  I created a Windows XP Pro VM under a host Windows 7 Pro using Player 4.02. When I try to install VMware tools I get the message "can't find conponent on the update server. Contact VMware support or your system administrator. "The host and guest both can work a network connectivity and the internet. I saw at least another poster on another forum mentioned this error message and told him to install by mounting the ISO and install it manually. I looked in every subdirectory of the installation of the reader and any windows.iso file could not be found. Is it supposed to be there in this version of the player? If this is not the case, how can I get the iso? Any help is appreciated.

  No there is not. Sorry, but Microsoft made the decision to release 8.1 by download from the store window and buy purchase retail only we will not have to like it, but it's the only game in town. Personally I recommend to my family and friends if they have problems to download Windows 8.1 they purchase a full retail copy and do a clean install. This also has the advantage that if you wipe your computer in the future you don't have to be bothered by all these many updates.   Colin is correct. When you publish on an Android application directly on a Flash device, it removes the old version and then install a new. You can actually see this happen. If you have the app open with the screen on drawer and to publish the application from Flash, you will see the app disappear from your device and a few seconds later, another appears.

  Another way you could install the app, while keeping the data is just having Flash create the .apk file and install it manually on your device or use the method of Colin put as a beta/alpha on the game store. Be aware that if you are wanting to do your application paid for, you can first make free.

  A manual installation options include the apk of edition and then move to your device while it connected as USB device (Windows) or use the Android app (Mac) File Transfer and you need a file manager on the device application 'open' the app that will trigger the installation prompt.

  What I do, because my apps are for most of the code and are small size of file, use Dropbox. I have all my project files saved with Dropbox, so whenever I publish a new .apk file, I download the new file to my phone from Dropbox and install it from the downloads app and it prompts just update you currently installed.

  Hello, I have a HP Pavilion g6-1a52nr Notebook PC (running Windows 7 64 bit) which is in a reboot loop. This happened after I installed VMWare Workstation 7 (in the installation process there is no occurs.but error after installing that I try to reboot the machine, and then the following error has occurred).
  Now whenever the notebook starts up, it seems to be in a reboot loop after the windows logo then get a blue screen.
  When I connect to the system using vmware safemode also working.but in normal mode it displays a blue screen after logiin screen shows.

  I'm quite new to vmware players.

  My host system is OpenSuse 11.3 and I want to run Windows 7 (64) as a guest operating system. The windows installation went without any problems, but I am unable to have a display full screen of my guest operating system. I read somewhere on the web that it could be due to the fact that I have not installed VMWARE tools. When you click on "install VMWARE tools" I get the followign error.

  Component not found on the update server. Contact VMware Support or your system administrator.

  I use VMWARE player 3.1.3 build-324285.

  Has anyone experienced the same issue?
