OfficeJet 6600: flashing of the indicator wireless.

Why suddenly the button (the small blue button at the bottom of the printer interface) wireless starts to Flash? I'm usinga USBconnection.

It simply means that you are not connected to your wireless SSID router. Normal since you are connected USB. If you want you can disable the connection Wireless in the printer and it stops. Info is in the User Guide.

  • OfficeJet 6600 connects to the wifi network

    Hello

I bought an Officejet 6600 and effortlessly connected to my wifi network, print and scan for a day. And there are two days that he stopped conntecting to the wifi network. In the meantime, our router turned off and turned back on. That's the only difference.

First of all, the printer would not even detect the wifi network. I solved that by changing the configuration of the router (Cisco 3925 EPC) and passed under the Setup wireless "Wi - Fi protected setup" to "manual". I can now see the network on the printer again.

But after that I've selected my wifi network and enter the WPA password, the printer tells me that the network connection is impossible. I printed a page of diagnosis, which told me that the problem is perhaps related to the MAC filter. But I have no MAC filters. I also tried to pass of WPA/WPA2 to WPA only, but that doesn't change anything.

I also tried to set the mode wireless via the USB cable, but no avail. Everything seems to work, until the moment when he tries to connect to the wifi (screen with 'configuration' with the large antenna and pulses of radio waves).

Should I give up and bring it to the store? I'm getting desperate!

Thanks for your help in advance,

    Raphaël

OK, to make sure I understand - the printer connects effectively to your wireless network, and well it works for a while once the printer goes to sleep, your computer or router may not wake.

If this is the case there are a few things that we can try:

    1. in the settings of your router, make sure that the multicast is enabled.

    2. set the 2.4 GHz router to 11 channels.  I know it sounds weird, but please try.

    3. set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

I have a HP Officejet 6600. I replaced the black cartridge with a new HP black ink cartridge. This message keeps poping up, there is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn the printer off, then on. If the problem persists, contact HP. It gives me as two solutions. Solution 1: Reset the product. Turn the product off, and then unplug the power cord. Plug in the power cord and then press the key to activate the product. I've done this three times. Second solution: contact HP support note the error code provided in the email (I looked and it does not give me one) then he says, supported to contact Hp. go to: www.hp.com/support. Needless to say that this message keeps appearing on the screen of the printer and I can't do anything with the printer. Can anyone help with an idea? Please, I beg you.

    Hey @popcorn101,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you get the error "printer failure: there is a problem with the printer or ink system' on the front panel of your HP Officejet 6600 e-all-in-one printer.". Thanks for the troubleshooting steps that you received before reaching out for support, including. Right now, you have completed all the troubleshooting steps available in your efforts to solve this error in accordance with the document of support here. The failure itself is probably due to a failure of the print head. The print head is the part that the cartridges will fit. It controls the "reading" of the cartridges and put the ink on the page. If the print head does not, then the printing within your product system has failed. In this model of printer print head is a non-replaceable. Therefore, the resolution is a replacement of the entire unit.

The printer detects the wireless (2. 4 g) network, but can't coplete the connection. Tried the two direct input the network key and using WMA.

-The display panel shows "wireless invalid password (WPA) is entered.

-The results of network printer test page indicates a FAILURE on safety.

  • OfficeJet 4630 - by typing the password wireless

Can someone please tell me how to key in a passwork of capitals and numbers into the printer.  I can't find a way to do this.  everything happens in small letters.  I would really appreciate the help.

    Barbara

    Hello @bjallen929,

Thank you for visiting the Forums from the HP Support! I see that you are trying to enter the password for your network on your HP Officejet 4630 wireless. In order to get a capital letter, you have to keep hitting the number until it crosses the lower case and then the capitals.

Think of it as the old school SMS, T9 text. If you need a D Capital, keep typing the number 3, until you get the injector appropriate.

    I hope this helps.

If you need additional information, let me know.

The light continues to blink when the lid is down on the scanner. Is this normal? The sales representative at the store said it should not. It seemed that it was not in the store, so I exchanged for a new one, but when I traded my printer, it did the same thing.

No problem. HP printers are pretty good with make you aware of any problems with the device. If you had a problem with the printer, you know an error on the front panel.

  • "HP printer Assistant" for HP Officejet 6600 WON 'T run.

    Windows 7 64 bit

    NO error message

NO changes to the system until after it started then improved then just put update HP firmware

It worked yesterday.  When you have selected the "HP OfficeJet 6600" desktop on the desktop shortcut, he ran a sreen which allowed you to print, scan, fax, showed levels of ink, etc.

Now: he comes up with a window of 'Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers\HP Officejet 6600' that offers you 4 choices and the one that seems to offer printing/scanning, IE. "HP printer aSsistant"... which has no effect when you select.

IF you right click on "HP printer Assistant" on this screen, it gives you the possibility to make a shortcut.  The shortcut created and has properties where the 'target' is never developed so that you can not even say that he's not trying to run.

    Upgrading of the Roque?

    Hello world!

I called customer service and talked to a nice girl named Stephanie.  She was very helpful and tried exactly the same things I did the week last with the same results...  However, I decided to do another printer to the printer from my last more (410).

I sincerely advise guys to call directly, and your product is new, you will get a very good support and give advice on what to do.

We get a new printer and expect us it to work and HP understands that - simply call and your problems are more likely to be resolved here.

Guys good luck and I hope I never come back on this forum (I got a 2 year warranty on my new printer for $ 1)...

  • OfficeJet 6600: iPad suddenly can not find wireless HP printer.

iPad, suddenly cannot find a working HP officejet wireless printer!  He worked recently.

    Hey @dburbage,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.  I understand that you are unable to print from the iPad using your HP Officejet 6600 e-all-in-one printer.  I want to help you with this and can have steps that you need to restore this functionality.  What you describe, it seems that you use AirPrint.  I will answer my advice for this type of installation, but if you use ePrint, please let me know and I'll give the information you need.

You have confirmed that your printer is connected to your wireless network?  Button on the front panel of the printer the wireless icon and make sure that it is connected and displays an IP address.  If this isn't the case, run the Wireless Setup Wizard to restore connectivity.  If you are connected, powercycle your equipment as explained below:

    1. Unplug your modem/router
    2. Turn off your printer and your iPad
    3. Wait 60 seconds
    4. Plug in your modem/router back in and wait that he reconnect to internet
    5. Turn on your printer and once it starts up as normal, confirm that it is still connected to your wireless network
    6. Turn on your iPad

After completing these steps, you are able to connect your printer with the iPad?  Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post.

    Have a great day!
