  • HP Photosmart Software Suite from hpqdirec.exe not Solution Center

    Hello

recently installed the HP Photosmart Software Suite on my Officejet 4215xi all-in-one sisters.  Everything seemed to go well, except that when I open you'd think is supposed to be the center of Solution instead it tries to start hpqdirec.exe.  And we get a message that hpqdirec.exe is not found.

The Director is associated with following printer provided with the printer.  In my view, replace the Director in the following Photosmart Solution Center.

His machine is very old & literally, it takes hours to install this software.  I'd rather not have to run the uninstall utility, remove the HP software & all over again.

Is there a way to get the application to point to the executable file of the center of solutions instead of hpqdirec.exe without uninstalling & reinstalling the suite?

  • Windows 7 professional 64-bit installed fresh is not allow to install any software, even the drivers

Hi, my question is a little long and weird also, I installed windows 7 Professional download from the MSDN Web site. Its installed correctly and it is no mistake at all, but when I tried to have any software installed on this system installed fresh? the system is not letting me to install any software at all. I'll share my mistake, the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows that you are running. check computer system information to check whether you need a x 86 or x 64 program version, and then contact the software publisher. This error occurs when I simply double click on the file and when I try to install the software with the permission of the administrator. I get this error message, windows cannot find 'name and path of the file. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. I need help on this mysterious topic.

the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows that you are running. check computer system information to check whether you need a x 86 or x 64 program version, and then contact the software publisher.

You can get this error if you try to install the 32-bit drivers on a 64-bit version of Windows. Actually return to the web site where you downloaded the device drivers and make sure you download the 64-bit versions of your driver files.

You could try to go to the MICROSOFT website, go to KNOWLAGE database and in the search bar, try the search for WINDOWS INSTALLER. Look for any version that is newer than the one you have. If this fails, try searching on GOOGLE. You can also try to do an update to WINDOWS VISTA.

  • My computer will not install any software!

When I try to install new software. the Setup program starts and says that it is installed the program, but so he's here until the message appears saying that the installer no longer. I guess something is interfering with the process, how can I know what?

Here is a link to the Adobe support with a phone number to call for assistance to install Adobe products: http://forums.adobe.com/community/general/downloads/purchases.'  Perhaps they can help you because it's their product and they know a lot more about it as we do.  They can tell you it cannot be installed on a Vista 64-bit system (make sure you mention, this is the situation at the outset).  They can also provide you with something that will do install they would know only.  It's certainly worth a try.

Adobe also has a forum download and installation for the display of questions about these issues, but to read, it doesn't seem to be frequentled a lot and you're not likely to get an answer anywhere near as fast as you do at forums like this one--but here is if you want to try (although I wouldn't bother) : http://forums.adobe.com/community/general/downloads/purchases.  It also includes the phone number for disorder installation and instructions on how to get through and talk to a human being who may be able to help.

I checked the centre Compativiity of Vista to see if the software is compatible with Vista, but I couldn't find the product described.  This usually means that it has not been tested.  in many cases, this means also is not compatible because it was so old that they have not even not worth a try to test it - but maybe I missed it or it goes by a different name.  Here is the site to check it out for yourself: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/Search.aspx?type=Software&s=Adobe%20Photoshop%202.0%20deluxe.  When I went on the WAA site, I tried a Photoshop 2.0 deluxe and found absolutely nothing about it.  What is so old?  Another problem is that you use a 64-bit system, and they have a LOT more problems with compativility software and hardware than 32-bit systems.  I suspect that the program cannot be installed on your system due to these problems.

You can try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 and see if you are able to install the product in this mode.  If you have the same problems, return the system to normal state, according to the procedures and reboot - it will not solve the problem (and this removes most of the programs and services running and interfere with the installation so that pretty much excludes this possibility).

Try disabling your AV software and then right-click on the installation icon and click rund as administrator and see if that helps.  Don't forget to reactivate the AV software when you are done.

Try to start in safe mode (repeatedly hitting the F8 key during startup until the menu appears) and try to install it in safe mode (if it will let you - it can not allow installation, but it's worth a try) and see if it works.

I hope that one of these options help (assuming that it is possible to install the product with your version of Vista).

    Good luck!

Yes it is. You can run the XP compatibility mode if you have Win 7 Professional or ultimate edition.

Bize bit of your OS is not serious. Compatibility mode is 32-bit only and can be downloaded for free for free. You can read all about it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/ Ron
