Install the emulator ripple (0.9.1)

I'm trying to install the emulator to ripple, but, first the version that will be installed is waving 0.9.0.14 and not 0.9.1 how it says here: no https://bdsc.webapps.blackberry.com/html5/download/ripple

Well, since I'm testing with friends, I downloaded all in a folder and then told them to click on the jad file.  They were able to see all the files even if, as the record was available.

The jad file contains app and author info and BB will automatically download the cod files when the user clicks on download.  Are you talking about a link in a web page well?  If so, see this:

  • Cannot start the emulator Ripple

My computer is Windows 7 (64-bit). I tried to use the Ripple development smartphone emulator.

I installed the emulator of ripple on C:\Program Research In Motion\Ripple 0.9.0.16

and BlackBerry WebWorks SDK in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Research in Motion\BlackBerry WebWorks SDK 2.3.1.5

These are the locations by default, the installation program provided.

When I double click on the folder icon in the start menu, the program does not even appear, waving the emulator does not start. I even restarted my computer but nothing is running.

Not sure if it's the same problem, but removing the c:\users\\appdata\roaming\Research In Motion\ Directory After uninstallation of ripple, then reinstall fixed any issues with waving to me. I hope this helps.

  • Can package and launch of the emulator of the ripple

    Hello

I am able to build and verify my application using the emulator to ripple. When I try to deploy the application on my PlayBook, I learned that the build succeeded. I also see the bar file successfully created in the output folder. However, I don't see the app on my PlayBook.

I confirmed that my debugging chips are not yet due and I also checked to make sure that the mode of development and the device password is correct. I also checked that the settings of the emulator of undulation for IP address matches that on the device. I use the developer version of beta of the operating system (2.1.0.560) and use the stand-alone emulator Ripple (not the chrome extension). I develop using the Tablet OS SDK than BB10 sdk currently not support directory and file API calls.

I don't know what else to try because I do not receive the error messages and the app seems to have been built very well, but fails to install/launch.

    REDA

    Hi Nuno,

Thanks for the comments. I managed to pack with the extension chrome as well, but he would not launch on the playbook. However, I was able to find a workaround. If I package and install from the command line using bbwp and deploy blackberry, it seems to work correctly. I can live with that for now.

    Thank you

  • I'm building a Windows98SE virtual machine on a host OS to Windows XP Home using Virtual PC SP1 (with the fix for XP home). Do I need to install drivers for the emulated hardware?

As I understand it, all hardware is emulated (that is, it 'sees' that which is emulated, not the physical hardware in my computer: sound card, motherboard, etc.), correct?  Here's my question: do I need to install the motherboard drivers, video drivers, or the audio drivers for the emulated stuff.  In other words, even if I have an Athlon XP 3000 + processor on an ASUS motherboard, do I need to install the drivers from the motherboard with the chipset emulated by Virtual PC?

You have no need track down all the drivers.  They are installed automatically.

  • Error in the application using emulator ripple of packaging

Hello everyone, I'm on emulator running continuous for the packaging of the app for blackberry help SDK Blackberry Webworks 2.3.1.5 7os.

When I click the package button I get error as follows:

Build request failed with the message: error: ENOENT, remove the link "C:\Documents and Settings\AtikJ\RippleSites\HelloWorld\PKG\HelloW.zip".

So please suggest me some solutions...

    Thanks for your reply...
My machine is computer 32-bit... Also I use JDK 1.7...

    I solved this problem...
It must specify the path of our webworks SDK in the option settings of the emulator of the ripple.
So avoid all space charater in the path of the SDK...
for example c:/Program Files / Research In Motion /... is not valid.

    c:/ResearchInMotion/BlackberrySDK2.3.1.5... This is correct.

Another thing I've done is in the bbwp.properties file located in the webworks SDK bin directory... I've provided the correct path of the JDK. Also I put environment variables.

After completing these steps cod and alx files are generated.

  • How to generate the file .cod using the emulator of ripple?

I want to pack my blackberry phonegap app using the emulator to ripple.
The application should run on blackberry devices of series x 9 e.g. blackberry os 7 or earlier.

For this I used Blackberry 2.3.1.5 WebWorks SDK.

So please suggest me some ways to package the application using emulator ripple.

Ripple can only directly build with the WebWorks SDK which is different from that of the PhoneGap SDK.

SDK PhoneGap operates the WebWorks SDK, which can cause some confusion, but the process is different.

Unfortunately, ripple doesn't fit with the PhoneGap SDK / tools to allow you to build like PhoneGap.

That being said, there is the documentation available here, which describes how to use PhoneGap tools build for BlakcBerry:
    http://docs.PhoneGap.com/en/edge/guide_platforms_index.MD.html

You will need to use the command line interface to package your HTML5 project as a BlackBerry PhoneGap application.

Alternatively, you can build with ripple / WebWorks directly (i.e. omit PhoneGap completely) as shown here:
    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/documentation/webworks_testing.html

I am developing an Application Blackberry WebWorks Eclipse 3.6 (Helios).

Sun JDK, Apache Ant and Blackberry Web and WebWorks SDK Plug-Ins for Eclipse are installed and cunfigured correctly.

I have received sign of blackberry keys and them installed Eclipse and created a new Application of BlackBerry Webworks (Hello World) without any problem.

But when I try to run the app in the Blackberry Simulator, Eclipse sings with my keys properly and emulator application starts. But my application starts, nor do I find in anywhere in the emulator.

  • Impossible to install the Raid drivers from the USB on the Tecra S series

I tried to install the Toshiba RAID drivers (you know things F6) using a USB and emulating the BIOS USB FDD, well that detected the installation got XP file sytem was unknown.

    Any help?

    Hello

If you use Windows XP RAID driver cannot be installed on the USB. It is not possible.
You can install the RAID driver using only the drive FDD USB and floppy.

But Windows Vista recognizes the USB and the RAID driver might be installed in this environment.

So what OS and device do you use?

  • Try to install the old game of window 95 on my windows 7...

I have an old windows 95 game called Shivers.  I would like to install on my windows 7, I have home premium.

I tried a lot of things.
I tried to click with the right button on setup.exe/properties and making it compatible with different versions, also tried to have windows try and do it for me.
When I try first to install the game I get the error, not compatible with the 64-bit version.
After fiddling around, it seems now that the game will start to install, the screen resolution goes down and I get a black window, as I have had with other games when they begin to install.  However then goes black screen and I have nothing :(
I do not so much, but I've been looking for this game for a long time, I finally found and bought without thinking that he would not be able to run on my system...
I'm pretty OK with the computer, but when someone answers I need much instruction step by step please.
    Thank you

    (1) it is a 16-bit game and does not work on 64-bit Windows. Reported, it installs and runs with a few minor adjustments * 32-bit XP, Vista and Windows 7 (* compatibility setting: Windows 95, ignore any request for 'system test', set your screen resolution, etc..).

    (2) it MAY be that even a BACK emulator fails to run it because it uses a Sierra-own game engine (SCI) that must be supported, too. It is not included in the list of compatibility of DosBox, and it comes in the ScummVM forums (another emulator BACK) as "pending".

    (3) as a last resort, you can try to install & run the game in a virtual machine. If you have any disk installation for Win 3.1 or Windows 95, the virtual machine would allow you to play the game in the environment he has created. Windows 7 Professional allows you to download a free version of Windows XP Professional SP3 to work with Windows Virtual PC, but use a VM free as MS Virtual PC 2007, VirtualBox, etc. is certainly less expensive (even if you can buy a copy of Win 3.1 or 95).
