Installation diagram HR in Oracle Database 12 c

Hi, for the life of me I can not the HR schema installed.

With OEL6 and Oracle Database Linux 12.1 c

With the help of the wizard and advanced configuration, I chose to include sample patterns. Everything installed OK. However, none have been installed.

I then downloaded the examples file, unzipped, installed. All right.

Tried to follow: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16655_01/server.121/e15979/installation.htm

but also: https://community.oracle.com/message/11234394#11234394

But in vain. I still get the same error:

SP2-0641: "EXECUTE" requires the connection to the server

queue is not currently

Can someone tell me please in the right direction?

Took forever (it's really the first time I use Oracle, no knowledge of database), but I finally got it to work, so I'll mention it right here for others to take advantage if all goes well. As I am new, some of these steps might not even be necessary, I'm not sure

Turns, even if I have included diagrams of the sample in the installation, the only installed pattern was the Scott schema. Unfortunately, that was not the HR schema.

You will need to download the examples of schema file and install it.

Then follow step 1 in the following post:

https://community.Oracle.com/message/11234394#11234394

Who said you have to understand an Earphone for your PDB (not the PEH).

So just add another entry for your PDB if you do not already have one in /u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/network/admin/tnsnames.ora #note: directory names different. Mine was too

Important part is the (SERVICE_NAME = pdborcl) or what is called your PDB.

Stop and start the listener:

lsnrctl stop $

lsnrctl start $

Follow step 2 in the same post above to change the script of human resources which should be /u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/demo/schema/human_resources/hr_main.sql

Or, just manually change the following lines in "BOLD". In the following example I changed it to my PDB called pdbtvts:

REM =======================================================

Grants of REM of the sys schema

REM =======================================================

CONNECT sys/&pass_sys@pdbtvts AS SYSDBA;

REM =======================================================

REM create schema hr objects

REM =======================================================

CONNECT hr/&pass@pdbtvts

Then, it is important that YOU do activate HR user having limited SESSION, otherwise you won't be able to connect. This happened to me.

Thus, under where the user hr has permission (over these lines, us has just edit), add the line in bold below:

GIVING CREATE SESSION, CREATE VIEW, ALTER SESSION, CREATE the SEQUENCE at the time;

GRANT CREATE SYNONYM, CREATE DATABASE LINK, RESOURCE, UNLIMITED TABLESPACE to the hour;

GRANT RESTRICTED SESSION on time;

Now, you need to connect to your PDB. Connect as sysdba as usual, which by default connects you to your PIC.

$ sqlplus / as sysdba

You can see that you are connected to your PIC if you issue 'show con_name '.

SQL > show con_name

CON_NAME

------------------------------

CBD$ ROOT

Connect to your PDB by using the following command "connect sys/XXXXX@pdbtvts as sysdba" where XXXXX is your SYS password

You must be connected to your PDB now.

SQL > show con_name

CON_NAME

------------------------------

PDBTVTS

Now, run the script:

SQL > @?/demo/schema/human_resources/hr_main.sql

You will be guests 5 things

1 hr user password - enter a password

2. name of the default tablespace - type "users."

3. temporary with name - type "temp".

4 SYS password - type your real password SYS

5. connect directory - type in " $ORACLE_HOME /demo/schema/log/ "

If all goes well, you will get:

PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

Make sure you have things:

SQL > select * from hr.employees;

Really hope it works for you as it did for me. Here everything was simple for beginners luck.

    Is it possible to install or upgrade the database using command line

    or if you know any docs on this issue, please provide a link.
    Thanks in advance.

    It is not possible.
    Even a silent installation requires X-Windows.
    It is also not a problem as X-Windows has always been required.

    can anyone recommend the guide of best practices for the installation/design of windows/Linux oracle database servers.

    Microsoft, sql Server, provide a number of useful resources on the evolution of the default parameters that can die of hunger the operating system of resources, where to and where not to store the data in files/logs etc etc, but I've yet to find a similar guide for Oracle. Research on best practices during the installation/initial design in order to avoid the risk of recovery/redundancy later on any line, reliability, availability, performance. Guidance most welcome.

