I heard that we can create new partition by reducing the partition of the former, whether she has so cause my data and current windows? can you show me?

Hi Vidal.

Check the links below and see if it works.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/install-more-than-one-operating-system-multiboot

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows7/can-i-have-more-than-one-operating-system-on-my-computer-multiboot

If your hard drive has enough free disk space, you can install a newer version of Windows on a separate partition and keep the earlier version of Windows on your computer. It's called a multiboot or dual-boot configuration. Every time that you start your computer, you can choose which version of Windows to run.

Good day!

  • Cannot install windows after reset of the partition

I've literally been sitting to my macbook for the last 10 hours trying to get my bootcamp at work, however after tons of things difficult and research I found online I'm always at a loss. Initially, I had installed windows 7 a few weeks ago for the second time (after that yosemite deleted my previous one during the upgrade) and everything was fine. Then, I took the decision to uninstall my windows because I really wanted to expand the size of my partition, then backed up all my files and used bootcamp to delete windows and re partitioning my hard drive to a single volume. However after this, and then following the same exact steps as before (running bootcamp and sharing in a larger space) once the restarts my laptop that it comes up with the message "No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key" instead start windows automatically load (as it did before). I've repeated several times in the hope that it would work once however I can't help but feel that there is a problem with my hard drive and when I try to check my hard drive (not the 'Macintosh HD' a top one) sometimes - (I say sometimes because it does not say this error when you try to check) said this :

I'm really not good when it comes to such things, so this information can be totally irrelevant, sorry! I had originally check my volumes a recovery when yosemite initially deleted to repartition my hard drive and reinstall windows. I really don't know what to do, any help would be appreciated. I have no knowledge in this subject what so ever but I feel that my hard drive is damaged somewhere (even if yosemite still works perfectly and all my files appear to be intact) or for some reason my boot loaders do not work...

I can provide more information if necessary, but quite frankly, I have no idea what I'm doing.

Thank you for taking the time to read this if you have!

    1. do you use a USB key to install Windows?

2 can you post the output of the following OSX Terminal commands?

    diskutil list

    Cs diskutil list

    sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

    sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

The "sudo" commands will prompt to enter your password, and there do not appear to come back. You can also see caution against improper use 'sudo' and the potential loss of data due to an "abuse" of the order.

  • I can create a system recovery disk that gets installed and updated Windows 7, not the preinstalled HP Vista recovery Partition?

I have a laptop HP HDX 18 that had 64-bit Windows Vista installed, with a Vista recovery on his C drive Partition.  Since then, I installed clean 64-bit Windows 7 Professional of his Microsoft licensed DVD, that I still have.  I kept with all (200 +) of Windows updates.

Now, I want to create a system (Flash drive) for this laptop recovery disk, but my concern is that he will lead the recovery in its Partition Vista original, installed at the factory.   If I use W7 administration tools installed to create a system recovery disc, it will recover the old Windows Vista or Windows 7?  In addition, it would be nice to have a system recovery disk that had the latest W7.

I'm not looking to install the drive link below; However, I prefer the system recovery disk to restore my laptop to its W7 system most recently updated, rather than start over.

  • Install the new partition in Windows XP

Hello, is it possible to install an extra partition of Windows XP on my laptop with the recovery dvd satellite? I wish I had 2 win XP partition, and then choose the desired win XP. It will be used to have a stable win XP and a win XP that can be used for insalling and try new software.
    Thank you
    Pierre De Ceuster, Belgium

    Hello

You can use the recovery CD to create two partitions, but before do you these record all the data because the whole HARD disk will be formatted prior to installation. If you want to do this without reinstalling the operating system persistence, use Partition magic software. It is very powerful tool.

Don t forget to install the boot manager that allows you to choose which operating system you want to use.

Seems to be a problem with McAfee Antivirus. I would like to start trying to update McAfee to the latest version and see if that allows you to install the updates. If this does not work, then try disabling McAfee and see if updates through. If this isn't the case, then you must remove McAfee and install another AV, such as MSE http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/ and see if updates through.

  • Install the EFI on new SSD partition when doing 10 costs of Windows Installer

I have a similar problem to this topic. Windows was originally (and still is) installed on my HARD drive and I just installed my SSD recently. When I did a clean install of Windows 10 on my new SSD it has not installed the EFI partition.

Is there a way to create a new partition on the SSD EFI (of course I have to do another new facility) or do I have to physically unplug my HARD drive before you begin?

my personal rule, I always disconnect a disk with a partition bootable OS, just to reduce the troubles and do not mix the boot managers (I prefer to select the BIOS boot device)

  • WINDOWS UPDATE I have install the same updates

Recently, I have restored my computer Windows Vista to factory default.  I loaded all updates (a few at a time) and all have been completed successfully.  Now, it looks like WINDOWS UPDATE is having me reinstall the same updates, as they reappear on the list of updates to be added.  Please tell us what to do.

You receive errors related to updates?

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button, all programs and then click Windows Update.
    2. In the left pane, click view update history.
      http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed
    3. Find an update for Windows that has failed to install, and then double-click the update to view more information.
Updates that have failed to install will display failed under status, next to the name of update.
    4. In the Windows Update dialog box, next to the details of the error, review the error code for the update has failed.
    5. Follow the links in the Windows Update dialog box under more information or help and Support to resolve the problem, then try to reinstall updates by using Windows Update in Control Panel or by mail with the error code and maybe someone may be able to help others.

The new window updates, explains all the updates above are available and does not seem to recognize that they have already been "installed".
Suddendly machine may not be used, any open window says "not responding".
Tried to install the updates again, but same as above.
    Restart the computer.
I got Thunderbird open and does not and used Firefox to try to access this forum.
Firefox picked up trying to open on this forum and said not reponding.
Same as above, nothing had changed and unable to use what whatsoever.
Uninstalled all the above recent updates.
    The machine works again instantly.
Open Firefox to access forum, he reported problems with the last session on this site and so I started a new session.
    Everything works well and fast.

If I look at 'review your update history'
All the updates mentioned above are presented as successfully installed twice.
If I look at "the new updates are available," all the installed and then uninstalled updates are listed.

So before I try to install the updates listed above again, what known problems are there regarding their.
Why do you have the "check updates insist I had not installed?"
Why updates has not asked to restart the computer?
Why install the updates above make it impossible to use any programs?

  • Windows XP is installed on C: / and Windows Vista on E:. Is it safe to delete the partition of Windows XP? I'll still be able to boot Windows Vista?

    I have a 500 GB sata HDD and it is partitioned into 4 volume (C: E: - 97 GB, d - 122 GB, GB-122, F: - 123 Go). my windows xp is installed in the C drive
and I recently install windows vista on the E drive.

is - it safe format the c drive where windows xp is installed?

If I format it will damage my system?

    original title: Dual Boot Format

    Hello

It is not safe to remove Windows XP from drive C. If an earlier version of the Windows operating system is installed in a dual-boot with Windows Vista or Windows 7 configuration, the Windows Boot Manager program transfers control to the Ntldr program for the earlier version of the Windows operating system.

If you remove Windows XP, you may not be able to start Windows Vista as well.

    Refer to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/919529

The ideal way is to reinstall Windows Vista.

Note: Be sure to back up data before formatting the hard disk.
