Hello

For these servers, you can use the Mmic kvm, but you must first configure the Mmic on this server. See documentation below.

  • IMPOSSIBLE TO INSTALL ANY OPERATING SYSTEM

    Hello

I bought a computer hp laptop with this specification HP Pavilion g4-1310au Notebook PC about two weeks ago. It comes with a Freedos operating system. I tried to install an operating system from windows xp and also tried to install a windows 7, but every time I have to install the operating system, the installion was interrupted with a meassage to individuals a "blue screen" error error message saying that there are problems with my hard drive and I need to check on my hard drive. This scenario came when I tried to install windows xp on it. The next thing I did is that I tried to install windows 7 on the laptop computer. But still no luck, this time the error indicates that the installation cannot continue because there is a file missing or damaged file that prevents the installation.

I also tried to set some settings in the BIOS of the laptop as the Boot Option to start start installation in the cd/dvd from the laptop drive.

Finally, I realized that my laptop is fine but there is a problem with the process that
I used to make a bootable usb key. After trying the software, everything went well and
the installation of the operating system is a success.

Hello, so I performed a reset that restore my computer to factory settings, I have chosen to erase all files. I've done this before, and everything went well. What was going on, it was my disc useage was at 100% a lot and that something was wrong with my computer then I factory reset it. While the factory reset is 44% in "resetting your computer" and the next thing I knew I had 2 options, stop or start with advanced options. Well, I chose to stop it, 5 minutes later, I turned it back on and I ran a SMART check has no that was the ID # 9367LW-86J89N-MFPX7G-60BR3 followed by the product id that is shown above. He said that when I start to Boot Device not found, please install an operating system on your hard drive. Followed by the hard drive (3FO), I can only click f2 and it gives me the link to visit the Help Center. The computer saying that it did not have an operating system was not the first alert, that I had, it was something else saying there was an error of hard disk which then became not having not not an operting system. I tried to go to f11 and go in this way, but regardless of what it always comes back to the screen that shows the found boot device, please install an operating system. Help, please! • How to install two operating systems on a single computer

    Original title: windows

How to install two operating systems on a single computer, xp and windows 7... ?

    Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
For the installation of two Windows OS (called Dual Boot), you first determine what exactly the BONES. Based on this, you can proceed to install the oldest operating system first, then installing the latest OS. Here, in your case, Windows XP first and then Windows 7.
If you change the order, the latest version of Windows will not work correctly.
In addition, you can use Virtual PC or VMware to use Windows XP in Windows 7. Windows XP Mode is another version of Microsoft which allows you to use Windows XP in Windows 7 through Virtual PC. You can download Windows XP Mode from here:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Virtual-PC/Download.aspx
To install Windows XP Mode, you must have Windows 7 Professional or higher, with hardware virtualization enabled in your PC (you should check in the BIOS of your PC). If you prefer Windows XP Mode, you don't have to install Windows XP in the above mentioned way. It installs like any other program on Windows 7.
Note that if you have Windows 7 Edition Home Premium or lower edition, you can try Windows XP using Virtual PC/VMware or dual-boot.
  • can I install an operating system on my ram?

I went through a lot of posts on how to do that, people just give fancy words in huge paragraphs, that's the only problem I have not been able to address, I mean, Ive got a lot of things in my pc just by reading a few posts. but this, increasing the operating speed of my pc by like 1000% is too hard to resist, but I've never met a detailed procedure. It would be great if I get a link to a video that comes of showing me how to do the same thing, a break step by step what to do also would suffice.

Ask yourself, "Can I install an operating system on my ram?"

Microsoft does not provide a way, or he takes it somehow, to install one of its operating systems to any volatile storage device. This includes RAM any form or configuration.

For a moment, we suppose you could do: as soon as power was removed from the unit, all contents are lost. So, the installation will have to be repeated the next time you want to use the computer.

See an overview of what makes setup in place. The Windows DVD is put in the DVD player and Setup copy a base to HD image and preparing it for use. Control passes to the newly created system and a detection phase begins which determines the hardware in the computer uses and assembles a special computer image on the hard drive. The system restarts and uses the custom image. (The actual process may require several reboots and download files from the Internet, if a connection is available). At the end of the installation, there are on the hard drive an image of the operating system working together customized for this computer. Whenever the computer starts, it loads its core working together. How much is loaded depends on the amount of RAM available. Manager windows memory must take into account / meet the requirements of the programs started and run as well as the background as networking, memory of the file transfers to the use of system and application, & c.

Perhaps you would be worth considering the use of SSD devices or hybrid rather than or in addition to the HDs ordinary.

  • My PC will not repair or install an operating system. I tried with Vista, 7 and Windows Server 2008 installation media, but it does not get as much as the first menu.

As it is said above. Everything worked fine until a few days ago. Now, it will fail to start correctly wih STOP 0 x 00000024 (ntfs corruption), but I can't boot from any installation media to reinstall the OS or repair Vista. All I get is the wallpaper but no menu. I tried to unplug the SATA HDD and inserting an IDE drive with no effect.

I can't start to BACK among the several start-up/repair CD I tried but I am unable to boot from a DVD of Windows XP PE (BartPE or Hiren boot CD), but I can boot Knoppix Linux (5.3.1 and 6.4.3).

