Installation of Dreamweaver CS3 on Vista Home Prem
HelloI just got a new laptop with Vista Home Premium installed and tried to install Dreamweaver CS3. The first day, it seemed to work fine until I received a message stating that registration was not catestrophically. He is then arrested and I have been unable to run since.
I uninstalled the program, verified that all previous facilities were registered and installed again.
When I double click to run the application, I get the icon of the small circle I guess replaces the hourglass in vista but then after a second or two, he disappears and nothing happens.
I tried to uninstall, repair installation, but in vain. I even tried to set the clock before the time change last month as having caused a problem on the XP install on the old computer but nothing seems to work - does anyone have any ideas?
I had a quick glance around forums but not really came with something.
Thanks in advance
Try to use the Windows restore to go back a few days before the initial installation took place. Then when you run the installer right click to run the installer as administrator, so it has all the privileges, you need to install.
If that's what did you the first time, come back and we can go from there.

I can't install or Uninstall CS3. What happens after I put the software disc and get the prompt to install the program initializes and its been the initialization of the window disappears and nothing, you can wait and wait and nothing happens. I ctl-alt-del to see if the CS3 installer was still running, and it was. I stopped and tried to run under XP pk2 and admin, the same thing. Then I tried to delete what that installed CS3 and it does not respond. Program files watch CS3 on my computer but its partial and not the full thing. I try to look for where the pieces of the program are so I can uninstall it manually but I don't find nothing except a Readme html. I also disabled user account control turned off all programs that run in the background and don't reinstall, no response identical to the first time. Help!"gellegbs" wrote in message

Hello
When I turn on the laptop, all I get is a black screen after screen of the bios at startup. Never done anywhere. He won't let me go in safe mode, it will not go to any login screen. I tried Startup Repair with Vista disc, and he says that it's been fixed, but still does not start. I've done it many times. I tried to let the part installation that moves the windows to the windows.old and creates a new copy of windows, and this did not fix it. I tried hitting CTRL-ALT-DEL in the black screen and this causing the laptop to reboot.
If anyone has any ideas, maybe something, I may have missed. I tried almost everything people have posted here. I wouldn't completely re - install if I have to.

Vista Home Prem SFC/scannow__
Having read the previous questions answered forum, I did the sfc/scannow and my WRP found not able to repair corrupt files... To be perfectly honest with you, I bought this pc 2007 - Vista home Prem was already not installed no drive. I saw an answer to no disc 32-bit vista problem... so the vistax64 is what I am suppose to use. I don't think I have enough ram to make a 32 to 64... If I had the $$$ to buy more ram... I would just buy another pc at low price... I know that it is from viruses... I did the malware and spybot... I did secure network mode...
Hi antweeeza,
In order to fix the system files corrupted on the computer, you will need to have the Windows vista installation disc.
Use the Windows Vista installation DVD to perform an upgrade on the spot. An in place upgrade keeps as much of your personal data and settings as possible and just replace all the system files on the computer.
For more information please see the link below the option 1 section.

can I switch from 32-bit win vista home prem 64-bit win vista home prem?
can I switch from 32-bit win vista home prem 64-bit win vista home prem?
Yes, you can, but you need to back up and do a custom installation. There is no place on the way to upgrade from Windows Vista 32 bit to 64 bit.
Installation and relocation of Windows Vista
Back up your files - Microsoft Corporation: software, Smartphones...Boot from the Windows Vista DVD
Click Install now
Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows Vista click Next.
You will receive the following warning:
The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.
(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK
The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.
Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.
You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

How can I add a screensaver for Vista Home Prem 64 bit
I tried to add screensavers on my Vista Home Prem 64 bit OEM OS home built office & they will not install on the menu screen saver. They are installed in the system, but they will not show for use in the screen saver settings. I also have another problem... when I download some programs they not add a shortcut on the desktop or the program from the button start all programs list. I have to go to my C drive & find them in programs / programs x 86 and then create a shortcut. Someone at - it a fix for these problems?
See if the screen saver is installed in the folder System32, and not the SYSWOW64 folder?
"Third party screensavers in Vista 64 tend to settle in the wrong directory. The .scr file needs to go to SYSWOW64 instead of System32... where you will find this as they are probably. Simply transfer them in 64-bit file and they should be displayed."
http://www.Vistax64.com/general-discussion/100968-screensaver.html
When you install everything that comes with a Setup.exe, right-click on the .exe and select the "Run as Administrator" option. See if that gets your sorted shortcuts. Same thing with screensavers if they come as a Setup.exe.
