  I'm trying to install the CF 9 (as a developer install) on Windows 7 Pro/32-bit and go crazy.

  , My box running IIS7 and the installation of the FC goes OK (I have to configure for all IIS sites). When I try to launch the administrator at the end of the installation I get a 404 error saying that index.cfm is not found (URL is http://127.0.0.1/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm). The file is there, I can see IT.

  I followed some messages on the Internet about the installation of IIS 6 management and ISAPI extensions. When I use the "Web Server Configuration" tool I can configure the IIS default Web Site without problem. However, when I try to lauch CF administrator after the release of the Configuration utility, I get the same error.

  Are there any settings or pointers that anyone can give on how to get this working (I have already installed Adobe Flash Builder and ColdFusion Builder and I want to get it going).

  If you know the manufacturer of the game, you can try their site to see if they have a Vista patch for the game.  Some games have the protection against copying that is not compatible with Vista and you need a patch from the game manufacturer.  It is because the protection against copying of the game has been written especially for XP and will not function on Vista.  They are the only ones who can provide you with a work around if the compatibility options do not work for you.

• Windows 7 compatibility with the old game

  I used the resolution of compatibility issues in Control Panel to install my old pc game (cake mania 2) it installs and the game plays fine until I have shut down the game and try to reopen it. The convenience store said detected incompatible application.

  When you are working on your computer and install a new program, the installation suddenly fails. Now, you're left with a partly installed program. You try to install the program again, but you're unsuccessful. Or, maybe you have problems trying to remove an old program because the installation files are damaged.

  Download and install the Windows Cleanup utility to uninstall the game completely from the computer, and then start with a new facility.

  Once done with the uninstallation, you can install the game in Compatibility Mode and check if it works very well.
