Installation of a new operating system on a windows 7.
Greetings;
So, we can not update-it is a Windows 7. It will not update windows at all regarding the updates. No update anything.
So, we thought to change the operating system.
Can we just get another operating system and get the disk to install the OS? Is that all he has to install a new operating system? We are beginners and anything complicated so it is not for us.
But, given that windows 7 does not update at all-it continues checking and updates - but nothing. We are tired of shoot with it.
So, how difficult is it to install a new operating system? We thought of Windows 8.1 because it is a Windows 7.
Got the unit refurbished with windows 7.
We are to our intelligence end here with this machine and right now would like a hammer to the machine. But we hope a good news for us the question.
We would appreciate any help here-HELP!
Carol

Hey there,
I think to get the Premiere Pro, which requires that the new Mac operating system. But I installed the other Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Indesign etc years ago. These work on my current operating system (= Mac OS X 10.8.5).) Anyway, now I wonder if my programs already installed Adobe might work after the installation of the new operating system.
Any ideas what to do?
Thank you very much.
Yes, they will work in the new OS.

Dell technicians had me buy a new disk, Windows 7 OS, which I installed it yesterday. A few minutes before, a phone call came in saying they were calling from Microsoft and I wanted to scan for free because I bought a product at Microsoft. They had me download software teamviewer.com, ccleaner, malware, spyware superantii. They ran scans and said I was infected and I should buy these software packages for $79. Is this a real service of Microsoft? I still have these software on my computer, I have to delete them? What other threats may be present, if it is not a true service of Microsoft?

I want to format the hard drive... .and I was wondering if I can both HP_TOOLS & recovery format safely
and please tell me if I can not and why...
for your information: I deleted the windows comes with my laptop and installed windows 8
Please help me as soom as possible...
Thank you...
Hello
In this case, you can delete the partitions - as you have already removed the original operating system, you would not be able to create a set of recovery discs from the recovery Partition that you have lost the application Recovery Manager required to create, but you can always order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below.
If you ever need it, the HP_TOOLS partition can be re-created by downloading and installing the software on the link below.

Can't use Sync after the installation of the new operating system
Hello. I was using 32 bit Windows 7 until this morning. I formatted my laptop and installed Windows 8.1 x 64.
I installed firefox and the sync with my account but sync connection didn't bring back my information.
I have reset my password and I tried again, but the result was the same.I have the recovery sync key so I tried this:
I tried to switch to firefox > options > synchronization > sync Setup > I have an account > I don't have the camera with me to link firefox to your existing account option, but there is only "create a new account" and "log in" options.
There is no option to use the recovery key. Please help me. I can't recover my bookmarks, passwords and extensions.Hello Atikun, 29 and back up firefox is using a different synchronization system that is not compatible with the establishment of accounts in older versions.
in this case, you'd probably have to use a workaround and download the previous firefox version, disable the automatic update for the moment (in options > advanced > update), bind it to the old account synchronization and upgrade after you successfully restore your data in this way...
Install an older version of Firefox
Synchronize your bookmarks Firefox, history, passwords, etc. -

No, you will need a license of full version for Windows 7 or 64-bit Windows 8. You cannot install an upgrade on a blank partition.
There is no full retail version of Windows 8. If you need a full version, you will need to purchase the Pro OEM Windows 8 of new eggs. To do this, install an own custom.

Battery consumption after the installation of the new operating system
I installed the new OS update and my battery drains with in 4 hours. (Before the update, the battery used to last 12 hours) Is there a cure for this?
Thank you
First, connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, let the screen off and do nothing for a long period of time. Leave it plugged in all night while you sleep is perfect for that.
Then, restart your iPhone by pressing and maintaining the sleep/wake and home buttons.
You can also try following the suggestions of battery life. Go to settings > farm > find 'Suggestions of battery life.
In addition, it is preferable to follow the Apple recommendations given in this article http://www.apple.com/batteries/maximizing-performance/

had to install the new operating system and bookmarks are gone
Hiya. I had problems with the computer and the fix was to install a new operating system (windows 7 it was old, windows 8 is the new). Most of my old files make the switch, but when I downloaded firefox, my favorites have disappeared. I looked in my profile in the menu, but it's the profile that I created today by downloading firefox. Where can I find my old profile? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you, Billy
Was this an upgrade of type "on the spot" where your user folder
C:\Users\youroldusername\
was intact, or did you end up with a new user folder? In the case of a new user folder, you will find a folder named
C:\Windows.old\Users\youroldusername\
If so, your Firefox data are probably here - and here's how I suggest to access:
First of all, it would be useful to set windows to display the hidden files and folders. This article has the steps: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files
Then click in:
Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles C:\Windows.old\Users\
Note: there is a cache under AppData\Local folder, but everything important is under AppData\Roaming.
Here you can find one or several folders named random semi. Who has most recently updated content is probably one you want to restore.
This post has my suggested procedure to resurrect these data in your new installation of Firefox. Please note the use of the copy instead of move throughout the process. This allows you to try again if it fails somewhere along the way.
https://support.Mozilla.org/questions/1024189#answer-638319
A little luck?
Note that if you really ONLY want to bookmark, copy the last two backups of the old bookmarkbackups folder to a location such as the desktop, see the following article (you will use 'Choose file' in the menu to access these backups): restoring bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer. Note that this process will replace all new bookmarks that you may have saved since installing Firefox again. If you need to preserve those, first use the export feature: Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file for backup or transfer bookmarks.

