Install Photoshop CS2 on Windows 7 with upgrade from Photoshop 6.0

Does anyone know how to install Photoshop CS2 on Windows 7 when it came to upgrade Photoshop 6.0? I have to move it to a new computer, since the old one crashed.

Your luck in a bit, given that adobe has taken offline for photoshop cs2 activation servers.

(you would not be able to activate the version cs2 upgrade)

So all you need to do is download no activation of photoshop cs2 and use the serial number on the download page.

Activation server stops for Creative Suite 2 and Acrobat 7 product Macromedia

Error: "Activation Server is not available. CS2, Acrobat 7, pass a hearing 3

  • Wiping Hard Drive, Reinstalled with Windows 7 with upgrade disk product key error

My computer has been acting upward, so I back up hard drive and erased the hard drive with the BACK CLEAN ALL command. I then reinstalled windows 7 from my Windows 7 Upgrade disk and restore my files on hard disk. The computer works fantastic and returned half of the memory of the hard drive. A few days later, I get a message on the screen that I have 30 days left until I can produce a product key from the original Windows installation, does not accept the upgrade product key.

I tried the product key located on the bottom of my laptop for Windows Vista comes with the HP computer. It does not work and it gave me no disk backup for Windows Vista from HP.

I called Microsoft and they told me to contact HP for the product key. I see on this forum that someone else has written a similar plea, because it is a plea, and HP said to contact Microsoft. In other words, Microsoft says to contact HP and HP says to contact Microsoft.

I use Microsoft since Windows 3.2 operating systems and have bought a lot of products of them. It's my 3rd HP laptop, my wife is on her 2nd HP laptop. Well you know what? If I don't get this resolved quickly by one of your companies, and I'm not remember Microsoft, I'm through the two of you.

I don't see where Microsoft is not being fooled off but when it's to the detriment of a loyal customer, so don't worry. HP is also responsible for this. An upgraded version of Windows 7 (to upgrade from Vista or XP) should be smart enough (and I thought it was) to remember that I had the original version and its product key should be enough. Also I don't never told me that I had to keep the old product keys, and it doesn't matter anyway because the product key is always available in my laptop HP, but it does not work.

I'm not buying another HP without your help and actually buying an Apple Mac for my wife and my next computer if it is not resolved. I think that HP is probably as bad as Microsoft so that it will not be solved and I'm not shelling out more money for something I already own.

  • How to install PS CS2 on Windows 7 64 bit?

Please do not advise to buy me or upgrade to upgrade to CS4, 5 or 6 Please!

I read that there is a certain way to install CS2 (or any 32-bit version of PS) on Windows 7 64 bit with success with a code in the folder "C:\progra~2\adobe" or... C:\Program~2\adobe...or the same code but with the backslashes in the opposite direction, as /.

I'm completely confused: why the first code say "progra" and abandon the 'm' and on the other say to spell "program" entirely?

WHICH is correct "progra' or 'issue' and how the slashes have to go?

I'm very non technical and do not understand how at all if someone can you please explain the installation in specific clear steps to insert the CD at the end?

I've seen a member named Marian Driscoll post on this installation, but do not understand how to do every step of the way.

I need a new PC and thought I would be forced to get a used Windows XP machine to use CS2 but prefer to get Windows 7 64 bit but won't unless I install PS CS2 on it successfully.

Can someone please help with detailed installation instructions using this code floder?

Thank you very much, I'm desperate!

The reason for the use of progra ~ 2 on a 64-bit system when installing a 32-bit application is the 8 character limit imposed by Windows. PROGRA ~ 2 totals up to 8 characters, program ~ 2 is 9

    You have 2 options:

    1. in the installation, change your path to C:\progra~2\... and install it. It should work.

2 copy Setup on your local drive. The right click on Setup.exe, properties > Compatibility tab > run in compatibility mode. The choice of XP SP2. Click OK. Run Setup.exe

    Either we have to work.

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

Have you tried to boot from the disk and make a custom installation?

Boot from the DVD Windows 8

    Click Install now

    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 8 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:

The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.

(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • Cannot update Windows 7 with upgrade of Windows 8 so that I've already paid.

Earlier, I bought a Windows 8 Pro upgrade. Recently, I rebuilt my computer by using the Windows 7 installer that came with the PC (Home Premium). I now turn to the 8 Pro window using the key that I've already paid for.

When I use the Updgrade Wizard of Windows 8, it tells me that Windows 8 is not available in my area.

When I use the Windows 8.1 Upgrade Wizard, he asks me if I want to pay $100 + for win 8.1 or nearly $200 to win 8.1 Pro.

I want just to get my upgrade product key I bought already and get my life back.

Anyone know how I might be able to do this?

Thank you, Jayant Gupta, but none of the suggestions worked.

What I ended up doing was downloading a copy of Windows 8 on MSDN developers and this website accepted my installation key during an upgrade to windows 7.

So now I have an authentic installation of Windows 8 Pro and after a few rounds of updates to get to 8.1, I'll be all ready for 10.

    Thanks again.

  • Windows 8 pro upgrade from Vista Home premium - abandonment of the facility after having successfully performed the wizard upgrade reboot

I started the process of upgrading to Windows Vista Edition Family Premium to Windows 8 Pro by using the relevant DVD purchased from amazon.co.uk.

Setup.exe automatically runs 'prepare' the PC for the Windows installation. The option allows to select personal folders are to remember, I chose 'Nothing' (I also tried another option). After reaching 100% of the given progress the PC is reset.

The blue brand (8) window so that the circle of progress under and then all of a sudden I get an instant error on a light blue background, something like: ":-(". The installation could not be completed.
I'm not sure of the message because it only flashes for a second and then reboots the PC. Back to the Vista, a message from window 8 installation could not be completed without further indication of what might have gone wrong.
    Some information on my system:
    Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.5
    6 GB OF RAM
Important: During the described process I had a dual boot OS, Ubuntu 12 and Windows Vista. Then I formatted all realizing finally that it is explicitly a DVD upgrade and it won't work for any new installation.
In any case, I'm really frustrated by the upgrade experience. I never had something similar, not even with Trash OS like Windows Me.
Any feedback/direction would be really appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Rohit, André,

I want to thank you for posting on the thread.
After some trial and error, I finally had. Here's what I did:
I started by trying to install Windows 7 to then use as the basis for the upgrade of Windows 8 (Vista installation was not good enough since it is 32-Bit allows do not directly upgrade to 64-bit operating system)-here I was getting an exception (BLUE) screen with the error code several different so I started to answer one by one
1 removed all USB and other devices outside mouse & keyboard (lock was apparently a Logitech camera)
2 update BIOS of ASUS motherboard to the latest version
    3. I had two different pairs of RAM modules using different frequencies. (2x2gb, 2 x 1 GB). I removed a pair.
Everything worked well, Windows 7 was installed successfully, and then I continued with an upgrade of Windows 8 smooth.
Lessons learned: incompatibilities HW should consider significant problems during the upgrade.
    Kind regards

When you install Vista using the original Toshiba recovery disc you will be activated Vista with valid license key. Will upgrade just to upgrade Vista preinstalled, and it must not be enabled.

After the fresh install of Win7, activate preloaded but button down will not work because this key belongs to Vista original you got with your laptop.

Is it possible that this update of last year was a success and this year won't work?
