  Hi all
  
  I installed the version Hyperion 11.1.2.2 successfully on 3 servers.
  Now, we have a requirement we want to install ODI 11 g in one of the servers.
  In that, we have installed Essbase administration services, service provider, EPMA, CM, strategic finance.
  
  Now, when I try to start the installation of 11g ODI, it asks for the location of the jdk/jre.
  In command prompt, I specified the path as setup.exe - jreLoc "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Java\jre6", but no use.
  
  In some blogs, I mentioned that we had to define Java home for this. If so, please tell me how to configure java House?

  Your correct.

  I install jdk1.6.0_38 and then given command
  E:/ODI11g/Disk1 > Setup.exe - jreLoc C:\Progra~1\java\jdk1.6.0_38

  (1) studio ODI on my desk

  (2) agent on a weblogic Server Java EE

  Questions:

  (1) do I need to install an autonomous Agent on my desk

  (2) on Weblogic server that I want to install Java EE agent, do I need to install Studio ODI on that?

  No to both questions. ODI Studio is simply a client and not necessary on the Weblogic Server and the ODI Studio comes with a local agent as part of the installation that will allow you to run / test your design objects of time as you wish. You will need to an autonomous agent, or a configured Java EE agent if you want to run load Plans

  I was unable to find Knowledge IBM DB2 400 Modules in my new installation of 12 ODI. I missed something? I can see clearly that oracle has listed these knowledge modules in their documentation.

  It IS that your version of 12 c ODI is 12.1.2.0.0, if yes, you must apply a Patch 17836908 on top of ODI 12.1.2.0.0 12 c and it will add the missed KM related to DB2/400 technology and more during the ODI version 12 c will increase from 12.1.2.0.0 to 12.1.2.0.1

  I have a problem with the installation. When I run the setup of reflow of Edge, it is said: Installation directory must be located on a hard drive - so it can not be installed. I think that there is problem with msi TR.   Hi all..

  I want to just install ODI Studio... I installed on a server ODI and my goal is Studio installed on my client in order to connect to the agent of ODI.

  When I run setup.exe... It gives me the option to install the ODI Studio(with local agent)... is this the one I should install...

  My goal is just to install Studio...  I worked on other products where the servers are installed on a box and install us console/client for this application and access our application on the server... like EM for the oracle database Oracle Developer or toad.

  Yes, choose the agent local installation option. It is incorporated in the Studio and and facilitating communication with the repositories.

  I have installed ODI 11 g, with jump Repositrory configuration and its completed.
  
  Now I am unable to find ODI studio UI path of the file to configure the master and work repositories.
  
  where can I find the ODI studio components and standalone agent to configure the master and work repositories?
  
  In ODI 10.1.3.5 we used create ODI_JAVA_HOME = < ODI_HOME > /jre/1.4.2 for ODI 11 g also, we need to create or update the same thing.
  currently for ODI 11 g I find the jre path: C:\ODI_11g\jrockit-jdk1.6.0_17\jre is the same?
  
  How can I manually configure the master and work repositories in ODI 11 G?
  
  I'm not even know the login for Designer/toplogy ODI11g.

  Error message - the master repository data source did not contain a master repository. It seems that you have not updated the details of the master repository and also you have to encode the password for repository with the command ENCODES and provide the same in the odiparams.

I have an application Measurement Studio c# which I am creating a WiX Installer for and I have problems to get the measurement of inside studio merge modules. I get errors ICE30. I'm using WiX 3.0.

  Hi d_sdl,

  Our merge modules should work in WiX, as I have tested this several times. When you say that you have found ICE30, that fails your build? As you probably already know, one of the nice features of WiX is that you can set a flag so that whenever WiX compiles and links your source, it works ICES on them. This allows you to catch problems early in your development process. I guess you do is put the WiX linker fails if ICE warnings/errors are thrown. You can configure WiX for actions based on ICES advice you get. What is important is that you can turn off this setting, but it depends on how you are nvoking WiX (i.e. through NAnt, MSBuild, Votive, etc.). In any case, there are different ways to disable this option. What I would say is to disable the option, or be specific about which ICES to ignore. This decision would be to the you. The key is to understand what actually means ICES and determine if they are legitimate questions.

  ICE30 can indicate a variety of different things, but a common reason corresponds to the entries of the SFN. Some of our merge modules are always generated through Visual Studio deployment projects and VS created RFU very well. Thus, you're left with SFN entries duplicated in the MSM. Long file names are different, but the short file names are the same. WiX does this correctly which is nice, but unfortunately we can't convert some of these modules more MSM because of VS restrictions and limitations, that we found. It would be nice if better RFU created VS.

  Attached is a zip file that contains two projects that are:

  • C# project that produces the binary file that the Setup program will install
  • Project of WiX that creates the MSI file

  First, be sure to build the c# project. I tested the MSI that result, and it works very well on a target system.

  Note If you want to load the wix project, you must have the final version of Votive on your system.

  While I creates a store of DATA (TABLE) in the studio of the ODI, I have created a table name with quotes Double for the table as example 'TABLE_NAME'.

  Is there a method to get rid of this. ?
  At the studio of ODI, it does not show the name of the table with the quotes, but when I'm trying to see a TOAD, I get the quotes.

  Can someone help me on this. ?

  Hi Shakur,

  Go to the topology-> Oracle technology-> language (tab)-> delete quotes under object delimiter, and advance to the next field to ensure that the change is made, then save.

  I tried to install a new patch in my ODI instalation and when I run the following command;

  -> C:\Oracle\OPatch\opatch.bat applies 17053768 - C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_15\jre\bin\java.exe jre

  Displays the following error:

  'C:\Program\bin\java.exe' not found Opatch cannot move forward

  opatch failed with the error code 1

  Hi, I still have problems with the latest version, it will not use the custom folder that I configured in CC. Lightroom and PhotoShop fails during installation. No useful information or messages!

  Why can they do that work when they took the option available?

  And even begins to LR install to the default location, even before you are able to set your favorite place!

  I tried to use a logical disk that has been set up on Windows on Windows Storage 8.1, which had the REFS not usual NTFS file system. And that supports case-sensitive file names, but it does not use it! If Adobe it checks and will not be installed.

  Simply, I created a new volume on the same drive with NTFS and Lightroom and PhotoShop now installed there!

  Despite Adobe claiming still LR stat must be installed on the default drive (which is not true!)

• 'Lost' seen in Studio ODI

  I read another post and it just happened to me, I'm available remotely an ODI environment and I seem to have lost the topology, try everything that I do, I've got the other tabs re-docked but cant for the life of get me the topology.
  
  If I select from the view menu (nothing appears), Options tab, I can see the values in the status bar (technology), hit 'o' for Oracle and press on enter and I get the window of editing technology, but I can't find the real tree-navigator! His lie probably turned off the screen somewhere but alt-space don't give me one resize / move menu (from hate Java programs)
  
  Short of rebooting the computer, any ideas where are the settings? I resized it, re-installed Studio (side) not luck. Annoyed!