I upgraded my computer, adding a second hard disk for a new operating system and kept the old drive as a data disc. I assumed that I could install Firefox on the new disk and import my favorites from the old installation of Mozilla on the old disk. I can't find the files on the old drive with my favorites. They're still here, or when I reinstalled Firefox, I lost everything even if it was on another drive? I can't find the backup on the old disk files and want to restore my old favorites. Is it possible to do this?
You must find your profile folder in the old drive, the way in which must be:
- First display the hidden files and folders:
- Then go to:
- < old drive >: \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles \Users\ < username >
- Enter in your profile, and then enter the folder bookmarkbackups .
- Copy the latest file from json (backup of bookmarks)
- Then restore from them:
- First display the hidden files and folders:

synchronization of bookmarks on the new operating system
Computer work migrated to a new operating system (XP to W7), I created an account to sync to save bookmarks and versions etc. the installation. How can I get my info on the computer? I tried "Pair the device", but this is the same computer, and the option does not work.
Hello vanaya2002, firefox sync was not primarily as a backup service, but to keep multiple devices on the same plane.
in order to access the data in your sync account, you would need three elements: user name, the password and the recovery key that is generated when the original configuration of the account.
where you have all these three pieces of information, you can go to firefox > options > synchronization > sync Setup > I have an account > I don't have the camera with me to link firefox to your existing account. -
New operating system drivers has not transferred
I recently bought a HP Pavilion DV7, product number: LW174UA #ABA of my friend and decided to install a new operating system on it. My boyfriend does me a lot about what was wrong with it, other that he ran a little slow. I thought it was pretty cheap and I could easily throw this topic, rather than use Windows 8.1 Windows 7 x 64 x 64 which he had installed on it earlier and use it as sort of a backup on my desk.
I installed a new copy of Windows 7 Professional x 64 on it, and when the installation is complete, I noticed I could not access the internet or use usb drives. I went into the Device Manager and discovered that a handful of decives had the symbol explanation of warning yellow triangle next to them. I looked the problem quickly and noticed most of them had error Code 28. He told me I need to install the drivers for the parties.
Well, that shouldn't be too difficult. I found the WiFi driver and installed. The problem has been resolved (temporarily) and I could access the internet.
After searching through forums, I discovered that my usb problem can be many different questions. Then, I came to the conclusion that an updated service pack (since I couldn't find the usb drivers) should solve the problem. No, the usb drivers still have not been properly installed. In addition to this, the internet now truns on and outside. I'll have access for a few seconds and then my computer tells me that I have not any conntections.
Is anyone know what I got wrong or where I can find drivers that might solve this problem?
I already went to the site of HP drivers and installed most of the pilots. Things like the finger print scanner, that I am not too concerned by at the moment so I jumped on those.
Hello:
All the drivers you need are on the support page...
The problem is one of 3 controllers different usb 3 that could have been used in your machine.
So for all the devices that need drivers, click on each of them and display the ID of the equipment for them.
I will guide you how to find the hardware for the USB controller ID...
Click on the USB controller needing a driver in Device Manager,
Then click on the Details tab in the upper part of the window of the usb controller.
Now, you see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the description of the unit.
On this list and select the hardware identification label.
After the first string of characters you see in the window.

Have a Dell system, caught a virus and it has really messed up the PC. Recently, it got worse so I tried to reinstall the operating system with the Dell disks. It wouldn't work. So I bought for Windows 7 Professional, it will not be installed. My first question when installing a new operating system isn't automatically wipe the hard disk, create a new partition, and then install the operating system? Because this does the same as the Dell disks, is to take what is on the hard drive and put it in a folder called windows old, is not formatting the HD. When I boot the disk, it shows the installation of files then open windows and start the installation. Before he could finish I get an error missing or corrupted files. Tried several times now, windows will still not open. Any suggestions? Once while trying to install the pc crashed with a blue screen which is one of the reasons why I have reinstall the OS, he started to plant a few times. I don't remember all the details on my PC, but its 4 years, triple core coprocessors, ram 8 GB, 500 GB HD. At the same time just after all this started in Jan. I had also improved my 3 GB to 8 GB memory. I bought the Dell memory for my system. Since the crash, could there be a problem with these new memory chips? Last night I tried to disassemble each and reinstalling it, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Before I tried to reinstall the operating system, the pc was see the concert 8.

Disconnect any other (additional) internal hard drives and external USB devices.
Look for any loose hard drive power or cables SATA, graphics card or other power cables.First run Memtest86 +:

Hi R0w1% 40nd,
Adobe Photoshop CS v.8 and Lightroom 2 v.2.4. are very old software and the operating system you are using is the most recent, so there may be compatibility issues that adobe has not tested these applications on newer operating systems.
The installer for Adobe Photoshop CS v.8 and Lightroom 2 v.2.4. are no longer available.

I'm on Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate with SP1 installed.
Someone knows how to fix this?
Note: I had to do a complete repair of my operating system with the installation disc of Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate SP1 a few weeks ago. This should not have such an effect.
Also, when I try to install 6.0.3 I get this message:
Best regards
T
PS: Already uninstalled my AV well as disabled to Defender. No other AV or similar tool is running. No change in behavior. VMware Player 5.5 installs ok, but cannot be updated. VMWare Workstation has this issue too and forced installation gives the uninstall error "MSI" failed. " No suggestion works here. Removed all the entries from the registry and the file system. It seems no more, I missed something, or there is a flag somewhere unrelated to "VMware" something in the system hidden.
PPS: I am full administrator.
No worries.
I checked again the LUA file and noticed that it says version 5.0.0 to version VMware Player. I guess that there is a big mess in my system. I finally managed to install version 7 with a little force. Here my steps:
1. open the cmd command prompt (to be on the safe side as administrator * lol *).
2 extract the installation package:
\VMware-Player-7.0.0-2305329.exe/e \VMwarePlayer7 3. go to the folder<>
4 run the command (if the installation is not allowed)
VMwarePlayer.msi EULAS_AGREED = 1
I hope this helps others as well
