Hello

Click Start > right click on computer > left click on properties > see if you have Vista 32 bit or Vista 64-bit installed.

It will also tell you here what Service Packs, if any, are already installed.

Then, choose the download of 'bit' OK to use to install the Service Pack.

Vista SP2 32-bit (x 86): http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16468

Vista SP2 64-bit: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17669

What is E? The dual computer boot or pagefile on E refers to the operating system in C?

I did not used Easeus Partition Manager, Partition Magic and Acronis who buy software using, but the principles will be similar. What you need to do is to reduce the size of D, so that there is a free space between C and D, and then increase the size of C in this space. You can then increase the size of D in the original unallocated space of 5.86 GB in D.

    Hi Verisetti,

Have you installed security software after formatting windows?

If so, you can uninstall the security software temporarily and check if you receive the access violation error.

If the uninstallation of security software solves the problem, you may need to configure the settings of the software of safety accordingly. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.

Note: Make sure that you install the security software after the trial.

What about Windows vista product ID, you can try to validate Windows and check if it helps.

Suddenly, lightroom will not start when I try an image that I have taken with my nikon D500 and transferred to WINDOWS 8.1.  I tried to re - install lightroom: the application procedure serieal number, but refused to accept the number that has always worked. Help, please!  Jan

If you are certain that you have the correct number of series, there are really not much that we can help you here. You can try to download and install the latest version of Lightroom 2. This will be the trial version, but when the trial screen there is an option to indicate that you have a serial number. Either way, Lightroom serial numbers start with the four first digits being 1160.

  • installation of SP2 removes feature "tablet".

When you install SP2 on my HP Pavilion tx1419nr tablet pc, it deletes the Tablet and touchscreen feature.  HP says to stick with SP1 and not MS update.  I have already deleted and made a recovery and tried again to install SP2, but nothing helped.  Earlier, I did a restore prior to the installation of SP2 and have the function to return.  Should I update to SP2?... will I have problems later if I'm not?... I won't MS support?  This machine has been problematic from the beginning with this and my warranty period will soon be at an end.

I have Vista Home Premium 32-bit. Applications are suspended. I have a lot of memory and have run diagnostics of HD. It's certainly related software. I'll run some future spyware scanners. I can't install any programs via Firefox or IE 9 even in SafeMode with network. They arrive at the final stage of download (where they are scanned for viruses), then close the application (IE, firefox). My guess is the virus. I'll try to install spyware on USB scanners. Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.
