install win2003 r2 on hp6000 sff

How can I install windows 2003 r2 on a hp6000 sff desktop computer?

Hello:

Go in the BIOS and in the storage options menu, change the SATA from ACHI to IDE emulation Mode.

Save the setting it by hitting the F10 key and again when you go out.

Now install WS2003.

After getting that done, please let me know and I'll give you the instructions on how to change this setting to DCIS by loading the appropriate sata ACHI driver once you have installed WS2003.

    Hello
I have Windows Vista preinstalled on my Equium L350 - 10L. I wanted to install Windows 2003 server on another partition in order to dual boot between the 2 operating systems. When I start with the install of Win2003 CD and access the Setup screen, I get the following error: «Setup didn't find any hard drives installed in your computer» I'm assuming (correct me if I'm wrong) I have need to install the drivers for the SATA controller during the installation when he says "press F6 to install 3 pary SCSI or RAID drivers. Helpful suggestions and solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It is important to doesn´t if toshiba does not explicitly have the F6Floppy drivers for your machine. You can go to www.intel.com and download the drivers from F6Floppy from there.

On the issue of the 'no-floppy", you can easily find a way just in slipstreaming with nlite for self made Win2003 Server drivers CD.

To learn more about "slipstreaming" CD with nLite, simply type 'Nlite slipstream XP ICHM8' or some of these words in google and you will find all THE answers. Or you use the forum search and find only 10000 messages on this slipstreaming with nlite, etc...

    Hello:

If you have the installation media yourself (to download the ISO of W7), which is normally due to a bad burn to DVD or you didn't get the entire file to download even though it said full.

Check the download file size you actually, vs, which is on the download site.

I installed ESXi on a 2850 at present, which was since August 2005 and it works like a treat.  We cannot do any messing extra to make it work, it worked as soon as the software has been installed.

  • HP compaq dc 7900 SFF: no sound after install graphics card

I have hp compaq dc 7900 Mini PC... After you install the graphics card ati hd 5460 there is no sound in my pc... instead of on-board "audio device high definition AMD there." I use some youtube vedios to solve this problem and there is a solution by allow edge audio in the bios Setup... then I try to enter the installation using F10 but it ask password... then I hit "enter" 3 times and I could not able to enter the bios Setup... in audio device shipped here turn off but I can not change it... I could not change any setting in the Configuration of the bios... so please help me solve this problem.

    You are the very welcome.

There are two ways you can solve the problem.

    1. remove the rider of green password on the motherboard, following the instructions in the manual that I posted.

And as I wrote yesterday, if remove the jumper and turn on the PC does not erase the password, then the only other thing you can do is to replace the motherboard by one with no BIOS password set.

    2. install a video card that has no hdmi on the port.  I put a Radeon HD 2400 in my dc7900 SFF.

This card has only one S-video and DVI port, so the onboard sound is not disabled when you install a card like this.

Then you can press the yellow button to reset CMOS to restore the integrated audio system.

  • 6000 pro SFF: installing the video card on 6000 Pro SFF with BIOS 2.03

I am in train to install a video card in my 6000 Pro SFF and find that when the new video card is inserted, neither she, nor my tip on video card working.

Assuming that their must be a way to get the card to operate in the BIOS (2 786 v2.03), I'm going to the "Advanced" tab and find "PCI devices. Underside of the mentioned deviced is 'Controller VGA Intel'. Choice for this controller are the IRQ = 5, 10, 11, or disabled. Apparently, the default value is 5 because that's how it is now set.

A little scared that if I put "Disabled", which will be not only the new video card does not work, but the video card on the motherboard won't work, too.

Y at - it anyone out there that can tell me if you change the VGA Intel controller to disabled is the right way to install the new card, and that I only put my computer in a heavy paperweight by.

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information.

  • dc5800 SFF: HP dc5800 SFF: firmware Install with new processor Q9400

I have a HP dc5800 SFF with a core 2 duo dual core cpu. Checking the list of caught CPU supported, I installed a cpu Q9400 supported. Started the machine and got an error in the microcode. Research and found that I needed to download the firmware file that I made this site, the file is called "sp51245.exe."

How to install this file? The computer does not start, gives just the firmware error. Restore the old CPU to then run the firmware file so I install the Q9400?

    Sorry, that didn't work.

The only other suggestion I can offer would be updated the BIOS with the latest version.

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/SWD/public/detail?sp4ts.Oid=3658095&swItemId=vc_97162_1&swEnvOid=2103

To update the BIOS, you take a USB flash drive, format it with the FAT32 file system.  Do not make the bootable disc.

Copy the contents of the file flash BACK found in the BIOS update file (launch the executable and it will open a help page and you can copy the files from this page by clicking on the link there).

With the flash drive connected in the USB of the PC port boot, press the F10 key to access the BIOS.

On the file menu, there will be an option ROM Flash System.

Select this option and follow the instructions on the screen to Flash the BIOS.

If all goes well, that will remove the microcode update error.

Just keyboard, mouse, monitor and drive connected to the computer when you Flash the BIOS.

If that does not clear the error, unfortunately, I won't have any other suggestions for you.

As you know the processors you tried are taken in charge in the PC and why they don't work, I have no idea.

For your convenience, I attached the files to update the BIOS below... once again, you unzip the files and copy the contents of the file in the folder in your drive formatted FAT 32.

  • HP compaq dc5800 sff: install a new graphics card

    Hello

I bought a 240 r7 radeon graphics card to upgrade my hp dc5800 sff, it is running on the q33 chipset from intel.

How to install this new graphics card? I want to talk about the installation of the drivers, not the placement in the pc itself.

I read somewhere that I first need to uninstall the drivers from the chipset, q33 before putting the card in my pc, is it true? If Yes, how should I do it OK?

If not, can I just put it in the case, plug in my monitor inside and start the pc, then install the drivers from the disk?

    Thank you

    Hello

It is very rare that the removal of the existing video driver is necessary before installing a new video card. Most video card manufacturers do not understand such a suggestion with instructions to install a new video card.

However, if you still believe that you must work Yes, so that you can go through the program and features Control Panel to remove the video driver only. You can also use Driversweeper to clean up the video driver.  However, before removing the Chuck, make sure you have the original drivers downloaded to your desktop so that you don't have to hunt for him later if necessary.

The AMD R7 240 does not yet in your PC according to the level of brand, model and vBIOS in the graphics card.  In addition, check power supply required for the 240 R7 which, from what I've read is 400 watts.
