Cannot get the error when installing Web Logic 10.3.3 and Oracle Fusion 11.1.1.2.
Web logic seems to be installed very well.

(1) first of all installed Java Developer Toolkit v23. JDK-6u23-windows - x 64 .exe 13/12/2010 10:16

(2) and then installed Web Logic Server 10.3.3: wls1033_win32.exe 2010-12-16 14:47
Used custom installation
Has not installed Oracle coherence
He installed the SUN SDK 1.6.0_18 & Oracle Rockit 1.6.0_17 SDK
Installed to: c:\oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3

(3) then began to Oracle Fusion 11.1.1.2: Setup.exe
While we install the patch to join 11.1.1.3
We clicked on "Install & Configure '.
Click on "install the software - do not configure. It check the physical memory and the OS cert.
He tried to install it at c:\oracle\middleware

It gets to the point where it asks me to specify the installation location. I enter c:\oracle\middleware.
Oracle home dir is: as_1. I press NEXT.
I get the INST07408 error on step 4 of 8.

I am at a loss, not sure what to try more. We have had this job once, about a year, it's the same facility as at the time and apparently nothing has changed in the operating system or Oracle. We were testing on Win 7 so now we go to Prod with this and it does not install.

Check the MOS score:

INST-07408: cannot install or configure the product on a virtual machine JAVA 32 bit on a 64-bit [1074666.1 ID] computer

Seems that you have installed 32-bit WLS and tries to install Fusion MW of 64-bit.

I try to install Oracle Business Intelligence 11g (11.1.1.6.0 to be exact), but when I chose the location of the installation (which is the middleware House) and press next to continue, I get the error: INST-07408: cannot install or configure the product on a virtual machine JAVA 32 bit on a 64-bit computer.

I try to install using the " " "x 86-64-bit Microsoft Windows ' installation software and my pc is 64-bit."

The weblogic I installed is generic. When I started the installation, is a 32 bit JDK, so when I got the error, I downloaded and installed jdk1.7.0_45 and changed cmd weblogic scripts to point to the jdk instead.

When I start the weblogic administration server, I see in logging that 64-bit is used:

from weblogic with the Java version:

    Java version "1.7.0_45".

Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_45 - b18)

Java for 64-bit Server VM (build 24.45 - b08, mixed mode)

I also put the JAVA_HOME to the new jdk.

    But the problem remains.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Sigrid

I discovered what the problem was. As my weblogic initially was set to use JRockit (32-bit), the. product.properties file im my wlserver_10.3 file was referring still to JRockit.
When I changed that to point to the correct JDK, finally Setup not to complaint no more. Then, obviously, the installer examines the. product.Properties folder although weblogic certainly runs by using the 64-bit JDK.

Original title: I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L305-S5894 with Windows Vista Home Premium installed (32 bit).  Unable to get a backup to a flash drive.

After back back, very many updates of windows, my computer is full of problems and it is not representative of the restore points far enough back to correct.  I want really to save my data and programs for flash drive (s) and then go for a full recovery of the system (return to factory).  When you try to do the backup on a 4 GB USB key I get an error including 0 x 81000029.  I have seen posted answers to this.  Everything is included to aid Vista disk from the window which was not included when I bought my computer. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

The following article should be useful. To use system recovery options, you have Vista installation disc. OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) repeatedly will install on the computer Windows recovery environment. To cross check if it is installed, try the following steps.

1 start the computer and press the F8 key continuously to get advanced boot menu options.
    2. on the menu advanced startup options, check if the Startup Repair tool is in the list.
    3. If so, select it and press ENTER.
    4. If not, then you should organize a Vista installation disc.

It won't hurt to run in 32-bit mode. The software must not offer a mode 64-bit as well.

I have installed VM workstation on my windows 7 pro 64-bit system with ram to 8 GB with an Intel Core 2 cpu 6300 1.86 GHz.

I then install the ESX4.1.0 construction 348481 inside the virtual machine workstation. Then, I go to my other system and connect with vSphere.

msg.cpuid.noLongmodeQuestionFmt: this virtual machine is configured for 64-bit operating systems. However, the 64-bit mode is not possible.

This host does not support VT

    Continue without 64 bit support?

Why this happens upward when the system is 64 bit, and I have no problem if I install the host of Type 1 (on the hardware itself), then I can run and install 64 bit comments without any problem.

It's in my lab because I'm studying for VCP and I try laboratories as the laboratory of CBT nuggets.

    Any suggestion on this issue.

    Thank you

VT is not passed through a system of comments, so you can run nested 64 bit guests on the virtualized ESX(I) hosts.

    So can I install 64-bit Windows 2008 workstation runnining on W7 32?

On another note, the workstation system will be the same under W7 64 on W7 32?

I have 4 GB of ram, so I know I'll get some of this back, but I'm really happy with my computer right now, my working conditions normal I have 2 virtual machines running without loss of significant performance on the main pc or virtual machines.

  • Can I install 32-bit windows 8 on 64-bit Windows 7 home pre. Herbert

Can I install 32-bit windows 8 on Windows 7 64 bit home premiun

    Hi Nathan,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

According to the description, it looks like you want to install Windows 8 32 on a 64-bit computer.

Yes, but you can do this using Upgrade Wizard. If your PC has a 64-bit compatible processor (CPU), but is running a 32-bit version of Windows, you can install a 64-bit version of Windows 8 Pro, but you will need to buy it on DVD and perform a custom installation. It is available in your country or region, you can buy Windows 8 Pro at a participating retail store. You can also buy online at the Microsoft Store in Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States.

Please note that the Windows 8 Pro Pack is used for the upgrade of Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and is not for the installation of multiple architectures and doesn't include any media. If you want to change the architectures, buy Windows 8 Pro.

You will not be able to keep all the files, settings, or the apps when you upgrade a 32-bit to a 64-bit version.

Visit the link to see the same thing:

See "Can I move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows 8" link and check:

I have Windows 7 Edition home premium installed 32-bit update. How can I upgrade to 64-bit? Will there be problems of validation so I re-install from scratch?

If you have purchased a retail package, it should include the disk for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Otherwise, you can download a backup copy at the following link and use the same product key that allows you to enable the 32-bit version. Its a possibility, you may need to reactivate by phone, see below for instructions:

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

I have a computer dell laptop, 4 GB of RAM, 32-bit operating system, x 64 based processor. The only problem is that I don't have my CD of 32-bit processor but I have a 64-bit processor CD, if I install 64-bit despite this condition?

    If Yes, then how?

    Hi Rohan,

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Communities.

I'll be happy to help you with the issue you have with Installation.

Yes, you can install 64-bit on a 32-bit processor. However to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version, you need to perform a "Custom" / Clean install because there is no 'Upgrade' path. ".

I suggest you back up all data before making a custom or a new installation of windows.

Hope this information is useful. Please report if you have any other questions. I'll be happy to help you.

    Thank you.
