Install Windows own 10 - an extreme measure to clear the bad guys?
Thus arose the issue of fear... "Dad, can fix you my laptop?
After a good look, it has been well blessed with all sorts of undesirables.
The viruses were easy (!). But the Trojans are fighting back. (AVG, dbghelp.dll and so on).
As a Windows 7 machine will be a 'clean up Windows 10 update' a true clean out or that it is trying to speed up the process by holding the pieces and install pieces of the previous? (I know I would mean by "clean install", but I would just confirmation of what is really happening.)
Thank you.
Mike

First win 10 is an upgrade to a previous operating system. Once you've upgraded, you can clean install. To be absolutely sure when you perform a clean installation, you can simply delete the partitions when telling the installer where to install.

I am trying to install Windows Server 2008. When I get to the part where I should choose where the operating system is to be installed, it is blank. He told me 'No device found drivers. We see the SATA HDD in BIOS, and if I browse for the drivers, the driver is displayed. I used the command line packaged with the installer to format the drive, just to be sure. It is formatted in NTFS.

Hello
I'm doing a clean install of windows xp pro on a hard disk with unallocated space at the front of the drive and a primary partition containing the data at the end of the training.
I want to install windows xp pro on a primary partition on the front of the disk on drive C.
Here's my problem:
When I was installing windows xp pro, I noticed that when I created a partition in the unallocated space at the front of the car where I wanted to install windows xp pro, that I couldn't C as a drive letter for the installation drive - d only.
I ran the installation at the end and Yes, windows xp pro did install on drive D - this isn't what I want - I want it on the C drive.
Can someone tell me how I can solve this installation problem.
Should I run a partition boot CD and set up a primary partition on the front of the drive before installing windows xp pro?
Thank you very much.
I solved this problem by following these steps:
1. I installed a second hard drive (old sata drive).
2. I installed windows xp on the second hard drive.
3. I photographed the windows xp install from the second disc on the first hard drive.
4. I deleted the second disc.
5. I've rehearsed with my other computers.
Everything works fine - just takes a little longer than expected.

