  You can find the setting you need in the Performance Options.

Once confirmed you can 'remove' unwanted images from LR by doing a right click on the top-level folder and selecting 'delete '. The files will be deleted from LR, but not your hard drive.

  There are several ways. The two easiest are click on the Junk icon to turn off or click with the right button on the message and select Mart As - Not Junk.
