  • Asian locale?  Installed Acrobat XI for Windows, but when I try to run the program, it happens in some Asian locales - can not read anything!

    Hello

I am setting up a new laptop and downloaded Acrobat Pro XI for Windows computer.  Download and install seemed to go fine, but when I try to run the program, it is coming in a few other locales (not French_FR).  What should I do to configure the program for the locale in the United States?

(running Setup 3 times (to fix, modify, uninstall/reinstall), but so far nothing has worked.)  Even after uninstalling/reinstalling (where I deselected the local Korean), the program still continues to flow upwards in an alternate reality!

  • Is it still useful to install SP2 for Vista on 64-bit system? What are the benefits?

OK, so I have Windows Vista Premium Home Edition on a laptop HP with Service Pack 1 installed. I have disabled the automatic updates of Windows functionality, because there are so many unnecessary and space-hogging updates that I can't be bothered. I've never had a problem with the system or security issues (I use Avast Antivirus among other tools/software as needed) and I've had this phone for almost 2 years now. In the past, whenever I installed a major update, it will eventually create problems that were not there before the update so I'm really hesitant to install SP2. ONLY that I even consider it is because I have problems with Windows Movie Maker and tried to install Windows Live Movie Maker, but it won't let me do that without having installed SP2. To install SP2, I have install all the boring updates I have never installed SP1. so, all this makes me wonder if it's the same penalty to install SP2 in the first place? I can use other video editing software, if necessary, but if someone can tell me what SP2 has or does that SP1 is not, and all the benefits of the installation, I would be better able to make a decision. Any advice? Info?

    Thank you!

If your happy with SP1 and your AV software with the new version of each exercise supports still SP1 then follow it. Just be aware that Microsoft (and I'm not a Microsoft employee) will give you no support after the data that I posted.

    Hi Tom,

    Thanks for the post.

You can't install or open the program in safe mode. We need additional information to help you with the installation of Corel Paint Shop Pro X 4 / X 5, please answer the following.

    1. using Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit?

    2. which antivirus app do you use?

    3. did you face any problem with other facilities?

If you try to re - install the X 4 / X 5 Corel Paint Shop Pro, you can refer to the following methods.

    Method 1:

Run the Fixit from following link and check the status of the issue.

How to solve the problems when you install or uninstall programs on a Windows computer.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2438651

    Method 2:

Disable the antivirus and check the status of the issue.

    Disable the antivirus software.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    I hope this helps.

  • Is there a way to install exe to a vi on a XP machine without running LV and not restart?

    Hello

I need deploy an application that reads the channels in a FP module for testing purposes. The problem is, I can't restart the system, I need to install this on because it runs the critical control software that cannot be interrupted. The system does not have the labview runtime engine and I can't install this requires a restart of XP probably due to registration of dll or something.

I use "Fieldpoint network read" read from the module. The simple answer would be to simply install on a machine on the same network can I restart. However, I have no such luxury because I connect to the system over a long distance connection, VPN and I need to be able to query the FP data every 250ms, which may be too much for the connection.

So basically, I need to find a way to read data from the PF in a manner similar to "PS Network read" without having to restart the system.  Is it possible to do it with labview? Otherwise, I may be able to write this application using LabWindows because I know some software is already running on this machine programmed with that.

The first thing I would say is that a reboot is not necessary.  I installed LabVIEW development environment since and when asked I told him I want to reboot later.  Then I open LabVIEW and coding.  I don't know what he thinks, you need to restart for, but maybe it's not necessary.

The other thing I want to mention is that LabVIEW 7.1 and older can run exe without the need to install a runtime engine.  So it is possible to build an EXE in 7.1, then include some files and dll in the same directory as the EXE file, and when it is run it will use the.  There are probably issues with talking to hardware DAQ without MAX and I don't know how answer you this, but it's another possibility.

Of course, you already know the answer and it is to restart the system when more convenient.

  • Cannot install Sims on Vista

Hello. My new laptop has Vista on it, and I can't install the Sims + Expansions on it. My old laptop had Vista but I was able to install everything after a few tries. When I try to install now, the Sims, Livin ' Large and house party all work fine without problems. When I try to install Hot Date, a message appears that says I need at least 64 RAM or the game may run slowly. This message for all the expansions after Hot Date as well. I was told there is MORE than enough RAM on my laptop to support all extensions, so I don't know why the message keeps popping up. Another problem that may be related is if I don't know this "not enough RAM' message, I am able to install all extensions, and I can play once. If I exit the game or it crashes on me, and I try to start the game, I get a message saying that I have installed supposedly another expansion after Makin ' Magic. I know that I install everything in the right order, and I do not install anything after Makin ' Magic, so I don't know why he said that. Can anyone give me any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi bearcub127

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers Forum!

'The Expansion of Sims' requires at least 64 MB of RAM and virtual memory enabled. But if you use the other expansion packs, you should have at least 128 MB of RAM, so please provide us with the RAM and the information of the video card installed on your computer.