I had pre installed windows vista on my laptop. now, I replaced the hard drive. so, can we recover only windows giving you the serial number? I have sony laptop.
How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
Install Windows on a new hard drive while maintaining the files on the old?
I have Windows 7 64-bit on my stock 500 GB hard drive. I have a 64 GB mSATA which I would like to do a clean install of Win7 on. Regarding the 500 gig HD, I would like to wipe and partition (it is loaded with bloatware and probably malware) but if possible, I like to keep a few photos and mp3s. I have to wipe everything, or can I just install Win7 and start-up of the SSD, then delete what I want on the other hard drive?
I suggest at the very least, you back up your personal folder in C:\Users\Your_AccountName on a hard drive external.
Proceed to install Windows 7 on SSD, reactivate so you keep the 500 GB attached as a slave drive and format it. You could even redirect your personal folders to it after formatting it.
How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)
1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4
(2) press the ENTER"" key.
(3) select your "country" in the list.
(4) choose the option "activate phone".
(5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.
(6) explain your problem clearly to the support person.
Is it better to install Windows 8 'clean' on new PC compared to the upgrade of Windows 7?
Is it better to install Windows 8 'clean' on new PC compared to the upgrade of Windows 7?
- I use, for many years, Windows XP and Office 2003.
- Now I'm going to buy a new desktop PC for home use
(Internet, WORD, OUTLOOK, store a lot of pictures). - I have a dilemma, which OS is better Windows 7 or Windows 8
as I see many problems in Windows 8, and it seems that the SW is immature. - My first question is: what is your suggestion?
5. in case I choose Windows 8, MS will support not me, technically, by phone,
If the SW is integrated in the PC (from a 'Mark' PC manufacturer)!6 but if I install, first of all, windows 7 (legally) and subsequently UPGRADE to Windows 8.
MS will support me.
7. my second question is: put a time and money aside, concerns
the PC will be much less 'HEALTHY' after installing 2 operating systems
so if only Windows 8 will be installed on an SSD again, put in shape
(just for C = system drive, the data will be on a hard TB 3 second, mechanical
By car)?
Thank you very much
If you have Windows XP, Windows 8 might be bit overwhelming, though, you can familiarise yourself with it. Personally, I'd go with Windows 7 If you can get it.
5. in case I choose Windows 8, MS will support not me, technically, by phone,
That's right, you will get support from the manufacturer, because its their equipment. In addition, you can get support here in the forums.6 but if I install, first of all, windows 7 (legally) and subsequently UPGRADE to Windows 8.
MS will support me.
Yes, you will have 90 days of free technical support through Microsoft.
Well, if you make these facilities consecutively, there should be no decrease in performance.Thank you very much
Backup Windows XP does not seem to be clear the attribute archive when you perform a normal backup.
I do a backup of the 'Normal' at the beginning of the month. Then, at the end of the first week, I do a "Differential" backup (using the same "backup job" but change to type "Incremental".)
Well the difference is huge and to study, I see that a lot of files that I don't know that I didn't take the week since the 'Normal' backup have the Archive attribute set.
Is the 'Normal' compensation not the bit mode backup of archive? Another thing would be randomly set the attributes to archive? Is there a ghost in the machine? Inquiring minds want to know.
Hello
Differential backup marks files as having been backed up (in other words, archive attribute is not cleared). This is normal.
Hey guys and girls,
I'm having a little problem with the laptop and was hoping to help. Background: the hard drive on my Toshiba laptop died so I replaced it with the old hard drive from my wife phone. The only problem is that I have no recovery disc for my Toshiba and my laptop now thinks it's old HP my wife with all the bad drivers. So what I was hoping to do was to do a clean install of Windows 7 or upgrade right on a clean install of Windows 10 so I can get it think it's a Toshiba again and update with the correct drivers to make it work properly. So there is the background.
What I tried to do is to simply use the file .iso Windows 10 to upgrade the Toshiba and perform reformatting the computer, but it requires a product key which I enter the Windows 7 Home Premium OA key located at the bottom of the laptop, but it won't take it. Do I need to activate the product key for Toshiba Home Premium on this laptop before it would format and upgrade? It does not currently seem like a product key is actually enabled on the computer at all.
Thanks a ton!
After the upgrade to Windows 10, you cannot use your Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 product key.
Click on this Later.
Check if you have installed November update:
No, the key that can be used with 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 is exclusively for use with the disc 1. You cannot use install both. 1 license, 1 installation, so choose wisely. If you want to install Windows 7 32 or 64 bit on another partition or another computer, you must purchase an additional license.
Install Windows recovery disk 8 in virtualbox hangs on the splash screen
Hello Lenovo community,
When I try to install the copy of Windows 8 I got with my Lenovo S440 in a virtual machine environment
the installation hangs on windows startup screen. I've never seen a Windows 8 installation
procedure before, so I booted my laptop from the installation media to check if it is corrupted.
It works very well. A loading circle dot is displayed the logo after a few seconds and that after quiet
some time the wizard of lenovo is shown... so there must be a problem with the virtual machine.
I have attached a screenshot to show you where it crashes.
It would be great help ! Thanks in advance!
Hello
I think that reinstall drive wouldn't work on a virtualized machine, only directly on the Lenovo hardware, in order to prevent the copy of Windows, more whatever additional licensed software is on the media, to be pirated.
My best advice would be to insert a blank HARD drive in Lenovo ThinkPad S440, use the recovery media, produce an installation complete on the HARD drive and then run a program to convert the HARD physical disk to a virtual machine, as Microsoft Sysinternals Disk2VHD.
Kind regards
I installed Windows XP Home Edition. Can not find the wireless network drive
I installed Windows XP Home Edition on my spare PC. Now I have wireless network card in the computer and problems to find the drivers for it, and I don't know what brand it is, so I know it's kind of makes it harder too. Then I also have to start the computer, but if I press F1, the computer starts well
I was just wondering how can I get rid of this?
Disable all devices that can connect to your router (wired or wireless)...
- PCs
- Laptops
- Tablets
- Smartphones
- Smart TV
- Printers
- Networked storage
- Another thing that I have not mentioned above!
Put on your router and wait for the normal light distribution. Then turn on all devices.
I hope that your ip address conflict went away. Generally ip conflicts can happen when the router is running again without doing the same with all devices later.
If you have even an ip address conflict, it is possible that you forgot something above or can someone use your router without your knowledge.
Your router's wireless network is secure? Ideally with WPA2 encryption?
Tricky