All I want to do is run chkdsk /r and then either to repair or install a new OS to make it work again.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Dave,.

You can read the following article which talks about the same issue:

Note: The steps mentioned in the article apply to Windows Vista n 7, so operating systems.

    1. do you have the original supplied with the computer disks?

2 have you tried to use the original Vista disks?

When I try to install Illustrator it says that I can not download it because Illustrator does not work on my operating system and verify the system requirements.

I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.8 located on the list of supported operating systems. I updated the software and I restarted, without success. I also managed to install and run the trial version for a month without any problem.

    Help please!

What version of Illustrator? If it's CC, then you need Adobe Application Manager, also called creative cloud. All of the CC downloads arrive via this application.

  • Install an operating system on the Portege R100 laptop via my RIS server

I am trying to install Windows XP on one of my laptop Toshiba Portege R100 customers via my RIS server, I install the RIS server correctly with network card drivers, but my problem is that the laptop says "NTLDR is missing, cannot resume" and restarting the laptop and I would remove the battery and put it back in front of the laptop would work and then I could get to the PXE boot agent and then it would crash and I would still have to the whole process.

I know that this problem is to do with a corrupted CMOS sensor but how am I ment to Flash bios without using it to boot from a floppy drive (external).

Please help it's driving me crazy!

    Thank you

    More details!

    Hello

If a "NTLDR is missing" message that this indicates that the hard drive is not bootable. I think that the Portege customer cannot boot from LAN (RIS server)
Have you enabled the option in the BIOS correctly?

Check if the network boot protocol is enabled. You can choose between PXE and RPL.
And if the LAN has been defined first in the boot order.

  • Fees and new drive hard install XP operating system?

    Hi all
I have a Sony Vaio, which was purchased at Costco in 2004 and has Windows XP Media Center Edition installed according to the sticker on the back of the computer.
The hard drive was out at the time of the computer and installed in an enclosure so that the data could be accessed the laptop for my wife a few months ago.
Well, I wanted to install a new hard drive in the computer with a new installation of the operating system so that our children can use the computer, but I've never done this before.  So here's my question:
If I go on eBay and buy a Windows XP Professional OEM with COA key I can install it on this computer, or must be Windows XP Media Center Edition?  When I went to Google I read how if you have Windows XP Media Center Edition (or any other edition of windows by the way) on a computer that is the only operating system that can be installed on this computer.  But I have more than one other computer that I upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium, Ultimate without problem through an Anytime Upgrade Microsoft.
I guess that the main reason that I'm asking because we lost the Microsoft Disc supplied with the computer, so I'll have to buy a drive one way or another and I just wanted to know what my options are.
Thank you very much for any help any of you are able to make.

You can install a commercial version on your Sony.

I would not buy it from eBay you have no guarantee that the key is not in use.

You should buy from a retailer or an online store.

As your sony will not run Vista or Windows 7, you have no choice but to install XP.

A better and cheaper choice would be XP Home Edition for children.

Don't forget, support XP stop April 8, 2014 so that gives you 1 year and 9 months.

After that, is no longer security update will be available for XP.

    http://www.Ubuntu.com/

The link above is a free operating system, so no $$$ to pay, you can download it or get it on CD

I got on the CD 5 years, they have sent to me and even paid shipping.

I don't know what options are available right now, so you'll have to visit their site.

Also in contrast to support XP for Ubuntu does not end.

  • I want to install an operating system on a slave drive

I we thant to install the same OS on my drive slave and stii have two readers and always use the master drive as I do have it now bult, so if something happens to the master drive, I can have a slave to continue to operate, given that I bought in a store computor and cannot get the disc to reinstall if the master crashes.i want to keep both drives in that now as I have programs on the slave, which helpes save space on the master drive.   Thank you

Usually, what you try to do is accomplished using an 'image' - backup program like Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image that come with a bootable CD that allows you to capture an image of an operational system and then later restore that image even if your system or drive hard crash.  But if you are looking for a free method, you can clone an image of your operating system to another drive using CloneZilla.  Clonezilla can be used to make an exact copy of your current operating system drive.  Too many things to cover here, but you can do the work at home...

  • Installing other operating systems on a Pavilion p6 2310ea desktop PC.

I want to install several additional Microsoft OSes on this new PC currently provided with Windows 8 (for example, WIndows 7, Windows Server OSes). To do this, so I want to reconfigure the HARD drive with multiple partitions, one for each additional operating system.

Is there a clean way to re-partition the HARD drive, then reinstall the confiuration OS and software original in a smaller drive C: using options of standard system recovery? What I wonder is whether HP (e.g. from the recovery partition) recovery software allows the creation of a C: drive more SMALL in which reinstall the OS and standard software? Then, once the HP recovery procedure, it would be possible to create additional partitions for additional operating systems.

    Hello

HP partitions are real sensitive to resizing and you will probably lose the ability for f11 and possibly, f9 works do not.

If you go with a second hard drive and then disconnect the drive home until you are satisfied with the operation of the second hard disk. If you are using many operating systems, then the docking station may be the way to go. You can use separate HDs for each operating system.