You will get information about the RAM in information system. Right click on computer, select Properties.

  • Vista SP2 has not installed recovery changes. Error e000023f.__Please help computer is running fine now.

Hi, I tried to install SP2 for Vista pack recently without success. Basically, I'll install and my computer stops then starts up and when installing it will cancel and say changes in recovery does not summers.

When my computer load back to the top of the screen and the icons have become much bigger and my computer seems to be missing a lot of pilots.

I tried to disable all the startup items.

I tried to uninstall my Norton 360 program.

Stand-alone setup I tried and it also does the same thing.

Ran sfc/scannow, and it has detected an error and fixed it but no difference.

I tried to run the system preparation tool, but loading upward it checks updates and asks me to install an update first. When you try to install the update, it happens at the same point every time and just hangs. If I wait long enough he will say: impossible to install and it is that I get.

When I check history the next error code update to SP2 install is e000023f. I tried to check whether that SP2 was installed in part. When I go in the installed updates it have SP2 listed, but when I right click on it gives me no option to delete so I guess it was not installed. By going to computer/properties also confirmed that it is still SP1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated that I like this update because my computer doesn't seem to be good at all currently underway. It takes more than an hour now to intall minor updates.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    Mark

If N360 is no longer installed (and before you reinstall it):

    1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. click right on the file saved in #1 above, and then select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

IMPORTANT! Should not connect your computer to the internet or any network without a fully functional anti-virus application & completely updated installed and an active firewall!

Your misguided (IMHO) use of System Mechanic may have caused your problems. If you think your registry needs to "clean up" or "repaired" and need more convincing that it doe NOT, read http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=28099 and draw your own conclusions.

  • Can I clean install on HP vista 32 to Win 7 Professional 64 with new ssd dv3

    Can someone tell me please

    I have 2 questions:

1: if I enter new SSD in my pavilion dv3, running on vista 32-bit, can I then install new version recently purchased windows 7 Professional 64-bit instead of 32 bit installation, or should it be 32-bit. ?

2: I printed a Wiindows 7 upgrade report and it says that my processor is: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU [email protected] with 3 GB of memory and it says my upgrade options are 32-bit windows 7 Home premium or ultimate. This does not change and will it work with the professional version, because it will be a clean install on a new ssd?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Hello:

    The T6500 is a 64-bit processor.

As a result, you should have no problem upgrade from Vista 32 bit to W7 64-bit.

You must start from the W7 x 64 installation DVD.  You cannot run it from a 32-bit windows desktop.

When you get to the install window now and click Next, the upgrade option will be grayed out.

You must perform a custom (clean) installation when moving from a 32-bit to a 64-bit operating system.

I'm not quite sure on why it is said that you cannot move to W7 Pro if you can upgrade to W7 Ultimate.

  • Can a system pre-installed with Windows Vista be manually downgraded to Windows XP?

Can a system pre-installed with Windows Vista be manually downgraded to Windows XP?

original title: Windows Vista to Windows XP?

Can a system pre-installed with Windows Vista be manually downgraded to Windows XP?

No, you can't downgrade. But you can probably * clean install * Windows XP.

I say "probably" because there is a potential problem with drivers XP being available for all hardware. If the computer is a laptop, this risk is greater. So check with the manufacturer or on their web site to make sure that all the drivers you need do not exist for XP.

  • Can I use Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack (3 users) to install Windows 7 Edition home premium 64 on a desktop computer running the OEM version of Windows Vista Home Premium 32?

My desktop system is an Acer E700 Intel Quad Core 2.4 GHz with 4 GB of RAM and 1 Gig video running Vista Home Premium OEM 32 version. I plan to upgrade the hard disk of 1 tetrabyte before upgrading the OS.  If so, how should I do this?  I have to restore the backup to disk to the new disk before update for Window 7 64?

My second office is already running Vista Home Premium 64 so this upgrade using the family must be right before correct?  Or do I need to backup to the subject programs before moving to Win7 64?

    Thanks in advance.

You will need to do a reformat to perform installation and you reinstall the applications.  There has never been a way to upgrade from x 86 to x 64.  You will need to do is use your x 64 media to install Windows 7 on new hard drive, use your product key on the certificate of authenticity located on the side of the Acer desktop computer.  You will always be the OEM license terms, as you install the same Windows SKU.  Product keys are interchangeable between x 86 and x 64, but you will probably need to call to activate Windows after installation - usually the Internet activation does not work on current versions of Windows using the seller great modes of action.

I think that the decision of the antivirus program is a personal opinion

I put t like McAfee and Norton because they need a lot of system resources and do a slower computer.
I prefer AntiVir and Kaspersky Security suite. The two programs have good scan engine and don t need a lot of system resources. They are easy to use to use it.
AntiVir is free but it s just an antivirus. Kaspersky Security suite also contains a firewall, antispam filter and more.

It s your choice what program you are using. ;)

Generally, Windows 2000 installation should not be a problem and it is not necessary to disable anything in the BIOS.
