installation 'Windows Media 9 Series' visualizations

I try to install this set of visualizations on Media Player 12:
http://download.Microsoft.com/download/b/4/c/b4c0c42c-FB60-40f3-B650-9f661c570c38/wm9viz.exe

(I guess it's 12, no matter what the current is version, it has no way to identify it.)

Visualizations have been downloaded and when I double-click on the file to try to install it, give him the authorization of program changes, etc. a window download appears very quickly - too fast for me to see what he did - and then disappears.  There is no visible change in WMP or something else on my computer.  I have no idea what the .exe file does, or even if it is supposed to do something.

I'm just trying to get some XP - era visualizations on my latest version of WMP.  What should I do to make this work?

Hi LigerZero

If it's Windows 7, you have 12 installed WMP.

The link you posted is on WMP 9 Series visualizations. Have you tried to run in compatibility mode?

First of all, try to run it as administrator and if that does not work, right click on wm9viz.exe and click on 'and troubleshoot compatibility' then select 'try recommended settings.

Make older programs run in this version of windows.

Good luck.

  • Installation window Media Center with Avermedia A850 DMB-TH/DVB-T

    Hi all

I am located in Australia and I have a USB TV tuner which can be used for DVB - T or DMB - TH digital system. I tested it on the player of AverMedia TV tuner, which worked well and I can't all channels using an antenna from the wall outlet. However, it doesn't seem to work when I went to the Media Center window with the same exact configuration (taking wall antenna).

I tried to use it on Windows Vista and 7, which gave me very different results.

    --------------------------

Vista: When I click on "Setup TV signal" it recognizes the signal as "Antenna", but he was not able to scan any guide or service.

    --------------------------

7: Interestingly, it recognizes the USB TV Tuner, but to halfway through the installer it says 'You are about to leave the media center window to start the installation process for Tuner AVerMedia digital (DMB - TH)' and the rest of the facility would be in Chinese, where he asks me which City Chinese I am etc. and cause recognized as a bad country and DMB - TH no channels are available.

    --------------------------

Could I please get a setting for help to the top of the window Media Center?

Initially, I thought it was a problem with the driver, but it seems not to be because she works for the Avermedia program.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hello

    Thank you for you answer.

I have already contacted Avermedia and they got back to me with a solution. However, they notified the problem with the interface in Chinese was the software design of the library window.

Also, I think that DMB - TH is just how Windows Media Center recognized as, because it is a hybrid TV tuner so when I click on the driver he recognizes as DMB-TH/DVB-T so its fine.

In any case, he now works correctly. It's a hybrid tuner, they asked me to install a program that allows me to switch between DVB - T and DMB - TH. So far it works well :)

    Thanks for your help.

Last year there was a fireplace in the visualizations, which was nice for Christmas carols. This year I can't. Where could I find it?

It is probably the Yule log visualization: http://channel9.msdn.com/Blogs/coolstuff/Get-the-Windows-Media-Player-Yule-Log-Visualization-for-Vista .

    Thank you

    Hello

I know this problem, it s just a bug with media player and the graphics drivers (mainly the media player causes the error it s). Please, if you want to watch something on TV and then playback must be STOPPED BEFORE you from the screen. Once you have changed the screen, enable playback and it should work.

Otherwise, go on www.videolan.org website, download the latest version of VLC Player and do it with him, it should work for sure. I never start playback of a movie or something when the screen not changed front on television that the screen alone.

  • Problems with reorded/live TV in Windows Media Center/player

Having recently updated the drivers for my graphics (Nvidea GeForce GTX 460 SE) Windows Media Player/Center refuses to show any video image during an attempt to play live TV or TV recorded previously. I only get audio.
My drivers are up to date and the only thing I can think that I've changed has been updated my graphic drivers. This is television shows that were working before.
I have been using a third-party program to play these in the meantime, but obviously it is not compatible with my remote windows.
    Any suggestions?

If it all started after updating the graphics driver, you can easily restore the driver.

Try to card tv tuner driver update. Visit the tv tuner card manufacturer's Web site to download and install the latest version of the driver.

Whenever I have try and watch live TV or recorded using Media Center program, he starts to play to repeat the first second of audio for about 6 seconds and then stops playing gives me an video error and won't let watch me something else. If I stop and try and then click RESUME He stutters and gives me this video error.
It used to work fine until I started to play with the audio settings from 5.1 to 7.1 audio in the windows configuration settings. I changed the settings in-game your 7.1 speakers. Actually I tried to switch back, but when I try to 'Test' the speakers it gives a sound like it is stuttering and I still get the video error when I try to play. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
