  I suggest to Uninstall SP3 and retry the upgrade. When the upgrade has completed, you can download the latest Service Pack.

  Unfortunetly Microsoft cannot generate new without the old keys product keys. I look on the machine, if it's OEM and see if there is a key on it. If this isn't the case, then you will need to buy new software with a key.

  The previous version didn't need to be installed on the computer on which you install the upgrade.

  When installing it you will be asked the previous version that you have, you must choose the previous version, then it will ask you to enter this serial number to complete the installation.
