    Hi AndraP,

Since these are updates important, even if you hide updates, you may need to install the update at some point.

You can try to perform a clean boot and try to install the stand-alone package containing the updates.

    Step 1:

You can perform a clean boot state.

A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:

Note: Make sure that you put the computer to a Normal startup once you are finished with the installation of the update.

    Step 2:

  • installation of updates from windows to windows 7 after 10/25/10 makes me lose all access to the internet (wireless and others)

I have r530i samsung that is less than 8 weeks, after that 1 week, a new set of windows udates appeared which caused my Internet to lose. I spoke to my internet provider, between us, we confirmed there was nothing wrong with the connection or otherwise (I was able to access the internet from another PC using the same provider and user name) it was suggesteed downloads had done something for my wirless modem.

I did a complete system restore and it worked just fine.

a few weeks later, the same problem occurred after some updates of windows. Unfortunately the fault can be diagnosed because I can't access the internet? I did a full recharge of the system of 23/10/10, this has worked fine, windows then downloaded updates and my internet access has failed once again so I have disabled the automatic updates and everything seems fine.

all connections work well, I can still see the home hub it won't let me access the help please

    Hello

There are various reasons for internet connection doesn't work after installing the update of windows on the computer.

First of all, I would say that you check the update is causing the problem.

To see the updates are installed on your computer

    (a) open the updates installed by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking programs, and then r undeprograms and features, click view installed updates.

Once you know the update's KB number then visit the Microsoft Download and put the number in the search box, download and install the update manually after placing the computer in a clean boot state.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    I hope this helps!

  • Automatic update of Windows problems!

I ran the auto update 12/09/09 16:00 OK. When I got to initialize at 20:00, I could go to my office and all the icons were there, but I couldn't access anything whatsoever. I went into safe mode and tried to restore to before the update and also around a week ago. Now, when I boot on the desktop is empty with just my screensaver. I went back into safe mode so that I can access the internet. Anyope knows how can I fix? I'm quite angry ' cos it worked fine and I don't have a lot of time on this issue or want to pay someone to do it! Help, please.

  • recently impossible to implement the automatic installation of updates for Windows 7

    * Back in July 2015, I was able to get updates for my computer which uses Windows 7 Home Premium.

    * In July 2015, in the center of the Action, that's what he said:

    Windows Update                                                                                            On

Windows automatically installs updates as soon as they are available.

    * Today, January 15, 2016, I thought that I would see if there was the necessary updates as I had not seen any activity since July. In the center of maintenance that the formulation has changed, it is said now
    Currently unguarded Windows Update
              Enable messages on Windows Update
    * When I click 'Activate messages on Windows Update', a box appears at the top:
Windows Update was disabled by your system administrator.
Turn off the messages on Windows Update
    * When I click on turn off messages on Windows Update. the box at the top goes.
    * I tried all afternoon know where to go to find the place where the system administrator (that's me) disabled the update of Windows, so I can enable / turn on.  NOTE: I don't know until it on computers knowingly do something like that.  I removed some Trojan virus in the past.

Any suggestions on what I need to do to get "Windows install updates as soon as they become available" again?   Thanks for your help :)

It is a nagging problem.  I tried to help and change a variety of things in my preferences - changed my profile/access etc.  I need a little help from someone.

Note: my laptop is a new HP (2 months), I have recently updated to IE 8, I'm using Vista and it is a 32-bit system.  This cell phone belongs to me and is for use personally and in a home base business (so I'm a college professor).

P.S. The HP Chat Support has not understood this.

    Can someone help me?

Note: I am trying to solve this problem tonight, but I am not far away for awhile.

It is probably easier than I think - but I have not had this problem before.

    Question:
I downloaded, a couple of weeks, a registry clean program AdAware and ran it... It was probably the time that feature automatic updates Windows Update stopped working.

This is the problem and how to correct things now?  Should I reinstall my Windows Vista operating system or something?

I have not tried Windows updates yet as I don't know if I have to run Fixit first.
