  I went thought that the installation and configuration guide. Want to clarify a few points here

  (1) for the POC (for the purposes of the development of a custom code via SDK to merge PDF files), can I install LiveCycle ES on Windows Vista? Vista is 32 bit OS.

  (2) in LiveCycle PDF Generator ES notes I've met.

  When you use PDF Generator ES2 with a 64-bit application server, an additional 32-bit JAVA virtual machine must also be installed.

  On UNIX AIX server with WebLogic 10, do I have to install additional 32-bit Java to run LiveCycle PDF Generator ?

  (3) can I install WebLogic 10 / Websphere 6 (64-bit) on my vista desktop (32 bit) and proceed with the installation of LiveCycle PDF Generator?

  Please share some links to additional information (as installation details, SDK QAnywhere etc.)

  (4) is to install Acrobat Pro Extended for the use of PDF Generator SDK (only to Merge PDF files generated by SAP Business Objects Reporting tool).

  1 - the platform support matrix is included in the LiveCycle documentation: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/LiveCycle/9.5/supported_platforms.html

  Vista 32 and 64 are supported for turnkey (JBoss), assessment and development only.

  2 - Yes, you still need a 32-bit JVM

  3. you can do it, but this combination is not specifically referred to in the support matrix and therefore is not officially supported.

  4. If you do a simple assembler operation to combine PDF files, then you probably don't have Acrobat.  However; a license for Acrobat come with the purchase of product, so you won't need to buy a separate.

  Come from LiveCycle Designer ALWAYS with Adobe Acrobat Pro (more precisely 9.5)?  If so, how can I fix an error that says "Adobe LiveCycle Designer is available in the Acrobat installer?  I need details I can tell from our IT Department on how to get this back on my computer.  Thank you!

  Designer must be installed by default with Pro and better. It does not include Std. You said you had Pro, so I did not address this question, but you can check for sure. You should always be able to create forms with the AcroForms directly in Acrobat. If you haven't tried it you might as well. There is a compromise of the two types of forms.

  If you have Pro, then it looks like a custom installation must have been made and Designer has been left out. I guess you do not have the installation and you must have your IT people come back and install the complete product.

  I am a newbie to Adobe LiveCycle. I installed LiveCycle on machine Win2003/WebSphere6.1.0.23. We have forms and component output Solution. I just deployed using Configuration Manager.

  How can I validate my LiveCycle server?

  Is there any sample application ready that I can install in my App Server and validate the installation of LiveCycle? I tried building a project of samples.jar and run the examples relating to forms and output. I get all the outputs (pdf file). Not sure know how to run it and get the job done.

  In the LiveCycle deploy folder there are two applications that are suitable for Installation and verification. For forms, the file is called "adobe-forms-ivs - jboss.ear" and for output, the file is called "adobe-output-ivs - jboss.ear. They do not by default deployed and your s can be named differently to reflect the application server you use. Simply deploy these files on your application server, and then you get a sample of audit facility (IVS). To access the application using the following URLS:

• Migration of the data required for LiveCycle ES2 to ES4 upgrade?

  I'm working on the planning of a LiveCycle ES2 for JBoss ES4 for JBoss upgrade, where we seek to install ss4 on new hardware (Windows Server 2008 R2).

  The plan is to install and configure ES2 as the previous installation and then run the upgrade of the ES4 on top.

  We are looking at installing on servers from pre-production to the sides of the current production environment. The idea being that:

  • The application that uses the LiveCycle services will continue to use the current production environment until a failover of occurs, during which the consuming application will be directed to the new environment.
  • The test version of the application that consumes the LiveCycle services will be directed towards the pre-production environment so that it can be properly tested by users over a period of time.

  Here is some additional information on the current environment:

  • Only LiveCycle modules configured are as follows: (LiveCycle is simply used to create PDF files from various formats of documents e.g. Office, software of CAD)
    • PDF generator
    • Reader Extensions ARE
  • We currently have three production facilities of LiveCycle, each with its own dedicated database
    • Balancer load A is used to distribute requests to each server. Each server has no knowledge of the other two servers and effectively operate independently each other.
  • Persistent storage of Document uses the GDS
    • Similar to the configuration of database, the GDS is specific to each facility and is a local folder on the server
    • These range from records of about 5-75 MB in size and the most recently updated files are since 2009
      

  
  

  My question is based on the current installation of LiveCycle, is necessary to migrate the existing databases\GDS or can we simply create a blank database, and use Configuration Manager to create\update appropriate tables? If a data migration is required, is this repeatable (i.e. migrate us once during a pre-production test and then a second time for a production deployment)?

