Installation of an optical disc (SD-2212) in a Satellite 1900 305 drive

The SD-2212 drive in my laptop failed.

I bought an identical car, turned off the laptop, installed the new drive, back running the laptop and the drive is not found. I took the drive and replaced an old and preformed a restore of the system without result.

I tried scanning manually the laptop for the new material to nothing does not. The computer is now is no longer the old or new car!

Help, please!

I guess that you may have about a Superdrive replacement for your MacBook Pro 2009.

  • Addition of optical disc to Satellite Pro L830-17 t

I just bought a Satellite Pro L830-17 t that has no optical drive. I would like to add one, but I noticed a video on the strange replacement on similar models, there is a bracket for the reader.

This is necessary and if so where would I get a?

Optical disc drive is fixed with a screw. For this you need a small piece of metal that must be fixed directly on the ODD. To be honest, it is not easy to just buy it. What you can try is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. I hope that they can order it for you.

You can also get some info on these updates.
I found information that some L830 models with ODD have Matsu * a STRANGE UJ862ABTJ-M indoors.

  • Re: Satellite L500D - cannot get the optical disc drive to work

Back again with this problem and this thread began again as it appears the original thread has been 'locked' ~ been awhile so it is aceptable.

I think that the TS-L633C TSST DVD/CD RW on my system is in fact die slowly, now I can not yet use Toshiba DVD PLAYER to watch DVDs. See http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=204206#204206 for the story.

Using the windows tool "FixIt" on a blank DVD got all green ticks OK but when I went to play DVDs ~ nothing!

How the reader '' hunt '' when I put any DVD in it and then fails, suggests that the reader was not not little by little and I must be looking for a new. Shame really, because I haven't used at all, hence the long time between my responses on this forum.

    So OK, where from here.

Nearest service center is a 5 hour drive, and I will send this laptop for my financial and other stuff done busy resourses is more allow me to simply replace this system and start from scratch.

I'm ready to buy another drive, but cannot locate any online (new) and I am not aware if there are other brands / types which would be appropriate.

    Toshiba Satellite L500D-PSLKOA-00U009 - TSST TS-L633C DVD/CD RW

    Any ideas anyone?

To be honest, the situation is strange to me, and I think that you spent too long with all this.

In my opinion, you have to manage fast. The fist issue is: either defective or not ODD?
The reasons why it doesn't work with a Toshiba DVD player is not relevant at all. You can test it with VLC media player to see how it works.

So I recommend you to follow:
You should not change your preinstalled operating system that you use for work or anything else. Try to get another HARD drive. Swap and install the OS by using recovery disc. Test the functionality of the WEIRD with the settings to be sure that the problem persists or not.

In the end, if you are willing to trade the player s check Manual of use and you will be find the list of all compatible optical disc readers you can use with your model of laptop.

    Hello

Here is the information of the disc for PES 10 box-

Disc 1: for the installation of PSE10 (32 bit OS Win) and PREVIOUS 10 (trail, Win 32 bit OS).

Disc 2: for the installation of PREVIOUS 10 (essay, 64 bit OS Win).

Disc 3: for the installation of PES 10 (32-bit, MAC OS) and PREVIOUS 10 (essay, 32-bit MAC OS).

PSE10 is 32-bit only. That's why it will work on 32-bit and 64-bit OS Win. For PRE 64 bit machine Win, you must use the #2 drive.

In your case (Win 7 64 bit) you should use-

    Disc # 1 - install 10 PSE (32-bit mode).

    Disc # 2 - install PRE 10 (64-bit).

and then, your installation will be complete.

Let me know if you have another doubt.

  • Recovery disc is not compatible with newly improved hard drive

Product name: HP Pavilion DV6-3042tx laptop

    Product number: WY364PA #ABG

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit (pre-installed)

    Error message:

"This PC is not supported by the system recovery discs.

You can continue to recover this system with these discs. »

After you run a memory test, the results suggested replacing the preinstalled hard drive. I bought a new hard drive similar to the pre-installed, but with a capacity of 750 GB rather than 640 GB and has installed successfully. I then use the recovery disks created by the recovery program to install the original OS from the old hard drive to the new hard drive. Windows started to boot normally until a message appears indicating the error message is on top. What should I do now?

