  I found the problem. I think that might help:

  There are file called "." Oracle.products. "on the middleware House and this file list all EMP products installed, and the version.»

  On my system, some binairies for windows client are not upgraded by the exit option EMP interview (products such as EAS, customer Essbase Studio etc.). Even after the relocation of these customers, the file is not updated.

  So I just changed the version of all my products to EMP 11.1.2.3 on the file and now EMP facility let me choose 'new installation' or reinstall"and I am able to install FDM EE.

  So now I have FDM and FDMEE on the same instance & middleware House.

  I'm having some trouble in installing some applications of EMP 11.1.2 media pack.
  
  I am trying to install
  
  -Oracle Services shared 11.1.2
  -Oracle Essbase 11.1.2
  -Oracle Essbase Administration server 11.1.2
  -Oracle planning 11.1.2
  
  on Windows Vista business with Service Pack 2.
  
  I got the installation program, the Foundation of four, additional content and records of requests for Web site e-delivery and oracle.
  
  
  
  The installation goes fine, the only problem seems to be a component named Oracle Http Server can not be installed. I don't know if it is essential, however.
  
  When the installation is complete, the configuration button does not work (as I have red is the case for most of you), but the main problem is that I have nothing else that WebLogic on menu start. The installation folder has been created, there are a lot of things in it, and I can launch from there Essbase Studio. But I can not find any directory to configure applications under products/EPM/Foundation.
  Planning seems to not work, I checked between Services and there is no current Service of Hyperion.
  
  Also, I tried to follow the steps of John Goodwin (http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2010/04/epm-1112-installation.html) installing, until our results diverged.

  I want to install the Hyperion EPM 11.1.2.1 on Windows 2003 (64-bit) services of the Foundation with HFM. I downloaded the following
  
  Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management System Installer, Fusion version for Microsoft Windows (64-bit) 11.1.2.1.0 - V25495-01
  
  Oracle Hyperion Foundation Services version 11.1.2.1.0 for Microsoft Windows (64-bit) all 7 parts
  
  Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, Fusion version 11.1.2.1.0 - V25476-01
  
  
  But once I'm in the V25495-01 installTools.cmd, I get the error message base main assemblies missing folder. Please help how to merge or create the installation for this installation image. If I'm missing some software/binary, please let me know the part number to download.

  If please download the additional contenets file and unzip it in the same folder.
  In addition, please make sure that your path to the Setup file is not any space in it.

• HFM Java API pots found empty in the installation of the EMP

  We seek to develop an extension HFM application based on the Java API of HFM as in https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/hfm_javadoc/index.html

  While looking for the required JAR files epm_hfm_web.jar, epm_j2se.jar, epm_thrift.jar in our installation of EMP, we find that these files are empty with only the meta-inf folder and no class file was present.

  Are we missing something in the installation and the configuration or not looking in the right location for these jar files.

  Jar files are located in D:\Oracle\middleware\EPMSystem11R1\common\jlib\11.1.2.0 in our facility

  The details of the environment are as below.

  Oracle Fusion of EPM edition workspace version 11.1.2.4.0.79

  UI version 11.1.2.4.0.79

  This issue is already displayed in the HFM area, but we think that could hope to a solution here.

  Please suggest how to overcome this problem.

• Is there a utility to validate the windows updates before installing Oracle EMP?

  Gurus,

  Do we not have any utility provided by Oracle that would validate if all specific to Microsoft Windows updates / patches for Microsoft SQL Server database etc are installed on the server before you start the installation of EMP?

  There are third party tools that can check if windows updates and the SQL database patches have been applied, but I am curious to know if there is a utility provided by Oracle to do?

• EPM 11.1.2.3 Startall Installation issue

  Hi Experts,
  We have faced a strange problem after installation and configure 11.1.2.3 version Hyperion. The question is, we have installed the EPM system in environment distributed as Foundation (all the web) in a server, EN to the server B, HFM in Server C. After the configuration, everything works fine, but when we start system EPM (StartAll) b, C server it starts all services in the B & C servers, but if we manually start the services it is departure and able to access everything. -That someone faced this kind of situation. Please, share your ideas.

  I ran into this issue today.  Any new installation of EMP 11.1.2.4 on new servers (Windows Server 2012).  EPM start (and stop EPM) scripts ran fine yesterday.  Impossible to start/stop today.

  SOLUTION:

  Change the advanced properties of the shortcuts system EPM Start/Stop "Run as Administrator".

  SUSPECTED cause:

  The IT Department has run an update of Windows on computers at night.  I don't know what patches have been charged, but something changed behavior of the machine.  This has happened to both of my servers (Foundation & Essbase) at the same time.  Both had applied for operating system updates.  Both have the same problem the next morning.  Note that the services are running under the same domain account that I used to run start/stop scripts.

  Hope this helps some people.

  Scenario:

  E.M.P. 11.1.2.2 in a distributed env (Linux & Windows)

  Linux - Foundation, planning, Essbase, EPMA

  Windows-server of the Dimension, FDM

  Upgrade, we follow http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/epm_install/frameset.htm?ch10s05.html

  We strive to upgrade (apply the patch of maintenance) for EMP 11.1.2.3. At ran installTool on Linux and Windows. There are no errors.

  We are at the stage of the services of the Foundation using configtool configuration. At the launch of the configtool under Linux, we get the error when checking for JAR files below. ($EPM_ORACLE_HOME/EPMSystem11R1/common/config/11.1.2.0/configtool.sh)

  Error: Clear POTS check failed with the message "some pots referenced do not exist" - I can't give the screen shot here.

