-get out of laptop HARD drive
-connected to my desktop (USB adapter)
-formatted
-created a 3 gig fat32 partition and receives the letter Z
-define Hdd partition (Z) as active
-copied folder I386 to the XP cd to drive hard partition (Z)
-copied smartdrv.exe in hdd partition (Z)
-unplugged the desktop hard drive and put in laptop
-boot from a boot disk (floppy, created in windows 7, the MS-DOS startup disk)
-run smartdvr
-run winnt
-Start treated began and the first part was made
-floppy drive eject
-Restart
-changed to HARD disk first boot sequence

Now, I get NTLDR missing. If I C: > dir I see

I'm stuck here. What I am doing wrong?

Thank you very much

  • install apps from the store / checked / others?

    Hi all

After the successful sierra upgrade remains a question...

In Control Panel / common I could select (capitan) between 'install apps from the store', '... certified developers', '... from other

On the Sierra, I only have the options "... the store," '... of certified developers

The last option "... others" was gone.

Can this last option 'install applications from others' be re-activated?

I had a couple of applications that require one '... other What will happen in the future when there is the need to reinstall?

    Greetings from the Germany

    Chris

This is a "feature". In Sys Prefs, you can choose between the store and known to the developers. You can always choose to open a pkg app or an unknown dev by ctrl-click Installer, and then by selecting open from the menu. You will get a dialog with an option to open the application. Once this is done, your Mac will approve the app.

It is possible to completely disable a guard, but this is not recommended. Here's how: http://www.amsys.co.uk/2016/09/disable-gatekeeper-macos-sierra/

  • I bought the iPhone 6 s more each time that iam going to install apps from the App Store a circle will appear and again, it goes back to get the button, there is no problem with my ID Apple and Internet, please help me... I have installed an app

I bought an iphone 6 s more but every time that iam going to install applications from the App Store and press the get a circle will appear and again it goes back to get butto, no problem with my internet and Apple ID, I have not yet even insta an app from thtee opening days, please help me.

Yet one thing I can change the color of my iPhone after unpacking it?

You have 14 days to return a phone from Apple after the purchase - which should answer your question of color

As for not being able to download apps - you're in a good WiFi zone and can you browse the internet on a web browser or send / receive emails?

Also check restrictions - general - settings to make sure that the download of applications is not limited

  • Re: How to install Windows from a recovery on a new hard disk media?

Immediately after a Windows Update, my computer will not re-start. It says disk error.

I could not start it from the recovery media and F8 would not work. I bought and installed a new hard drive. Now, when I put in the recovery media to install Windows on the new drive, it gives an error message.

What this may be? Would I be able to install Windows from the recovery media?
It is Windows 7 and laptop Satellite A500, 64 bit.

    Hello

In General, you can install Recovery on each compatible HARD drive image so you should not be a problem in this regard.

Please tell us what happens when you start installation of recovery. What error message?

New HARD drive is recognized in the BIOS. Before you begin installation of recovery BIOS default value.

  • I installed RAM from 1 GB to 8 properties but system says 3.5 GB.

I have a xw4400 workstation HP with Windows XP and I installed RAM from 1 GB to 8 but properties system indicates 3.5 GB. Why do we say not that there are 8GB?

If you are running win XP 32-bit, it cannot "see" more than 4 GB, your video card is to eat the rest.  Only way to use the 8 GB is upgraded to 64 - bit

If you have 64-bit check the setting of memory max msconfig.sys (not sure if it is called the same in XP, I used it for a decade)

  • Can I install XP from a computer die on "newer" computer

I recently got a new laptop at work.  My home computer died a year before, so I need a new.  The computer dead was built by the wife of a former colleague, and I have no more contact with one of them.

My employer will let me buy my old lap top, at a pretty good price. Since I'm totally cheep, I plan to use it and re-install my drivers of keyboard and speaker, etc., on the top of the tower.  However, my employer has to whipe all of the machine, including the operating system.  I have the installation disc and the key to the XP that were installed on the dead computer.  One of our specialists thought that I would be able to install XP from this drive on the old lap top.  I anticipate that this will be a problem because they key has been used before on the dead computer.  Is there a way to get the key reset since I no longer use this license on the dead computer?  I have to stall with XP because some of the working software I need to use the House is not compatible with Windows 7 (and thus the problem with buying a new computer... I have XP for my OS for the working software must be installed).

If the XP CD that was used on the old computer was a retail copy, you can use it on the new laptop. You must use the product key that is on the orange sticker on the CD retail case in this matter. You will not have a problem with activation.

If the XP CD that was used on the old computer was an OEM (HP, Dell, etc.), you can't use it on the laptop. You will need to purchase a full copy of XP to use on the laptop. The product key on the laptop will belong to your employer volume license and cannot be used.

As you must have XP, you must use a copy retail to install. Be sure to install all the drivers and the specific portable software later. You can find them in the computer Web site portable mftr... MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Install XP from USB (mini netbook, notebook)

can I install XP from a USB key or USB hard drive.
I see things on the internet about third-party utilities to do. but then I see other places where it says that it cannot be done.

If this is not the case, what people are doing with no CD or DVD drive to install/reinstall windows?

    Too risky and complicated.
I'll try to install XP pro or Ubuntu Server if possible. Is this possible?

  • IBM Thinkpad with XP Home Edition preinstalled but no XP installation CD. Will need to re - install XP from CD after planned hard drive upgrade. How can I create a CD to install XP from the installed system?

Hi, I bought an IBM Thinkpad with XP Home Edition pre-loaded in 2005 (the XP key sticker is on the bottom of the laptop), but did not receive an XP installation CD - I understand, it is a common practice. I want to improve the internal hard drive (for a bigger) then you will need to re - install XP from CD. They tell me that there is a way to create the XP (on the CD burner) installation installation CD but have no idea how. I can't imagine I'm the only person to have had this problem. Can you tell me where I can find the instructions how to do this please? Any help is welcome. Thank you very much.

There are many cloning utilities, but I recommend Acronis True Image. You can clone your hard drive, then use TI to the image of your system and to make incremental backups. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

    Hey, Tsalagi.

Based on a quick search, I found two programs that might interest you: at least some say that this allowed them to print from DOS in Vista applications.

    I hope this helps!