    Hello:

I would just do this if you read the MS product key 25 character on the bottom of your laptop...

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-Windows-7-SP1-ISO-from-Digital-River/

Or you can order a set of factory HP recovery discs and I hope they will work.

  • Satellite 1900-102: power management utility installs in XP SP2

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone has encountered thi problem before:

I had to uninstall the Toshiba power management utility (version 1.3 for the Satellite 1900 102 running XP SP2). When I tried to re - install the installer launches and I get a message saying "Invalid Handle" followed by the error "unable to install this version of the utility of toshiba to your system power management" and Setup stops.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

    Why you reinstall this utility?
As far as I know on the Toshiba site are drivers. One for the other for WinXp and Win2k.
Have you tried to install the correct driver?

  • HP recovery discs - Vista - can be installed on a smaller drive?

    HP M9340D Windows Vista bits.

Original HD was 750G.  Can I use a low cost from 500G to reinstall using system restore disks?

System Restore had no problem overwhelming on a WD 1 TB disk partitions (I don't know the resulting size because it wasn't intentional and I need the data recovery attempt - in another post).

    Hello:

It's a good question, and without trying to see what's going on, I can't tell you for sure.

The image was built for your PC, as it came from the factory.

I highly doubt you had over 500 GB of data on the image, so, in theory, your recovery discs should work on a 500 GB HARD drive.

I would speculate that if there is more data on the recovery disks than the hard disk size, they would not work.

I read comments from people who have installed, say 64 GB SSD and tried to use their recovery disks and disk insufficient size HARD errors.

You have to roll the dice on that one.

  • Installation of Windows XP on TecraS3 with a 320 GB SATA hard drive

    Hallo,
during the installation of Windows XP on a Tecra S3-SATA hard drive is not discovered.

    Details:
Laptop: Toshiba Tecra S3, model PTS30E
    Hard drive: Toshiba MK3252GSX 320 S - ATA
    Driver used: raid-drv - 20071023162302.zip (from Toshiba)
    Toshiba-support document: TSB001272

For the installation of Windows I used correspondent support-Toshiba-document 'TSB001272' the external driver for SATA. The disk with the driver is used for installation, but the hard drive is still unknown.

PS: The Linux Suse 10.2 installation runs without problem.

Question: Who knows the good driver for Windows XP? Thank you.

    Manfred Alpers

    > For the Windows installation I used correspondent support-Toshiba-document 'TSB001272' the external driver for SATA. The disk with the driver is used for installation, but the hard drive is still unknown.

I think you mean this Toshiba document:

Hey buddy the RAID driver can be found on the Toshiba driver page.
Use this driver as part of the tool called nLite. You can create a new XP CD and could include the RAID driver using this free tool.

I did this procedure several times and it still worked!

  • Satellite 1900-303: after Xp installation no sound

    Hello

I recently had to do a complete reinstall of Windows XP.
After installation I have no sound, although the window drivers are installed and the device is functioning properly.
Also I have more driver bundled with the laptop disk and can't seem to find all downloads for drivers vga, I need.

Please can someone point me in the right direction for a solutiion or where to find the drivers.
The vga driver update on the Web from Toshiba site said that I need to first install the original.

    Thanks in advance

Looks like you need the XP drivers to solve all your problems of ;)
That s very easy, I assume you didn't check the page of the European driver Toshiba exactly.

Satellite 1900-303 is an oldie and therefore all the drivers have been moved to the * category of ARCHIVE.
I would recommend to research in the field of archives on the European driver Toshiba page.

I m that you will succeed.

"Windows cannot format this drive. "Leave all utility disc or other programs that could use this drive.

    Hello

Check if you are able to format drive C in a clean boot state.

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
    1. click on start and then click Run.
    2. type msconfig and click OK.

The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    3. click on the tab general, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
    4. When prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Warning: Formatting the drive will remove or erase all the data on that drive.
