  • OIM/OAM 11 g load balancing

    Hello

I want to configure a load balancer for OIM/OAM 11 g access servers. Please let me know the steps or provide me with any document if someone.

    Hello
You must use Oracle HTTP Server (mod_wls_ohs) for load balancing between the OIM/OAM and Web tear. Please see this link http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17904_01/core.1111/e10106/imha.htm.

  • Two shared the Application layer without load balancer

    Hi all

I created the system of Application of layer two without the load balancer.

    EBS: 12.1.3 DB: 11.2

    I have two URLS:

    https://XYZ:8002/OA_HTML/APPSLocalLogin.jsp

    https://ABC:8002/OA_HTML/APPSLocalLogin.jsp

I run the auctoconfig on the last node abc. When I try to access the https://xyz:8002/OA_HTML/APPSLocalLogin.jsp, it automatically redirects to https://abc:8002/OA_HTML/APPSLocalLogin.jsp

If autoconfig on xyz last execution, https://abc:8002/OA_HTML/APPSLocalLogin.jsp URL automatically redirects to https://xyz:8002/OA_HTML/APPSLocalLogin.jsp.

I know in 11i is the behavior, but according to my understanding in R12 this shouldn't ' e be the case because another application works very well.

  • Inbound load balancing

    Hello

My ESX Server have 1 configured vSwitch and VM (with the same proposal and parameters) 3 connected to the vSwitch. I need all incoming traffic to be distributed among 3 different VM in how to make inbound load balancing. How can I get this behavior?

There is a configuration that I can apply in the vSwitch or some kind of?

As a reference, the app I'm running in the VM 3 is BMC Remedy.

  • Best way to HTTP in OSB load balancing

    Hello world

We have a cluster of OSB and we must load balance HTTP requests on managed servers. Looking for info on OSB in load balancing, I found that there are essentially two options: use a hardware load balancer or a software solution like Weblogic HttpClusterServlet. For the moment, we have without balancer material available so we will have to take the option of software. I found a few articles on the configuration of HttpClusterServlet as http://redstack.wordpress.com/2010/12/20/using-weblogic-as-a-load-balancer.
But I have a question for this configuration. If we use a managed server as a proxy HTTP requests between OSB as managed servers, what would happen if the server goes down? I think that one of the main objectives of a cluster deployment is to avoid a single point of failure, but with this configuration, all requests depend on the availability of the managed proxy server.

Could you recommend a configuration of implementation of OSB load balancing?

    Thank you in advance,

    Daniel.

Load Balancing in a cluster for http requests can be made using at least 4 different ways:

    (1) - use a hardware load balancer like F5 BigIP LTM
    (2) - use a web server with the plugin from weblogic to the cluster frontend
    (3) - use weblogic with HTTPClusterServlet
    (4) - use the DNS round robin - it works if you managed servers that run on 2 machines (say mach1, mach2) but on the same port. Client HTTP use hostname "mach" to access the URL and the dns has a resolution of names alternating Mach mach 1 and mach2 IP addresses...

All options except (1) only achieve load balancing and not automatically failover all instances... Balancing load material has the additional feature to probe [sending periodic pings to targets], by which it can detect if the target resource is alive and do not send traffic to other nodes who are alive... That's why the hardware load balancers are worth their investment...
other options may work if the client is encoded to a retry on failure... so on 2nd or subsequent attempt, the routing is done in the machine that is alive...

For the options (1), (2)) and (3), you also need a redundancy of the system (material of load balancer, web server or weblogic) to avoid the single point of failure for load balancing... Balancers support material are usually deployed in redundant pairs to achieve...

  • With forms 10g server load balancing

    Hello

I have a client who is just now dealing with a migration from a platform of client-server 6i (using Terminal servers) to a platform of web forms 10 g with several application 10 g standalone servers.

In the end, customer wants to activate load balancing in order to have some manage to each application server workload.

The idea to accomplish is to have a hardware load balancer. The customer has already a CISCO CSS 11503 SSL.
Is there a documentation where I can check more info on compatibility/configuration for this architecture.

    Thank you for your attention.

  • Hyperion 11.1.2.3 Linux load balancing installation - how to test?

    Hi all

I installed the version Hyperion 11.1.2.3 on 2 Server (6) of Linux. We installed the Foundation Hyperion Planning and Essbase on Server1. Hyperion Planning on Server2 (Load balance).

Installation and configuration performed and workspace, planning of work in both servers. In the Weblogic planning Cluster is created by EMP Configurator only and deployed Planning0, planning of the depenses1 servers.

Now how to test the load balancing happens or not?

    Thank you

    Mady

As demand would go through web server (OHS), first thing to try would be to stop planning0 and check if you are able to do things, then vice - versa. By default, I think that the load balancing would be responsive, so as the first request goes to planning0 then the depenses1 planning and planning0.

