Cannot install Dreamweaver CS3 on Vista Home Basic

Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit
Compaq Persario

I can't install or Uninstall CS3. What happens after I put the software disc and get the prompt to install the program initializes and its been the initialization of the window disappears and nothing, you can wait and wait and nothing happens. I ctl-alt-del to see if the CS3 installer was still running, and it was. I stopped and tried to run under XP pk2 and admin, the same thing. Then I tried to delete what that installed CS3 and it does not respond. Program files watch CS3 on my computer but its partial and not the full thing. I try to look for where the pieces of the program are so I can uninstall it manually but I don't find nothing except a Readme html. I also disabled user account control turned off all programs that run in the background and don't reinstall, no response identical to the first time. Help!

  • Installation of Dreamweaver CS3 on Vista Home Prem

    Hello

I just got a new laptop with Vista Home Premium installed and tried to install Dreamweaver CS3. The first day, it seemed to work fine until I received a message stating that registration was not catestrophically. He is then arrested and I have been unable to run since.

I uninstalled the program, verified that all previous facilities were registered and installed again.

When I double click to run the application, I get the icon of the small circle I guess replaces the hourglass in vista but then after a second or two, he disappears and nothing happens.

I tried to uninstall, repair installation, but in vain. I even tried to set the clock before the time change last month as having caused a problem on the XP install on the old computer but nothing seems to work - does anyone have any ideas?

I had a quick glance around forums but not really came with something.

    Thanks in advance

Try to use the Windows restore to go back a few days before the initial installation took place. Then when you run the installer right click to run the installer as administrator, so it has all the privileges, you need to install.

If that's what did you the first time, come back and we can go from there.

Using Windows Update and stand-alone update, I can't install the Update 938371 (which I believe is a sine qua non for SP1) on my Vista Home Premium laptop.

When I try to do, I get an error 800b0100. I tried the system preparation tool, I even tried the fix XP (for re-registration of dll), but doesn't seem to work.

You cannot uninstall a running operating system.  The best you can do is wipe the hard drive and start over, but which will also remove all programs and documents.

  • Vista Home Basic Edition does install in a dell inspiron 1440.

I bought a laptop that did not come with an operating system because I happened to have a Vista Home Basic installation disc that came with my previous laptop. so I tried to install the operating system, but after that the display shows "windows is loading files...". "this message appears:

Windows has encountered an error... file cannot be found or corrupted.

    file: windows/system32/boot/winload.exe

    error code: 0-xC0000001

What does that mean? I tried twice to reinsert the disc and redo everything but shows same message. is there something wrong with the installation disc? Should what I do to fix this? Thank youi so much.

Recovery of the computer disks are often related to the hardware of the computer that they came with.

Also, you have rules of licensing:

If Vista is preinstalled on your other laptop, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

      4. Right click on the device that has the problem, and then click Properties. This opens the device properties dialog box. You can see the error code in the State of the device of this dialog box.
    2. Use the Troubleshooting Wizard, if it is available, to help you diagnose and solve your problem.

    Hi il898,

This can also occur if the installation files are broken or missing for the program which may be reason for the program does not appear in uninstall a program from the list.

I suggest that you run the program to install the program again and check if you get an option to uninstall the program and try to uninstall the program.

Here are all LEGAL for Vista:

How to get Vista recovery Media or the Vista recovery Partition on your computer back to factory settings.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