  Going through your notes, it seems that it would be OK (because it is only PDFG and RE), if you come to create an empty database and use Configuration Manager for create\update the appropriate table. In addition, it is sure to re - run Configuration Manager in order to LiveCycle point on a server different database\database OR manually edit data sources via the application server console. Please do not forget to watch the new documents ss4 API(in case you are using the LC APIs to invoke the services through your application) to check if something has changed and test application yor with ES4.

  On my iMac, I get a dialogue Maximum Activations exceeded a message, when I installed the track cs6 version, I can't open any program and see this screen, I installed adobe cs6 creative cloud, but which also showed me this screen which was in effect I had creativity could already running on two computer so I could not activate on the third , but now I downloaded trail version of cs6 and again I see this screen

  I'm migrating my application LiveCycle 7.2.2 to Livecycle ES2, in accordance with the recommendations of Adobe, that the best way is to first migrate to LiveCycle ES and ES2. Is it possible to migrate directly to ES2, since it a very small app?

  Hi John,

  There is no direct way to upgrade an installation of LiveCycle 7.2.2 to LiveCycle ES2.

  You must either upgrade to LiveCycle ES or LiveCycle ARE Update 1 before upgrading to LiveCycle ES2.

  FB 4 is not part of the installation of LiveCycle. If you want to customize the workspace or to write Flex applications in LiveCycle, you would need to Flash Builder needs to be installed. If you are evaluating the software, you can download a trial from the home page of adobe.com under download software for free.

  If you buy a component under license of LiveCycle, you more to install up to 5 workstations with FB 4 software

  The installer is: LiveCycle ES2, Flex3 application form.

  The use case boils down to having more than one action/road available anytime, that is visible and active. Because there is more than one possible action at any time, when you run the FORM_SUBMIT_DATA_REQUEST callback occurs the first 'task' is to know which button has been clicked.

  Unfortunately, this feature seems to be missing glaring given that:

  • Event.Target is a reference to SwfConnector, which has no property tell which button has been clicked.
  • done event.currentTarget also refers to SwfConnector;
  • The event object is actually an instance of the event class that can be confirmed using describeType().

  The documentation on this is contradictory: in regards to the recall in question, the document "Creating Flex Applications enabled for.

  I must be very clear that the form * must * have more than one available action: relying on hacks as hide or disable buttons depending on the State of form current is exactly that: a hack. For example, imagine that the form displays only the data (IE, the user is not allowed to change this) and just the decision of users request: approve, reject.

  In addition, adding a ComboBox/RadioButtonGroup to form flex to contain the decision and have a 'Done' button is ridiculous: it makes the unnecessary out-of-the-box audit trail, it generates the decisions in the shape and not the process where they belong. So, it's also a hack!

  Or have I missed some fineprint altogether?

• XDCAM preset missing

  I recently installed the following CC that includes the first Pro CC.

  The version I use is first Pro CC v8.1, caravan (I didn't mean 'Caravan').

  I have no problem playing files I use mainly as 120 DNxHD and v210 (AVI and MOV containers).

  However, the OP-1 MPEG2 has with MXF container I can't. I get the error message is:

  "Unsupported format or corrupted file.

  On the previous version of Premiere Pro CS6 & CS 5.5 I can always play them without problems.

  Besides this, I saw that the XDCAM preset didn't show more in a pre-defined list of Prime Pro CC and it seems that the codecs are missing.

  I uninstall the following adobe all CC by following the instructions I found on the Adobe site support and I have re-installed, but it did not solve my problem.

  I spend some time on the forum looking for a solution but have not found the answer to my problem.

  According to the first Pro CC specifications, it should natively support MPEG2 OP - 1a.

  Any solution that solve?

  I have the problem:

  Disconnected from Adobe CC

  Reinstalled from scratch workstation

  Apply all updates of windows

  Installed Adobe CC

  All the XDCAM presets are now active and everything seems to be fine in place.

  It seems that any precedent or different installs as a trail or education may occur problems for any new or different install, permit even if it running Adobe cleaner.

