  I saw this happen occasionally during installation via the USB port. In my experience, it is when a USB 3.0 or eSATA/USB combo port is present. It does not occur if start you it from a Windows existing, nor happens during the installation of optical media.

  Greetings. I'm looking to extract files from the Windows Server 2008R2 d:\system\install.win folder. I can access it fine, but can't seem to know what each folder (1-8) matches what version of Windows. In other words, I want to select the correct file versions in the DVD for Windows 2008R2 64 bit.   What settings are you looking for?  It seems that there is a problem with the mode of operation of HD.  The E520 BIOS has an option to change the SATA compatibility instead of AHCI mode?  You will not be able to install a version of "Vanilla" of XP without adding the correct AHCI driver or compatibility mode.

  What version of BIOS do you have?  I see this rather cryptic reference in the BIOS 1.20:

  "[Fixes problem] problem reading/writing data to the SATA compatibility mode."

  It is possible to dual-boot XP and 7, but the best way to do is to install XP first and then let the 7 Installer put in place the configuration dual-boot.  You would still have the problem of compatibility (IDE) vs AHCI mode.

  Ah, lookinng a little further, there is a driver AHCI for XP in Lenovo driver matrix.  The readme file includes instructions on installation.

  I just did an install turnkey LiveCycle ES4 on Windows 2008R2 DOWNLOAD ss4 trail on the Adobe site.  I use the installer of Windows of JBoss.  I got a few errors durning the installation related to the implementation of the ConfiguratonManager.bat file that I have included in the Setup log below.  The installation fails with errors.  I took at the glance in the ConfigurationManager/bin directory and there is no batch file.  The installation has not completely fulfilled and JBoss and MySQL were not installed.

  I figured out that I caused this problem.  I was install on a virtual machine mapped to a path to the virtual computer running on my local computer to a path out of the VM on my local machine.  I received the warning from UNC path, but thought that it would not be a problem because the files were still on the local computer, but I was wrong.  The LiveCycle installer doesn't really work of mapped drives.

  Hi I read through all the posts and I can't seem to find an answer.

  My problem is that...

  I tried to install windows from a full version and when I want to install windows on a partition it fails. If I try to delete the partition, it fails. If I use the recovery discs - Option 1 not entered completely load - looks like Gdisk? error and then a ghost. Option 2 loads but when I go again to install fails.

  I can't find an option in the bios to prevent disk access - as a protection against boot viruses. the key under the keyboard, I tried in both positions.

  I removed the battery to see if it is a power problem.

  I tried using the options of recovery in win xp - but cannot access the drive

  The really strange thing is over the option of recovery disks 2 - the size of the disk is larger than the actual size of about 1/3?

  The system initially went down while it is connected to the internet - the only option I can thing of is a power surge came down the line and has damaged the motherboard or hard drive. As it happened to a desktop system - blew 3 modems and a UPS before we have located the problem.

• Problems of Jet 7 HP recovery after installing Windows 10 TP

  A month ago I bought the HP Jet 7. Soon after receiving it, I installed Windows 10 TP, without first create and save an Image of the system to an external drive recovery. While playing with Windows 10 TP, suddenly the touch screen doesn't work anymore, as well as WLAN. The SD card is not recognized eiter (and I can't boot from it). I now can with Windows only when you attach an external USB keyboard. I can't get into the BIOS (power-Volume-down).

  I tried to go back to Windows 8.1, so far without success. I tried the regular Windows recovery mechanisms - all fail. When booting from a USB 2.0 with 8.1 32-bit of Windows Installer source attached to a USB hub powered by bus, at least, I'm able to boot, and I see that your partition 4 is a recovery partition. Yet, when you mount the partition (via DISKPART) to check for recovering images in the 'Images of Windows' folder I only get "access denied".

  Does anyone have tips on how to do to get my stream of HP 7?

  Hi all

  After you remove all of the partitions and create the recommended UEFI/GPT partition , I was finally able to install Windows USB 8.1. I guess the reason for all the facilities prior to failure were remnants of W10 Technical Preview (for example, recovery or similar tools). So in short: I had to wipe the hard drive to a successful downgrade.