    Thank you

  • The storage load balancing process

We have a group of 4 members, total approximately 30 TB of space. In the past, we had a lot of volumes of 500 GB for ESX, after the installation of the ESXi5.1, we use higher volumes, about 1.5 TB. So there are a lot of changes in the storage pool. We find that the EQ is balancing of storage compared to 4 members as expected. We thought it was over two or three days agoo, but now he's balancing... then again for a couple of day all volumes are spread over 3 members, also, as expected, but he decides to charge storage it swings again... and again...  It is coming to an end sometimes?

We have another group with 4 members and also the same amount of space, but it we do not use the 1.5 TB volumes again... here, we see that EQ is continuous storage load balancing pool.

Im not worried yet :)), but whenever volumes are redestributing compared to members, it does not follow on some reconnects for ESX as the part of a volume can and will reside on another Member where on that time esx is not a connection to that session at that time.

    Hello René,.

It will not be stuck in a loop.  Part of the balance to the maintenance of free space between the members.  So when several pages are written to a specific member, space balancing will create plans to move the blocks to the other members to free up space on this member.  It's an ongoing balancing act.  In addition, extended periods of heavy i/o load balancer Advanced Performance will swap pages in order to compensate for the latency between members.

  • TMS 14.5 and redundancy with F5 load balancing

    Hello

I'm looking in the installation guide for TMS 14.5 to design redundancy TMS with the F5 for one of my clients. I wonder if there is any requirement of specific network for the TMS1, TMS2 and F5 must be in the same VLAN or not. My client have a TMS with TMSPE and deploy the TMS Server 2nd in different data center and will use existing F5 load balancing. They cannot have the same VLAN as a current TMS server in the new data where 2nd MSDS server will be Center. Existing F5 load balancing is also, in the VLAN different already.

y at - there no specific review we need to take care of the redundancy?

    Thank you

    Chris

As the TMS 14.4, TMS no longer an active/active load-balanced mode and now works as active/passive.

You can find the details in the "Configure a redundant deployment" section of the Installation of TMS and Upgrade Guide (latest version 14.6 related).

As long as both devices are accessible (and your F5 can route traffic to each of them according to the needs), it does not matter what VLAN, subnet or a location that each MSDS server resides on.  Information of VLAN in the guide are just one example of how it can be configured in a simple load balancing scenario.

  • The implementation of hyperion IR application load balancing while 2 servers point to a DB?

There is a DB production. Some time need to configure the load balancer for Hyperion interactive report achieve high availability.

As know there are a lot of method to implement load balancing, want to know if

given two machines virtual (each of them has its own application server), and two of them going to point to the same DB via shared Assembly called/U01 player.

After the official documentations of oracle documented, there are scarce resources can refer to, any who knew this case of configuration before?

    Hello

We have implemented this type of solution:

    (1) server 1: install and configure in usual way. Better to use different patterns for each product.

When you configure Reporting and analysis framework services give repository location as shared drive location.

    (2) server 2: Installation of any product that has been installed in the server 1. While configure the database for the shared services registry point to detail diagram 1 server, it automatically configure the database for all the other remaining products.

When you configure Reporting and analysis framework services give location of the repository as a shared drive which gave in Server 1.

Make sure that the Shared disk is accessible from both servers.

You can deploy applications weblogic Server from Server 2 by giving details of server 1. ensure that the weblogic Server 1 service must always be upward and running for Server 2 workspace to work.

So if we set up the web server in both servers, then you must have load balancer and configure logical web address to this server for load balancing.

If you configure only in one of the server, then this workspace server that url will act as load swing url.the problem with this is always THAT OSH must be running or workspace url will not work

    hope you understood.

  • Can someone tell me what the recommendation of Oracle is on how to best configure the load balancer?

We are currently using the "configuration.properties" file to identify load balancing our servers, but we are curious to see if it is the recommended method to configure load balancing, or if there is a better way.

I opened a case with Oracle support and asked the same questions - entry configuration.properties of the file servers is the only supported method used by Peoplesoft to balancing upward through 8.54.

  • Hyperion Planning11.1.2.3. Server load balancing

We will install and configure Hyperion planning in the cluster environment. After you have configured the servers planning successfully how to implement load balancing. Do we need to use hardware or software load balancing. I have no idea on balancers load. We must use to configure logical address that points to the load balancer server but do not know how the load balancing server must be? Please notify.

Install all along planning to Server1 products and configure them.

Go to Server2, install only the planning and deploy using the same database.

WebLogic will create 2 (Plannin0, planning of the depenses1) servers in single Cluster (using the Round robin algorithm).

Thus, at the time of access automatically weblogic will redirect requests internally.

    Thank you