• HTTP 500 status error occurs suddenly

  I have two different forms which have been rendered correctly on my local for a long time, including yesterday.

  Suddenly, I get the following error:

  I don't have any changes to a shape or to my installation of LiveCycle, files or folders.

  It seems that my computer was not updated last night and it seems that no new software has been installed.

  It is highly unlikely that a 'bug' programming would affect two forms at the same time, insofar as they would be the two ruling.

  The variable 'inFormDoc' is everywhere in my various files LiveCycle, but since they were working yesterday, I think it's maybe a Kipper.

  Of course, I tried to reboot at least twice as well as the stop/start services with the command "iisreset" in the command prompt.

  I have googled this error but is not much which would be helful in this situation, just enough to see other people have had in various contexts.

  Has anyone seen this or someone know a solution?

  A colleague came up with an answer that I share here if someone has problems with this.

  There's a place (tmp) that fills with GB of memory - why does LiveCycle self-clean, BTW?

  On my testap, it is located in:

  E:\Adobe\Adobe LiveCyle ES3\jboss\server\lc_turnkey\tmp

  {Please do not allow to the copy & paste on this forum, BTW}

  After emptying this folder, it worked yet that a restart of the server is required.

  Now the two forms are rendered.

  I knew it couldn't be a problem of programming as such.

• How to pass the ES2 in ES4?

  I have a functional ES2 development environment that I want to move to the ES4.  I'm moving on a new server (Windows 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2).

  Currently, I am running:

  JBoss [EAP] 4.2.0.GA_CP01

  MS SQL 2005

  Java 1.6.0 - 14

  I read some docs, but am still confused.  I guess that upgraded out of place, but should I try to upgrade the ES2 or all just do a fresh install then copy database and GDS?  In addition, can what configuration files I copy it to (if any)?

  Recommendations or links would be appreciated.

  According to the application server supported, the database and the versions JDK in LiveCycle ES4 you can decide how you want to upgrade.

  The link @ http://helpx.adobe.com/livecycle/help/livecycle-es4-supported-platforms.html lists all the supported versions of the server applications, databases, and JDK.

  Once you have chosen target your environment, you can choose to stay on the same machine, or move it to another machine. In both cases, your upgrade will be out of place since JBoss 4.2.0 is not supported in LiveCycle ES4.

  If you decide to stay on the same machine, the setup of LiveCycle ES4 and LCM could detect the presence of your existing installation of LiveCycle ES2 and guide you accordinly.

  However, if you decide to move to another machine, you must copy the following text on the new machine:

  (1) storage of global Document (GDS) directory and its contents

  (2) content storage directory (lccs_data) and its content if you use content Services

  (3) looked at the content of the folder

  (4) custom fonts

  (5) any other custom files/folders specific to your installation of LiveCycle ES2

• Workspace is not available

  When I go to http:// < Server >: < port > / workspace, I get a 404 error. I think that something has gone wrong with my installation of LiveCycle. Can I manually install the workspace component? Or is there a service that must be installed to the workspace because I installed only the forms, PDFGenerator and Content Services?

  Based on the original message, that you have not installed the management processes.  If you want the workspace you install and deploy management processes.

• Problem with renderPDFForm

  Hi, I recently added Forms 1.1 module to my installation of livecycle. When I try to create a PDF form using the renderPDFForm generator, I get the message "this type of document cannot be registered" in the value field of the document variable that I try the form displayed to (play in a window of registered process) exit. No idea why this might happen? I checked the pattern many times and am very sure it works and even tried the same exact form, the schema and data to a different server with the renderPDFForm service and it worked.

  Try to use a Document to write from the file system service and see if it is written in the file system.

  Hi all

  I'm running through an installation of LiveCycle ES with the reader extensions.  Everything seems on the top and upward, but I do 'No credentials found alias' in my logs.  I have the credentials of Adobe installed in the configuration console in livecycle with an alias randomly.  The question is where can I use this alias in my setup?  I use has BEEN 6.1.

  I searched the forums for this error and it was question him because there are some problems with the permissions of the user, but I WAS running under my account which is an admin user.

  This sounds familiar - I think it had to do with the version of Flash Player. You probably have version 10 and that the screen is built by 9. So you can either downgrade to 9 or there is a service pack that was created to support the version of the flash player 10 (SP2 I believe).