    2 things come to mind with the netca newspaper:

    (1) we use NO HA... it seems that we could ignore that.

    2) 1521 port is NOT in use.  I ran netstat - anpl | grep 1521 in 5 second loop delay when running the installation and it never appeared.

    Does anyone know if there is something different with Centos6.4 or AWS facilities that would cause this?  In addition, the log shows that the installation went well and it was with the configuration.  The spfile does not exist and when root.sh is run after installation, the oratab has no entry ($ORACLE_SID: $ORACLE_HOME: N |) There > does not exist).

    Ideas?

    Found the question in forums of http://stackoverflow.com . We searched before but does not search the correct error. I searched on "information for this listening port is currently in use by other software on this computer." and found a forum thread that we explained our problem.

    We use AWS as our server provider. AWS has 2 IP addresses he uses. We use for PuTTY in and access the server Public and private one located on eth0. Obviously, the private IP address must be in the file/etc/hosts not the public IP address.

    The database installed and is running.

  • Silently installation of Oracle Database 12 c on Ubuntu 14.04. Server

    Hello everyone,

    I try to install the Oracle database 12 c on a headless Ubuntu 14.04 server, using the silent mode of the Oracle Universal Installer with a response file (see attachment). As this Linux distribution does not seem to be officially supported, I followed the instructions, I found in this tutorial, http://tutorialforlinux.com/2014/10/01/how-to-install-oracle-12c-database-for-ubuntu-14-04-trusty-lts-64bit-linux-easy-guide/and was able to install the database software. During installation, as described in the tutorial, I have to change some files makefile in the target installation directory, then click on 'Retry' to continue the installation. Because I need to perform a silent installation, the "Retry" button does not appear and the Installer continues just to complete the installation with the promising message "Oracle 12 c database installation has succeeded.", despite several mistakes of links that I find in the log files. So, I make the suggested changes makefile after installation and retrigger the binding process manually (called "repeat all"), which looks after all ends correctly that I can now run "sqlplus" etc. In addition, I ran the script of post-installation (one of them as a root user), as requested by the installer.

    However, now I find the system without a data base of departure, even though I have it set up in the answer file that I gave to the Oracle Universal Installer. Without doubt, routines important installation required for the configuration of the database have been ignored by the errors of liaison took place. To be complete, they are linking errors I find in the configuration log file (and that I solved it by changing the files makefile and running 'repeat all' after installation):

    Error in invoking target 'all_no_orcl' of makefile ' / home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk'. [...]

    Error invoking the "utilities" in the makefile target ' / home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk'. [...]

    Error in invoking target 'install' of makefile ' / home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/network/lib/ins_net_server.mk'. [...]

    Error in invoking target 'irman ioracle' of makefile ' / home/oracle/app/oracle/product/12.1.0/dbhome_1/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk'. [...]

    Can I rerun the Universal Oracle install from the point where the binding process has failed, i.e., without crushing the makefile changes that I had to perform in the oracle home directory?

    Or is there a way to tell the silent installer to suspend Setup error (giving me the opportunity to resolve the problem immediately) and delivers a 'Retry' to continue the installation from there?

    For development purposes, I need a database of startup clean and fully configured, including pre-installed packages (especially Oracle Spatial).

    Thank you very much for your suggestions!

    Thank you for your answers, I now get a solution to the problem.

    @12cdb: RPM Installation was not an option because it is not recommended on Ubuntu.

    @Srini Vernon-Oracle: I am aware that a Ubuntu system is not an environment supported for installation of database Oracle, as mentioned in my question. There are reasons why the passage to another distribution is not an option in my setup, that's why I asked for advice.

    The solution is the following:

    -Install the database in "Software only" mode (silent, using a response file).

    -Fix the linker errors as described in the tutorial.

    -Recreate a link.

    S ' ensure that the kernel is properly configured as described on this page: http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/LADBI/app_manual.htm#LADBI7866

    -Use "dbca" silently with a response file to create the database.

    Best regards

    Christoph

  • The customer need to oracle database in the installation of the EPM FDM

    Hi all

    I want to install EPM11.1.2.2 products and on one server I install FDM. I checked the condition sine qua non of the installation of FDM and according to the guidelines of this customer database Oracle 32-bit and 64-bit client is necessary.

