all that.
What can I do?
It is built into the operating system. There is no separate download or the available installation option. I suggest that you contact the manufacturer of the computer for a set of recovery disc (for a small fee) and with those, you should be able to re - install Vista back to the center of Solution - or maybe they will sell you a copy cheap real Installation of Vista disc. Remember using recovery discs is as a new installation, so you need to back up everything that you want to save (your data at least) that the process will wipe the drive clean of everything. An image backup will not help as it will scan the newly installed Solution Center when it restores. You may be able to make your own disks if you have a recovery Partition - ask the manufacturer to this topic too and how to do it if possible.
Another option is to borrow a disk for Installation of Vista genuine in the same size of the bit and use it to make a repair/update that will preserve your data, programs and settings (a MUCH better option if you can borrow a disk from anyone or get a good price from the manufacturer, if they even offer it). He will know the correct version of the product key. Then make a copy for yourself 'for next time"because they are not protected against copying.
You can reach the center of online solutions to the: http://support.microsoft.com/ph/11732#tab0. It is not exactly the same as installed with Vista, but it doesn't do a good job and can serve your needs if you don't like or are not alternatives.
Here is the Microsoft policy on the replacement of the software; http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246 which is essentially what I said just above (and some additional information).
I hope this helps.
Good luck.

I have windows 7 ultimate works correctly. I want to install windows 7 arc gamer edition. I m using the new copy to install from dvd, he is well until the installation of the updates but the installation finished, it displays error windows could not update the configuration to start the computer. not installing and it rolls supports everything. Please help me solve this problem
original title: windows 7 gamer editionDownload of software on these sites can be very risky, because the origin of the files are usually edited and its quite possible that they could have injected malicious code in it.
Windows 7 Gamer edition is not a developed Microsoft or affiliated with the product, what appears to be a customized image of Windows 7 that authors customized to remove or add Windows components, which can also be very problematic.
You use something that no one can help you consider he has probably been reverse engineered and probably injected by a malicious code like spyware (keyloggers, rootkits, worms, viruses). I suggest you stick to Windows 7 Ultimate, this is the most complete edition of Windows 7, anyone can have.

I have Windows 7 Edition home premium installed 32-bit update. How can I upgrade to 64-bit? Will there be problems of validation so I re-install from scratch?
If you have purchased a retail package, it should include the disk for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Otherwise, you can download a backup copy at the following link and use the same product key that allows you to enable the 32-bit version. Its a possibility, you may need to reactivate by phone, see below for instructions:
You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.
Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.
Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
(5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
(6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.
