Installation/space Windows Vista problems
Recently the Windows Vista Setup program does not allow the installation of the different software components. Sometimes I have a vague (as impossible to install) error code, sometimes the installation starts from inside IE and then just comes back to IE. But no installation occurs.
I am slot as Vista Business 64-bit Service Pack 2. (5 gig Ram)
I have between 50 to 500 free MB on the disk. (I have a drive c to 35 gigabytes. But, windows uses 31 G (winsxs uses 20 G).) Supposedly, it's a problem of Microsoft to know during the years that they have no desire to fix. I regularly try to clean the space, but it's like trying to hold back the Mississippi...
Uninstall seems to work.
I ran various utiilties of Microsoft to try to resolve the problem. (I think this is worse!)
I ran sfc/scannow and it has detected/fixed no problem.
When I was able to capture more storage space (by moving my virtual memory on another drive) briefly the problem has not disappeared. The Publisher of the software after several hours of searching in various newspapers told me it was a problem of Microsoft Installer.
I don't want to re - install the OS that I don't have a number of my installation for different software products discs (they are all legal).
I'm not so sure that Windows installs my updates properly at this stage either.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm drowning in time to support.
What is E? The dual computer boot or pagefile on E refers to the operating system in C?
I did not used Easeus Partition Manager, Partition Magic and Acronis who buy software using, but the principles will be similar. What you need to do is to reduce the size of D, so that there is a free space between C and D, and then increase the size of C in this space. You can then increase the size of D in the original unallocated space of 5.86 GB in D.
I suggest that you study the knowledge base, and there is a line on manual. Print the relevant parts. The FAQ in the first link and follow two particularly relevant links:

After downloading vista service pack 2, there has been no noise. Followed all advice found, software audit, software from the Device Manager. I have an IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and NVIDIA High Definition Audio on an HP laptop. I'm at my wits end as to what is happening.
Any help would be great, cheersAll the good guys, went on the HP site, installed another of their CODEC IDT drivers, even though he was no doubt a version more old, then all hunky dory.

Post installation of the Vista SP2, it does not detect my DVD drive.
Recently in the month of April 10, I had my laptop (Compaq Presario V6608AU) repaired because it doesn't detect DVD drive. The techincian had reinstalled vista on it and it was my regular vista. As my laptop has automatic updates enabled it installed Vista SP1 and SP2 later. After installation of SP2, my DVD player no longer works. The light initially whn system starts but windows gets loaded, it didn't post. Could some help me to get this resolved. Restore option I tried, but I restore options after installation of SP2. I have my handy DVD recovery but I'm handicapped because of this problem of DVD player and impossible to restore...

Due to problems of Java, I formatted and made a new installation. My Vista Home Premium says its active. When I try to put my product id was not found. When I try to leave microsoft to find that they can't pick up my computer and I can't enter by hand, he said its incorrect. When I try to ask online chat, I cut that they deal with activation problems. It is activated, I can't get the Web site recognize my product id, so I can post for help? The world is - that sound familiar at all?

#Hi Verisetti,
Have you installed security software after formatting windows?
If so, you can uninstall the security software temporarily and check if you receive the access violation error.
If the uninstallation of security software solves the problem, you may need to configure the settings of the software of safety accordingly. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.
Note: Make sure that you install the security software after the trial.
What about Windows vista product ID, you can try to validate Windows and check if it helps.

Hello!, my name is jan and I use lightroom 2 for many years. I have an original installation disk with a 24-digit serial number. I have never installed lightroom problems wih. Suddenly, lightroom will not start when I try an image that I have taken with my nikon D500 and transferred to WINDOWS 8.1. I tried to re - install lightroom: the application procedure serieal number, but refused to accept the number that has always worked. Help, please! Jan
If you are certain that you have the correct number of series, there are really not much that we can help you here. You can try to download and install the latest version of Lightroom 2. This will be the trial version, but when the trial screen there is an option to indicate that you have a serial number. Either way, Lightroom serial numbers start with the four first digits being 1160.

installation of SP2 removes feature "tablet".
When you install SP2 on my HP Pavilion tx1419nr tablet pc, it deletes the Tablet and touchscreen feature. HP says to stick with SP1 and not MS update. I have already deleted and made a recovery and tried again to install SP2, but nothing helped. Earlier, I did a restore prior to the installation of SP2 and have the function to return. Should I update to SP2?... will I have problems later if I'm not?... I won't MS support? This machine has been problematic from the beginning with this and my warranty period will soon be at an end.
All expertise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. :-) Lo

someone on this planet knows!
XP home sp3 can use printer/sp2 vista home premium & files on a network private wireless, but not vice versa. Vista can see xp connected on the entire map, but can not do anything with the icon (it shows the IP etc. When hovered over with the mouse). tried fix & checked all the rest including the settings found on the masses of internet sites. don't think that this problem is so widespread and not final fix?. someone must know the answer. both computers have norton 360 v6. !. two computers use internet very well through the same network switch. two computers worked flawlessly again, no repairs, no reinstall, not zero other problems ever (always ran 360 and first market backup battery).Hello

Vista problem experienced Techniocian
I have Vista Home Premium 32-bit. Applications are suspended. I have a lot of memory and have run diagnostics of HD. It's certainly related software. I'll run some future spyware scanners. I can't install any programs via Firefox or IE 9 even in SafeMode with network. They arrive at the final stage of download (where they are scanned for viruses), then close the application (IE, firefox). My guess is the virus. I'll try to install spyware on USB scanners. What could this be?

Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have. Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral

Second installation was successful, but the installation failed initial always appears at startup upward. At a complete loss to know where to find entries that say my system there are 2 installs of Windows Vista. When launched the CD to 'view' where this "alternate" install is shows unknown HDD to address 0 w a lack of disk space. Of course, it is more than likely that only some files in the registry or the system "ask" that there is a current installation. Where can I find these to remove them? Have not found anything on any forum re: this issue. TYVM<3!>3!>
I see that a "MVP" edited the title of the question, but it did NOT reflect what the question. Please leave the full question in the title of the post. My problem is not a simple installation of 'failure '. I just want to find out where the entries are which are originally to show 2 Windows Vista o/s when I 'start' my computer when there are 'only' real installation. Note: I have two we HARD a WinXP Pro, the other Vista disks. At the start, it shows "Versions of Windows" and then Windows Vista and finally Windows Vista again. The non-existing o/s installation failed is the 3rd entry.
Modify the boot.ini file to remove the installation failed (make sure that you remove the right pair) or in msconfig, check the boot paths
