installation of programs on CD that was once used in windows 98. Can it be done

I have old CD (windows 98) years ago cannot be installed in my laptop because the size of the brooch is superior on the portable hard drive is windows 7 can be done and how

XP Mode is only available in Windows 7 Pro and is intended for the company's programs.

It has no 3D acceleration, but apparently will work some basic games.

Selection of Win98 or XP sp2 in the tab compatibility (compatibility settings) is not likely to help

(rarely done), but is easy enough to try.

The main question about 16 bits is to do with the installer. 16-bit games often runs

64-bit Windows once installed, but Setup won't.

Some games that uses a 16-bit installation program have a 32-bit Installer available on their fan sites.

I used one of them to install the older version of CD of Grim Fandango.

Other issues are if a game is DOS based or used Scumm rendered 3DFX.

The best way to get these games going is to buy good old games because they use 32-bit installers

and installation using any emulation needed (window BACK, ScummVM, etc.).

Most of the games of this vintage sells for only a few USD when GOG has one of his frequent sales.

"" The PIN on the cd player has a diameter greater than the inside diameter of the Conference on disarmament ".

Never heard of it. I thought that all the CD/DVD disks had the same dimensions, including the hole in the middle.

but my oldest disc only dates back to 2000.

If this is the case, there is nothing you can do short of trying to enlarge the hole like this vintage CD player

is not compatible with your laptop. Mainly because of the power and Ribbon connectors.

  • Why I can't move or delete files that have been used by Windows Movie Maker?

Why I can't move or delete files that have been used by Windows Movie Maker? How to make them free again, now that I want to use the new computer.

When you create a project in Movie Maker-.mswmm file... it
records the path to the source (photos, videos, music) files...
If you re-open the file .mswmm to re - edit source files...
are not accessible if they have been moved or deleted.

If "no" re - edit project .mswmm files...
moving or deleting the source files is not a problem.

If you 'are' the intention of re - edit .mswmm files but need the
source files also... just make copies and let it
    original where they are.

  • How to include a .lvlib in a generation that was created using a custom .dll file

I am trying to build an executable in LV2010 which uses a .lvlib which was created using a Keyence .dll file. I added the .lvlib to the source as "Still included" files and I also added all the files "Always included." library .vi I always get the error message saying "Lack the external function" during the execution of the program. The executable seems to open properly on the development computer, but not on a secondary computer. Any ideas?

    Hi Harris,

I would like to clarify a few points.

-With all these configurations that you described above, the executable file worked properly on the development computer?

-L'application works correctly on the development computer outside a build specification, just running in LabVIEW?

-Have you tried to deploy the executable on multiple computers, and you see the same error on every computer other than the development computer?

-Is there a software that must be installed so that the TMIF.dll to work? This software is installed on the deployment computer?

It seems that the DLL is included with success, but for some reason, the function appears as missing. Also, I noticed that the error message has a: C at the end of the message, which makes me wonder - is this a C DLL or a Windows DLL (.NET)?

  • Impdp discharge specific schema that was created using full = y

    Hello

I received a dump (expdp) that was created by using the parameter FULL = Y. I want to just import only a single schema (impdp) in my database. I used remap_schema and exclude = grants. The pattern I want to import is successfully completed, but in my import log, I get messages such as:

ORA-31684: TABLESPACE object Type: 'TS_BCST1' already exists

ORA-31684: USER object Type: 'OUTLN' already exists

    ORA-31684: SEQUENCE object type: 'SYSTEM '. "" MVIEW$ _ADVSEQ_GENERIC ' already exists

How can I use only impdp to import under my specific schema objects and do not have impdp attempt to create system/sys users and its objects, create storage spaces, etc. etc.

    Kindly help.

  • Given that I already used the windows key on my computer, means that I can never use it again? Or is - this perpetual, I can use it forever?

So a few months ago I completely wiped the BONE (sindows) acccidentally. I don't know why it happened, but there is no file at all, no OS. Using another computer, I had a trial version of the same Windows I have 7 Home premium and inserted the product key, I have inside my Dell laptop and got it to work under Win 7 again. My question is: given that I've used the key of windows already on my computer, does that mean I can never use it again? Or is - this perpetual, I can use it forever?

You can use as many times as you like on the same Dell computer.

There might be some cases if reinstall you it from scratch, you may need to use the activation of the phone well:

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

    (4) choose the option "activate phone".

    (5) stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

  • Installation of a cd-rom that is not compatible with windows 7 in my notebook window 7

I have windows 7 installed in my notbeook and you want to install a cd-rom that is compatible with windows 98, NT4, 2000, ME and XP. How can I do?

    Hi Rodrigo,

-You try to install any program from the CD ROM of your laptop? Or if you are referring to the compatibility of the equipment (CD-ROM drive).

-You receive a message about compatibility when installing programs from the CD?

If you are referring to the CD ROM drive the hardware itself, you can install the equipment on any operating system of Windows from Windows 95 to Windows 7 and Windows will load the generic drivers for your CD ROM and it should work with all versions of Windows.

If you install a program from the CD of your laptop and the receipt of all messages about compatibility, you can access the link below and follow the steps to install the program in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

  • How to remove a password that was saved using Microsoft when you connect to a site/page?

Someone at work logged on to a site and now every time someone tries to connect to the other persons name and password pop up.  How can you erase this?  Thanks, Jim

Open Internet Options, and then click Delete under browsing history. You see a dialog box with a set of options. Select the data on forms and passwords (selection of the option is your choice), then click on remove.

This will clear all data like password form.
Repeat that even if you use a different browser than Internet Explorer, but the steps vary.
If delete history out of navigation is activated, it won't store the form data, even if the record is selected.