    I have reg queries following it.

    1. If the Oracle database is installed on the same server, do I need to install both clients of the database as well?

    2. If so, I am trying to install oracle database 32-bit client but the screen is endangered shows no newspaper or mistake, but at the same time 64-bit client is installing successfully?

    It is a symptom of textbooks classic does not have read and followed the original instructions to prepare the downloaded files.  You should have two files zip files.  They both must be decompressed in the same directory.  If you unzip using Windows graphic interface - in right click on the name of the file and selecting "extract all...". "the default behavior will be to create a directory, the same name as the zip file and extract in it.  Thus, file_1_of_2 pulls in directory_1_of_2 and file_2_of_2 extracted in directory_2_of_2.  You must override this stupid behavior by default and specify the directory yourself.  And specify the SAME directory for both files.

    Or just go to a command prompt, change directories to the directory where the two zip files are located and deliver "unzip " and "unzip ", and they will both be properly unpack to a directory named "database".

  • Oracle Database 11 g installation problem: ORA - 12560:TNS: Protocol adapter error.

    People,

    Hello. Initially, my Windows XP host name is 'localhost' and IP 127.0.0.1.

    I installed Oracle Database 11 g with Windows XP successfully and all customers in the database with the database instance running.

    For some reason, I uninstalled all of the database server and remove the whole installation directory /oracle.

    I have configured the address IP of Windows XP in 192.168.196.101 to ping other machines.

    For my needs, I installed Oracle Database 11 g with Windows XP again. During step 7 of 8: Oracle Database Configuration Assistant, I got this error:

    ORA - 12560:TNS: Protocol adapter error.

    I click on the button "Password management", there is no line in this window (no user name, no account of the lock).

    I have check the listener as below:

    C:\ > lsnrctl
    LSNRCTL > start
    His output: earphone HEADSET name has already been started.
    LSNRCTL > status
    Its release:... Service DB1 has 1 instance. The instance BD1 ready state. The command completed successfully.

    I check \Oracle\cfgtoollogs\dbca\DB1\trace file, the entry is:

    Listen [0] = LISTENER address = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP (port = 1522))(HOST=localhost))

    I also check \oracle\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN\SAMPLE\tnsnames.ora file and listener.ora file, the entries are the same as below

    HOST = localhost port = 1522

    I think that HOST = localhost and port = 1522 is the cause of the ORA-12560 error because Windows XP was configured in HOST = 192.168.196.101.

    But I do not understand how to solve this problem.

    Can any folk tell me how to solve this problem? must cancel the installation of 8 on step 7 and install it again?

    Thank you.

    > The problem is that I am installing Oracle Database 11 g with Windows XP

    Why? above is NOT a supported combination.

    What makes you think that it should work without error?

    Hi Mady,

    We do not have everthing on a box, but also use all 64 bits.
    Client Oracle is 11.2.0.3

    I checked
    Oracle JDBC/THIN Interface
    Oracle Call Interface

    ODBC Oracle driver
    Objects for OLE Oracle
    Oracle OLE DB provider
    Oracle Data Provider for .NET

  • Options of the Web server for the Installation of the APEX on Oracle Database 10g

    Hello. We are installing an APEX on a test server that runs the Oracle 10 g 10.2.0.4.0 database. As I understand it there are two Web Server Options:

    (1) oracle HTTP Server (Apache)
    (2) oracle Application Express listener

    Do both of these jobs for Oracle Database 10 g 10.2.0.4.0? I thought I remember reading somewhere that only the Oracle Application Express listener only works with version 11 database or higher.

    Do both of these jobs for Oracle Database 10 g 10.2.0.4.0?

    Yes.

    I thought I remember reading somewhere that only the Oracle Application Express listener only works with version 11 database or higher.

    No, only the restriction (except 10 g XE) applies to the third option of web server that you have not mentioned: Embedded PL/SQL Gateway (EPG), such as discussed in your previous thread: + {: identifier of the thread = 2201975} +.
