Here is my problem for the last 3 months, I got a problem with the installation of programs on my newest PC is Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2. After Installation the problem is that when I go to start and all programs folder menus and switch to this folder the last installed Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, the program shows as empty folder. I can't run anything in the menu start all programs. Other small programs that I installed, I was able to start the program to find the exe to start and worked with it by starting the program example start.exe start. When I start sqlservr.exe manually from C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL server\MSSQL10_50.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\Binn it comes up with a black screen and a small window which I don't know that I do not get the appropriate permissions on the files it needs to run. C: Program Files and c: data files have corrupted permissions or other files are corrupt is there a way to reset these permissions back to their original condition or what else is happening here? Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance.   Sorry, there is a misunderstanding: you can put a program in the menu all programs.  I thought that you wanted to put in the box above that.

  If you want to put in the menu all programs, here's how:

  1. Click all programs and choose open
  2. Drag the icon into the folder that appears (as you say, it's like Windows 95/98)

  It should put there when the program is installed, but the Setup program takes this decision, some programs do not, others give the user a choice.

  For email alerts, can you check your profile page (here) and see if there is e-mail address listed correctly?

  When you go to start, type spider and see if it lists the game.  Otherwise, type appwiz.cpl and press ENTER.  Then click Add windows components, and then check out the games.  Sometimes, on Windows 7 Pro, they are disabled.

  3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

  Check if the problem persists in safe mode.

  While nothing in the Startup tab is vital to win it can prevent vital programs from functioning as expected.

  And if you buy a new PC, it would normally win pre-installed and the manufacturer will have also included all kinds of utilities/Add-ons not less a trial anti-virus program

  Pavilion dv4-2145-dx Windows 7 Ultimate x 64.

  I install a new program that puts an icon on the desktop.  I right click on the desktop icon and select Pin to the Start Menu.  When I click on the Start Menu, the icon has been converted with a default Windows icon.  By clicking on the appropriate program icon default access.  Right-click on the icon/properties by default displays the correct icon and if I click on change icon the icon displayed is the correct icon.

  Any ideas as to why this icon is converted into an icon of windows by default and how to solve this problem of icon?

In the Boot Options startup disk has been disabled... I activated it. just in case... no idea what it means. After this USB doesn´t floppy have a "!" in this topic.

  Should I change here something to conditioned USB option? The order?

  I turned on my mini 3 times with the USB key in one of the 3 locations every time... it s do not know a good idea, but it's just doesn´t give me the option of Start Menu...?

  Start by using the option for "floppy USB disk hard key/Usb. This should return you to the same place as before. If it is not, disable booting to USB floppy option and try again. Since you did not receive an "additional disk" with your USB recovery media (and even if you did, you could not use it unless you have a USB CD/DVD drive), you'll want to press 'SKIP' when prompted. Then, just follow the prompts as required and eventualy Windows will be installed.

  I realize there are other threads on this problem but mine is a little diiferent.

  I just replaced memory in both my Ultra 6 s. The steps were:

  Ultra unit has

  Deletion of records

  New memory installed

  A run the memory test (past)

  Replacement discs

  Fact

  Ultra B

  Deletion of records

  New memory installed

  Could not access the Start Menu to run a memory test.

  Shared memory of unit A and B of the unit (with 'good' memory)

  Could not access the Boot Menu

  Blank placed in drive B and turned on.

  Could not access the Boot Menu

  Disk spent

  Has started doing a factory reset to unit B

  I pulled the plug when I saw "pending RAIDar.

  So it seems to B unit works fine except that I can't access the Start Menu.

  I guess that the reset button does not work on Unit B or is it possibly caused by something else?

  Here is my MAIN question:

  What should I expect when I put the original disks to unit B?

  I noticed that Studio B was assigned to a new IP address, so I'm a little unsure of what to expect.