  Something similar to the missing .jar files when lunching configtool (Essbase 11.1.2.3 on Oracle Linux 5 64-bit)

  Comments:

  In some cases the directories in which he seeks do not exist, in some cases the jar files aren't there.

  The problem is finally solved. During the installation of EMP 11123 it has not copied the below 2 folders correctly.

  $MW_HOME/modules/org.apache.ant_1.7.1

  $MW_HOME/modules/net.sf.antcontrib_1.1.0.0_1-0b2

  Some of the missing .jar files. Found this by comparing directories in another instance. After copying the 2 files to another server, launched perfectly configtool.

• Not able to log space work/SSP after new inst thru index.jsp

  I m Kalyan, new installation of the HFM product. I did a successful installation of EMP with the help of guides the user with Oracle.
  
  Installed on my local machine able to work on the planning / Essbase Server Admin, but not be able to log - on to the workspace and shared services on the host local link.
  
  Check a lot of things like the Services running properly, diagnostic report. They are all positive. With the help of IIS 7.
  
  I m able to see this link "* http://localhost:9000 / workspace * /", when I click on the Application to launch a white window gets Open popup and nothing is visible it says loading for a long time on this link ' * localhost:9000/workspace/index.jsp* '.
  
  Tried to use different browsers, but no luck. What I m missing with java or browser, or something else?
  
  Please help me sort, so that I can log on and proceed to the use of the application.

  Consider that the workspace has started without any problem, can connect to shared services, including http server do you use OHS, embedded
  Did you you have all the settings of IE recommend in place, have a read of the doc to support Oracle according to "Internet settings explore (IE7, IE8, and IE9) recommended for Oracle Hyperion [ID 820892.1] products"

  I just thought with the installation of EMP in a server and copy the file system after installation to the other server.

  2 using the backup of system files (option IBM TSM) option.
  3. load the data in the backup from Server B, Server B now will all the system files as server has (both servers have the same name)

  There are generally 3 ways to do it, described in the doc, you describe option 1 where they are on separate networks with the same name:

  Hostname specifications
  EPM System Disaster Recovery deployment requires a way to resolve the references to the host
  between the production and standby sites. Make sure your configuration using one of these
  options, listed in order of preference:
  -Production and standby are on separate networks. Fully qualified host names can be the same in both sites.
  -Production and standby sites have different DNS which resolves to the correct IP address host names in their network.
  The backup site can have an expectation of DNS that is activated when a disaster occurs.
  -Production host names are resolved to a local IP address on the site of relief effort through a file/etc/hosts.

  If you have separate networks, both servers have the same name but are completely separate and everything, including the database server is the same then Yes, you describe the first scenario of DR. I would recommend the hosts file option as it would ensure that guests always resolve to what you expect.

  have you tried the default admin/password, if this does not work, you should check the logs to ensure that shared services is in place and executed entirely, also make sure that openldap is running.

  This means the default windows administrator account, you can create another local user with admin rights, or you can use a domain user that is part of the Administrators group.

  Hello gurus,

  I need to install EMP 11.1.2.4 and OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1

  I want to use a big 1 server for all these installation. I would use the same instance of the WebLogic Server.

  Issues related to the:

  1. Is there a command that I should follow? First install EMP and OBIEE or vice-a-verse?
  2. UCR! Yet once related to the first question. I want to use the same instance of Weblogic server, which remote control to run first... ?? or can I run EMP and OBIEE UCR, one after the other and then continue with the rest of the installation?
  3. Is that what someone has tried the integration of the last EMP 11.1.2.4 with OBIEE (Comes with EMP 11.1.2.3 but I wanted to use 11.1.2.4)? Please let us know of your experiences... Should I keep in mind...?

  We have an EMP 11.1.2.1 installation on which we decided to install the Calc Manager. This server has Foundation, logic of web, planning and Reporting and analysis components. Then we reconfigured Workspace, GestionnaireCalc, and Shared Services.

  Initially our process would run under the SYSTEM account even if I start using my ID. After reconfigure it, the process of Foundation and GestionnaireCalc run aunder the user to launch the process. Rest of the process as planning still run under the system account. So when disconnect us from the Foundation and treated GestionnaireCalc gets killed.

  Also, in the task manager the name of the process not appears as java.exe instead of HyS9FoundationServices

  After looking around a bit, I found differences in the .properties file.

  New file after reconfig .properties:

  context = workspace

  interval = 5000

  validation. Context = Workspace/Status

  Checker = foundation

  Server.Name = FoundationServices0

  wait = true

  Domain.Location=E\:\\Oracle\\Middleware\\user_projects\\domains\\EPMSystem

  Server.port = 28080

  Seems you have deselected "Create Windows Services for configured components" under "Hyperion Foundation" > "configure common settings."

  Re-run Setup, select "Configure common settings" and "Deploy to the application server" under "Hyperion Foundation" and all the other web apps that have had the Starter changed properties, select "Create Windows Services for the configured components" and deploy web applications.

  I did create a new installation of 11.1.2.3 on epm (planning, Coordinator, hfm) on my virtual machine now, I want to install 11.1.1.7 OBIEE
  
  I need suggestion on how to install on the same machine obiee...
  (1) I need a new instance of weblogic on another port or can I reuse the same instance (EPMSystem, running on port 7001)?
  (2) I have to install another essbase/studio/easServer/space to work, or I can reuse the existing?

  If you want to run weblogic EMP and OBIEE administration server at the same time, then you would need for them run on different ports.
  You don't have to select the option essbase OBIEE installation if you have previously installed products essbase.
  I install OBIEE in a different middleware that EMP home and separate the weblogic domains.
